IGNOU extends Fresh Admission & Re-Registration up to 15th July, 2024

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for online admission to all Masters, Bachelors, PG Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programmes and online Re-registration of all Masters and Bachelors for the session July, 2024 session till 15th July, 2024. Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Senior Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh informed that interested applicants can apply through online link for admission to any Masters, Bachelors, PG Diploma, Diploma and Certificate programmes of their choice: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/ which is available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.

SC/ST students will be admitted without charging any fee in some of the Diploma/PG Diploma & Graduate Programmes and they will have to apply online and to upload all necessary documents for fee exemption. For further information regarding the courses on offer the applicants may see the IGNOU website (www.ignou.ac.in) or IGNOU Chandigarh’s website (www.rcchandigarh.ac.in and IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RCCHD . 

Dr.  Bhanu Pratap Singh, Senior Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Centre Chandigarh informed that students should Re-registered to the subsequent year/semester till 15th July, 2024 for July, 2024 session to continue their study. For Re-registration process the candidate has to register himself/herself (if not registered) on the official website i.e. https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in/ . Whereas those who have already registered can simply login with the id- password and fill up the registration and submit the requisite fees online. In case a learner faces any difficulty he/she can approach the RC Chandigarh office for support.

*Commissioner dedicates development works to residents at EWS colony sector 32*

*Chandigarh, July 1:-* Keeping in view to provide world class services to its residents, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has completed various development works at EWS colony, Sector 32, Chandigarh.

MC Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS today dedicated the development works at the EWS colony in the presence of Smt. Anju Katyal, area councilor and others including paver block pavement, re-construction of approach streets, re-carpeting of colony, provided stainless steel indicator boards, open air gym, construction of footpath & toe wall and strengthening of storm water pipeline and sewerage system.

While speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that these development works at the EWS colony, sector 32 were completed at a cost of Rs. 1.02 Crores. She said that the works including providing 60mm thick paver blocks in Common area. She said that approach street of blocks re-constructed with 80mm thick paver blocks as passage to these blocks was in poor condition because of laying of pipeline for strengthening of storm and sewerage pipeline.

The Commissioner said that the internal streets in EWS colony have been re-carpeted with 30mm thick bituminous concrete layer and stainless steel indicator boards have been fixed in Blocks in the colony. Open Air Gym has also been provided in the park of the colony. She said that footpath and toe wall constructed in park besides strengthening of storm water pipeline and sewerage pipe line in the colony.

*Chandigarh, July 1:-* Aiming to fortify preparedness and ensure the readiness for the approaching monsoon and health challenges during the period, Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh today flagged off the ‘Safai Apnao, Bimaari Bhagao’ campaign with the “स्वच्छता मार्च” from Punjab Raj Bhawan, Sector 6, Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Rajeev Verma, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, MC Commissioner and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration and MCC.

After flagging off the campaign, the Governor commended the collective and intersectoral efforts to bolster infrastructure, implement robust hygiene practices, and foster community engagement to mitigate the risks posed by the monsoon season. He assured that this collective effort under the ‘Safai Apnao, Bimaari Bhagao’ initiative would be a success.

While speaking on the occasion, Sh. Rajeev Verma, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator said that the ‘Safai Apnao, Bimaari Bhagao’ initiative has been introduced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, through the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0, and will be implemented from July 1 to August 31, 2024.

The “स्वच्छता मार्च” was led by students, along with doctors marking National Doctor’s Day, civic body teams, Safaimitras, sanitation staff, and machinery like mobile testing units, mobile Anganwadi units, fogging machines, sewer cleaning machinery, waste collection vehicles, and mechanical road sweepers etc.

Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, MC Commissioner outlined the key elements of the initiative, which include various activities such as special cleanliness drives, regular cleaning of community and public toilets, collection and transportation of waste, sanitation and hygiene facilities for children, adequate testing of water quality, supply of drinking water, and maintenance of water works.

She highlighted Chandigarh’s rise from the 66th rank in Swachh Sarvekshan 2021 to the 12th rank in 2022, and further aiming to make Chandigarh a contender for the top positions in Swachh Survekshan-2024, emphasizing the city’s dedication to cleanliness and sustainability. She urged citizens to continue their efforts towards making Chandigarh a cleaner and healthier city. The campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens and instill a sense of ownership regarding the environment, their surroundings, and community health. The focus will be on community involvement and public awareness, community engagement and education, rainwater harvesting, and post-monsoon maintenance planning & integration.

Sh. Vinay Pratap, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senior Deputy Mayor Sh.Kuljeet Sandhu, Deputy Mayor Sh. Rajinder Sharma and other senior officials from the Chandigarh Administration and the Municipal Corporation were also present during the campaign launch.

