चंडीगढ़ के बापूधाम से कोरोना के चार मामले सामने आए हैं।जिसके बाद अब अकेले बापूधाम में 220 लोग अबतक कोरोना से संक्रमित पाए जा चुके हैं और अगर पूरे शहर का कोरोना ग्राफ देखें तो अबतक 293 लोग कोरोना की चपेट में आ चुके हैं।हालांकि, 189 लोगों के ठीक हो जाने और चार लोगों की मौत हो जाने के बाद शहर में एक्टिव मरीज इस समय 100 हैं। बापूधाम कॉलोनी में शुक्रवार सुबह जो चार नए कोरोना पॉजिटिव केस सामने आए हैं उनमे 37 साल की महिला, 30 साल की महिला, 31 साल की महिला और 18 साल का युवक शामिल है।

हरियाणा पुलिस ने ज्वैलर्स, बैंक, गोल्ड लोन कंपनियों के साथ-साथ अन्य प्रतिष्ठान जहां नकद लेनदेन अधिक होता है, को महत्वपूर्ण एडवाइजरी जारी करते हुए अनुरोध किया है कि वे इन परिसरों में आने वाले लोगों का मास्क एक बार सीसीटीवी कैमरा के सामने उतरवाना सुनिश्चित करे ताकि फेस कवर की आड में कोई असामाजिक व अपरधिक तत्व अपराध करने उपरांत बच न सके।
हरियाणा के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) मनोज यादव ने सभी जिला पुलिस प्रमुखों (सीपी और एसपी) को आदेश जारी करते हुए कहा कि वे इसं संबंध में दिशानिर्देश जारी कर अपने-अपने अधिकार क्षेत्र में ज्वैलर्स / बैंक / गोल्ड फाइनेंस कंपनियों आदि को उनके परिसरों के प्रवेश द्वार पर इसे लगाने के लिए कहें।
डीजीपी ने बताया कि सरकार द्वारा कोविड-19 महामारी को देखते हुए सरकारी और सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर फेस मास्क पहनना अनिवार्य कर दिया गया है। अब, लॉकडाउन के धीरे-धीरे खुलने के साथ, मास्क पहनकर आपराधिक तत्वों द्वारा स्थिति का लाभ उठाने की संभावना है। न केवल आदतन अपराधी, बल्कि नए अपराधी चोरी / डकैती जैसी असामाजिक गतिविधियों में भी लिप्त हो सकते हैं। अगर कोई भी दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण घटना घटती है, तो सीसीटीवी कैमरों में कैद हुई तस्वीर की मदद से अपराधियों को पकड़ा जा सकता है। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने लोगों को बाहर जाते समय बहुत अधिक नकदी साथ न लेकर चलने की भी सलाह दी है। साथ ही, सभी ज्वैलर्स और अन्य प्रतिष्ठानों को सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाने चाहिए क्योंकि असामाजिक तत्व या अपराधी की पहचान फेस कवर के कारण नहीं की जा सकती। जिन परिसरों में सीसीटीवी पहले से ही स्थापित हैं, उन्हें चलती अवस्था में रखना सुनिश्चित करे। जब भी आवश्यकता हो तो पुलिस कंट्रोल रूम नंबर 100 पर तुरंत पुलिस सहायता के लिए संपर्क करें।

