The main motive of the meeting was to discuss the list of pending works with Chief Architect and invite solutions for it. Councilors in the meeting brought in the light the issues of their respective wards which included status of verka booths, multi level parking, reestablishing City map boards, construction of community centres, development of bus queue shelters, lights and roundabouts etc. Most of the issues were taken into consideration for further process.

However, the major pending tasks were  discussed included taking ahead the paused work of House Indicators, Construction of public toilets in the area of Rock Garden, Railing at the central boards, Changing the placement of verka booth currently in sector 22-D, Provision of borewell in Kishangarh- Bhagwanpura area, Parking in many areas especially in sector 20, Construction of toilets in Muslim graveyard, Reconstruction of under ground parking areas of sector 17 and sector 8 and Resolving V3 Railing issue.

The Mayor highlighted the issue of flooding in the subway which is witnessed when one moves from sector 11 towards sector 15. She added how it might be because of the old water pipes which need immediate attention. The meeting definitely put a stress on introduction of escalators in the subway connecting ISBT 17 and sector 22.

She said that the meeting was a healthy initiative in order to accumulate at a single spot to discuss the developments and loopholes. It is otherwise difficult by every councilor to approach the concerned authorities for the work. So gathering at a single place was beneficial enough to know the layout and plans of how things required for general public shall proceed. She asked Chief Architect to accelerate the work suggested by the counselors as it is for the benefit of public of Chandigarh.