पंचकूला, 1 जुलाई – उपायुक्त डा. यश गर्ग ने गांव गणेशपुर निवासी मोहन लाल की शिकायत पर पीडब्ल्यूडी विभाग के अधिकारियों को कहा कि अधिकारी व कर्मचारी अपनी जिम्मेदारी को निभाएं। जनता की समस्या के प्रति जवाबदेही को समझे। ठेकेदार का नंबर देने की बजाए परेशानी को दूर करें।

उपायुक्त डा. यश गर्ग आज लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में आयोजित समाधान शिविर में जनता की समस्याओं को सुन रहे थे। सोमवार को जिला के 117 लोगों ने अपनी समस्याओं को उपायुक्त के सामने रखा। शिविर में तीन परिवारों की इनकम, एक पात्र का जन्मतिथि ठीक की गई। साथ ही महिला हीरादेवी की आयु वेरीफाई करते हुए बुढ़ापा पेंशन की स्वीकृति दी गई। उपायुक्त ने संबन्धित विभाग के अधिकारियों को जल्द से जल्द इन समस्याओं का निपटान करने के निर्देश दिए।

डा. यश गर्ग को गांव गणेशपुर निवासी मोहन लाल ने बताया कि त्रिलोकपुर से खेत पराली जाने वाली सड़क खस्ताहाल है। यहां पर आए दिन दुर्घटनाएं हो रही है। एक युवती कुछ दिन पहले ही चोटिल हुई है। उन्होंने बताया कि वो पिछले एक साल से जब भी इस समस्याओं को लेकर विभाग के जेई या एसडीओ को मिलते हैं तो उन्हें ठेकेदार का नंबर दे दिया जाता है। सड़क पर गडढ़ों के बाहर निकले पत्थरों से आने-जाने में काफी दिक्कत हो रही है। उपायुक्त ने पीडब्ल्यूडी विभाग को तुरंत प्रभाव से पैचवर्क का काम करने के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही बताया कि इस सड़क की टेंडर प्रक्रिया चले हुए हैं, बरसाती मौसम के बाद निर्माण करवाया जाएगा।

उपायुक्त को अशोक ने बताया कि उनकी जगह एक्वायर करके श्राइन बोर्ड को दी गई थी। इस मामले में कोर्ट के फैसले के अनुसार उन्हें जगह के बदले जगह मिल गई, लेकिन वर्ष 2008 से अभी तक उस जगह का मालिकाना हक नहीं मिला है। उपायुक्त ने इस मामले की जांच करने के लिए निर्देश दिए। अन्य मामले में गांव गढ़ी कोटाहा निवासी मामराज ने मांग रखी की उनके गांव में सामुदायिक केन्द्र बनवाया जाए, ताकि ग्रामीणों को उचित लाभ मिल सके। अन्य शिकायत में सुशील सिंगला ने बताया कि एचएसवीपी के ड्रा में उनका प्लाट निकला हुआ है, कई महीने बीतने के बाद अभी तक उन्हें अलाॅटमेंट लेटर नहीं दिया गया है।

डा. यश गर्ग को माॅडल टाउन पिंजौर निवासी दीपक ने बताया कि उनके मकान के पास दो ड्रेन है, दोनों को रूख उनकी तरफ बना हुई है। इसी स्थिति से उनके घर में पानी आता रहा है। सामने वाले ड्रेन की मरम्मत करवाकर समस्या का समाधान करवाई जाए। अन्य मामले में बलविन्द्र सिंह ने बताया कि उसने बिजली विभाग की सभी प्रक्रियाओं को चार साल से पूरा किया हुआ है। अभी तक बिजली का कनेक्शन नहीं मिला है। उपायुक्त ने बिजली विभाग को रिपोर्ट देने के निर्देश दिए।

उपायुक्त को शिकायत में महिला सुषमा ने बताया कि उसके पिता की मृत्यु हो गई। उनका बिजली का बिल करीब 65 हजार रूपये है। परिवार में वो अकेली है। इतना पैसे भरने में असमर्थ है। उपायुक्त ने इस मामले को बिजली विभाग को उचित कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए। अन्य मामले में महिला पूजा ने बताया कि उसने मकान खरीदा था। उसे वहां पर बिजली का मीटर नहीं मिल रहा है। पुराने व्यक्ति के नाम बिजली का बिल बकाया है।

इस मौके पर अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त सचिन गुप्ता, जिला परिषद के सीईओ गगनदीप सिंह, एसडीएम गौरव चैहान, नगराधीश मन्नत राणा, जिला राजस्व अधिकारी डा. कुलदीप सिंह, जिला समाज कल्याण अधिकारी विशाल सैनी, रोडवेज महाप्रबन्धक अशोक कौशिक, जिला विकास एवं पंचायत अधिकारी राजन सिंगला समेत अन्य अधिकारीगण मौजूद रहे।