चण्डीगढ़, 29 मई- हरियाणा के गृह मंत्री श्री अनिज विज ने आज पुलिस विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि वे अंतोदय सरल पोर्टल पर ऑनलाइन डीडीआर (डेली डायरी रजिस्टर) शुरू की जाए और उसकी एक प्रति शिकायतकर्ता को भी उपलब्ध करवाई जाए।
गृह मंत्री आज क्राइम एंड क्रिमनल ट्रैकिंग नेटवर्किग सिस्टम (सीसीटीएनएस) के माध्यम से हरसमय पोर्टल पर दी जाने वाली सेवाओं में 15 अन्य सेवाओं को लांच किया।
श्री विज ने इस अवसर पर कहा कि पुलिस की क्राइम एंड क्रिमनल ट्रैकिंग नेटवर्किग सिस्टम की 15 और सेवाओं को हरसमय पोर्टल को सरल सेवाओं के साथ जोडने से नागरिको को सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी। उन्होंने बताया कि हर समय 24-7 ऑनलाइन पोर्टल के माध्यम से नागरिकों को पुलिस सेवाएं मुहैया करवाई जाती हैं और नागरिक पुलिस थाने में बिना जाए ऐसी 33 सेवाओं के लिए ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकता है। इन सेवाओं को प्राप्त करने के लिए पंजीकरण और सेवा आग्रह हेतु सामान्य फार्म बनाए गये हैं ताकि नागरिकों को किसी प्रकार की दिक्कत न हो।
उन्होंने बताया कि नागरिकों को एसएमएस और पोर्टल के डैशबोर्ड के माध्यम से उनके द्वारा किए गये सेवा आवेदन की जानकारी दी जाती है। हर समय पोर्टल पर 28 मई 2020 तक 4 करोड 14 लाख 28 हजार 574 लोगों ने विजिट किया है। इस अवसर पर होम सेक्रेटरी श्री विजयवर्धन, डीजीपी श्री मनोज यादव, एडीजीपी टेलीकाम एंड आईटी श्री अरशिंदर सिंह चावला और एडीजीपी लॉ एंड आर्डर श्री नवदीप सिंह मौजूद थे।

A web lecture series on COVID 19 PANDEMIC has been started by the Interdisciplinary Centre for the Swami Vivekananda Studies Panjab University Chandigarh.The special lecture series was inaugurated by Prof. V.R Sinha, Dean Research,Panjab University Chandigarh.He appreciated the efforts of the centre in this period of crisis to initiate such informative lecture series.
The first lecture in the series was delivered by Prof.Akshay Anand, Editor in Chief of Integrative Medicine case reports and Professor at the Department of Neurosciences, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Prof. RenuThakur, Coordinator, ICSVS introduced the speaker. Prof Anand spoke on The Effect of Diabetic Yoga Protocol on COVID Risk Reduction. He highlighted the need to publish data that facilitates the evidence based integration of modern and traditional medicine useful for COVID prevention and treatment, also outlined by honourable Prime minister in one of his speech. While explaining the published research data emerging from India Yoga Association-SVYASA multi centric NMB trial, and his own research he emphasised that the Diabetic Yoga protocol in the study can be helpful in reduction in stress, hypertension and delayed conversion of pre diabetes into diabetes enabling risk reduction for COVID and other infections. At a time when drug development efforts haven’t yielded any positive results, the benefits of Diabetic protocol and SVYASA COVID Yoga protocol can be tested in current pandemic. In this respect he appealed all professionals to join hands in overcoming the barriers of integration including those at educational, regulatory, funding, publishing and management level. The multi-disciplinary research can help us to form a strategy to fight these pandemics in future.

It was attended by more than 50 participants including faculty, research scholars and final year students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology.
Chairperson of UIFT&VD, Dr. Prabhdip Brar,gave an introductory note, welcoming the speaker, Ms. Mohita Indrayan, a post-graduate in Apparel Marketing & Merchandising from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. She is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of 612 League. The talk spanned the current challenges of sluggish demand, lack of liquidity and lack of labour. It is the need of the hour for fashion and lifestyle brands to stay most relevant to the customers. The New Normal will lead to changes in consumer behaviour that would encompass the propensity to save or to consume. The areas to lookout for new entrepreneurial opportunities include wellness, safety, health and comfort. The garment manufacturers need to have multitasking capabilities, learn to work with smaller workforce and to work from home. The jobs in this industry, in the future, would not look for domain specific people. Cataloguing, styling, photography, influencer marketing, fashion blogging, retail analytics and e-Commerce will be the future.

