Chandigarh, January 26:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has organized a colorful function to commemorate the Republic Day in MCC building, Sector 17, here today. Smt. Raj Bala Malik, Mayor of Chandigarh was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

While addressing a massive gathering on the occasion after unfurling the National Flag, Mayor said that Chandigarh is a beautiful city and it is our prime duty to maintain its beauty. She said that being a Smart City, Chandigarh needs to be maintained its cleanliness, all basic amenities to the citizens and latest technology and infrastructure etc.

Chandigarh, January 25 :- A meeting of village development committee for the villages Mauli Jagran was held here today under the chairpersonship of  Dr. Jyotsna Wig and attended by Sh. K.S. Thakur & Smt. Reenu Sharma (Ex Sarpanch), Sh. Ashwani, Sh. Sohan Singh, Sh. Gurpreet Singh, Sh. Ramesh Sharma, Sh. Sukhdev Kumar, Sh. Balbir Singh & Sh. Ashok Kumar (Ex. Panch), the concerned officer and Sh. Jagrar Singh Jagga, Deputy Mayor, MCC as special invitee.

During the meeting, the committee members addressed problems raised after the mergence of villages. The main problems discussed including Recarpeting the phirni road, damaged roads, Storm water drainage system, requirement of Mali for development for parks, repair the street lights, change the water supply & sewerage lines, provision of Community Centre in the village, construction of new toilets near market.

Chandigarh, January 24:- The Village Development committee meetings were held for the village Kishangarh under the chairpersonship of Smt. Kamla Sharma, councilor, village Khudda Ali Sher under the chairmanship of Sh. Charanjiv Singh and village Khudda Jassu under chairmanship of Sh. Sachin Lohatiya. All the meetings were attended by concerned members of the villages and Sh. Jagrar Singh Jagga, Deputy Mayor, MCC as special invitee.

During the meeting of village Kishangarh various issues were discussed including upgradation of infrastructure facilities i.e. sewerage, storm water, water supply, electrical and carpeting of roads and streets etc. are required to made for development of village. The issue regarding provision of regular water/electrical connection, street roads of village be carpeted, removal of malba from open points, cleaning of sewer through super suction machine etc.

In the meeting of village Khudda Ali Sher, the committee members discussed that provision of civil dispensary in the village, wastage of drinking water be tapped, overhead electrical wires be replaced, repair of street lights and repair of roads. The committee members will visit the village on 28^th January.

During the meeting of village Khudda Jassu the committee members discussed that storm water line be laid in the village and repair of village Dharmshala, to stop the open defecation provision of community toilets and sewer line be changed in the village.

25.01.2020 (Saturday)
Morning 4.00 AM to 9.00 AM                           Normal  Water Supply

The public is requested to store the water as per requirement as there will be no water supply in the afternoon  &  evening and to bear with the Municipal Corporation for inconvenience.