पंचकूला, 1 जुलाई- मन की बात कार्यक्रम में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के आह्वान पर हर व्यक्ति मां के नाम पर एक पेड़ अवश्य लगाए और गांव, जिला प्रदेश एवं देश को प्रदूषण मुक्त बनाने के साथ साथ हरियाली से भरपूर वातावरण तैयार करें। इससे प्रेरित होकर पंचकूला शहर को हरा भरा बनाने और प्रदूषण मुक्त बनाने की दिशा एवं पौधारोपण करने के लिए अनेक स्वंयसेवी संस्थाएं, धार्मिक संस्थाएं एवं संगठन भरपूर सहयोग कर रहे है। अब इस सहयोग में ट्राई मीडिया जर्नलिस्ट क्लब पंचकूला भी शामिल हो गया है।

इस क्लब के पदाधिकारियों ने लघु सचिवालय परिसर में पौधारोपण अभियान शुरू कर दिया है। इस अभियान के तहत आज परिसर में सैंकड़ो पौधे लगाए गए और उनकी देखभाल की भी जिम्मेवारी ली गई। क्लब से सभी पदाधिकारी नियमित रूप से न केवल इन पौधों में पानी डालने का कार्य करेंगें बल्कि इनमें खाद, दवाई डालने के अलावा गुडाई का भी कार्य किया जाएगा ताकि इन पौधों को पूरा संरक्षण देकर उन्नत किया जा सके।

यह क्लब इस बरसात के सीजन के दौरान पंचकूला शहर में 21 हजार पौधे लगाने का कार्य करेगा। इस अभियान के तहत विशेषकर आम, अमरूद, आंवला, नीम, शहतुत के फल एवं छायादार पौधे लगाए जाएगें। इस प्रकार इन पेड़ों की छाया के नीचे नागरिकों के लिए बैठने को छायादार स्थान सुलभ होगा और साथ ही फलदार पौधों से फल भी मिल सकेंगे। क्लब की ओर से सभी नागरिकों से अनुरोध किया है वे पौधारोपण अभियान में पूर्ण सहयोग करें ताकि पंचकूला को साफ, स्वच्छ एवं सुन्दर वातावरण मिलने के साथ ही हरा भरा भी बनाया जा सके और हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ज्ञानचंद के सात सरोकारों में से पंचकूला को हराभरा बनाने वाले सरोकार में भी बढचढ कर भाग लिया जा सके।  

पौधारोपण अभियान की शुरूआत में डीआईपीआरओ पंचकूला राजेश कुमार, क्लब के प्रधान मैनपाल कटकवाल, उपाध्यक्ष सतीश कुमार, महासचिव कमलेश्वर चतुर्वेदी, वित सचिव सुमित कुमार, चैयरमैन एस के जैन, सदस्य विक्रांत शर्मा, सारिका तिवारी सहित कई पदाधिकारियों एवं नागरिकों ने एक एक पौधा लगाया और उसकी सुरक्षा का दायित्व उठाने का संकल्प भी लिया। पौधारोपण अभियान को उस समय और भी गति मिली जब पास खड़े हुए सिपाही ने भी एक कदम आगे बढाते हुए पौधारोपण कर पूरा सहयोग दिया।

पंचकूला, 1 जुलाई– उपायुक्त श्री यश गर्ग के निर्देशानुसार आज  अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त, सचिन गुप्ता  ने लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में जिला बाल कल्याण परिषद् के ब्यूटी केयर प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र, पंचकूला, कालका, सिलाई एंव कढाई केन्द्र, रायपुररानी तथा कंप्यूटर प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र, रायपुररानी के नियमित व मुख्यमंत्री अन्तोदय परिवार उत्थान योजना के तहत लगभग 45 प्रशिक्षुओं को प्रमाण पत्र वितरित किए गए और उनको बधाई और शुभकामनाएं दी।

 इस अवसर पर जिला बाल कल्याण अधिकारी,  भगत सिंह ने बताया कि जिला बाल कल्याण परिषद् द्वारा जिला पंचकूला व खण्ड स्तर पर बच्चों व महिलाओं के लिए विभिन्न गतिविधियां चला रही है जिसमें जिला  के बच्चें व महिलाएं औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त करके अपना रोजगार स्थापित कर सकते है।  इस मौके पर  कार्यक्रम अधिकारी मंजू चौधरी  तथा  जिला बाल कल्याण परिषद् का स्टाफ मौजूद था
