*MC Empowering Young Minds for a Cleaner, Healthier Future through Awareness Activities on International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies*
*Educational Programs held across the City under the NCAP Initiative Powered by CPCC and in collaboration with Global Youth Federation India*
*Chandigarh, September 7:-* To raise awareness about air quality and environmental conservation, the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh and powered by Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), in collaboration with Global Youth Federation India, organized a series of educational activities in schools across the city under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) initiative.
Students from Govt. Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 18; Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-38 West; Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-32 West; and Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Village Khuda Ali Sher participated in various competitions, including quizzes, essay writing, poster-making, and slogan writing. More than 400 students took part in these engaging and informative activities.
The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh presented first, second, and third prizes in each category to recognize the outstanding performances and encourage continued excellence.
The initiative aims to instill a deeper understanding of the impact of air pollution on both health and the environment. By involving students in creative and educational programs, the campaign seeks to cultivate a more informed and proactive generation, equipped to address environmental challenges. This mission supports the drive for cleaner air and contributes to broader climate change mitigation efforts, ultimately improving the well-being of all communities.