हरियाणा विधानसभा स्पीकर ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने अपने विचार साझा किए। इस दौरान उन्होंने संकेत दिए है कि पिंजौर में खाली पड़ी एचएमटी की जमीन पर हथियार बनाने की फैक्टरी लगाई जा सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि एचएमटी फैक्ट्री की लगभग 800 एकड़ जमीन खाली हैं।
प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा 20 लाख करोड़ का पैकेज दिया गया हैं और रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ ने कहा हैं कि हम आधुनिक हथियार अपने देश में ही बनाएंगे और हथियार बनाने की फैक्ट्रीज लगाएंगे। एचएमटी की इस जमीन पर अगर ऐसी एक फैक्टरी लग जाती हैं तो लोगों को रोजगार के अवसर भी मिलेंगे और जिले का विकास भी होगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि पंचकूला में डंपिंग ग्राउंड की बड़ी समस्या था, जिस पर तेजी से कार्य करने के लिए टेंडर कर दिए गए हैं, ताकि काम जल्द शुरू हो सके। उन्होंने बताया कि पंचकूला के लिए काफी प्रोजेक्ट आने वाले हैं। जबकि काफी प्रोजेक्ट्स पर कार्य प्रगतिशील है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि पिछले दिनों उन्होंने बरवाला गांव को गोद लिया था जिस पर 20 करोड़ का कार्य किए जा चुके हैं, जबकि अन्य कई विकासकार्य जारी हैं।
पंचकूला में करवाए जा रहे विकासकार्यों व आगामी भावी योजनाओं पर भी उन्होंने प्रकाश डालते हुए बताया कि कालका रोड पर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 11 पर सेक्टर 20 – 21 और सेक्टर 12-ए को जोडऩे के लिए एक पुल बनाए जाने की जो प्रस्तावित योजना है उसके संबंध में मुख्यमंत्री से बातचीत कर प्रोजेक्ट की अनुमति के लिए मामला केंद्रीय सड़क एवं परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी के मंत्रालय में भेजा गया है।
बापूधाम कॉलोनी में बुधवार देर शाम को तीन नए कोरोना पॉजिटिव केस सामने आए। जहां एक ही घर के 32 वर्षीय व 20 वर्षीय दो युवकों की कोरोना के टैस्ट की रिपोर्ट पॉजिटिव आई है।
वहीं एक अन्य घर का एक 18 वर्षीय लडक़ा पॉजिटिव मिला है। ये सभी पिछले दिनों पॉजिटिव लोगों के संपर्क में आए थे। जिन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती करवा दिया गया है।
जानकारी के अनुसार शहर में कोरोना पॉजिटिव के कुल मामले 282 हो गए हैं व चलते एक्टिव केसों की संख्या 91 हो गई है। इससे पहले 19 मरीज कोरोना को मात देकर घर लौटे हैं। इन मरीजों को सूद धर्मशाला में भर्ती थे, जिन्हें आज घर भेज दिया गया है।

The Centre for Police Administration organized a One Day International Webinar titled “Protecting the Front line: Prioritizing Police Wellness” on 28th May, 2020.
The session began with the welcome address of Dr.Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Police Administration followed by an introduction by Dr.Vibha Sharma, HOD, Department of Police Administration/Public Administration, Mehr Chand Mahajan College for Women.
The resource person, Dr. Divya Sharma, Professor, Division of Justice and Law Administration, Western Connecticut State University, United States (US) emphasized the significance of police wellness in view of acute physical, mental and emotional stressed experienced by them both on day to day basis as well as in several trying situations such as the ongoing pandemic crisis of COVID 19. She highlighted that the aspect of police wellness (i.e. physical, mental and emotional) has been relegated to a greater extent. This is so because larger masses carry a negative perception about police and police personnel. Consequently, police personnel experienced social alienization where there has been lack of interest as well as lack of sensitivity towards their physical, mental and emotional wellness. She stressed on addressing this problem in a more tangible manner rather than paying a lip service. She put forth police wellness could be achieved both through institutional and social measures.
The session was followed by an active interaction between the resource person and the participants. A large number of participants such as Mr. Hemant Kumar (DIG) BSF, Mr. Pawan Basatia (DCP), Delhi Police, Dr.Rajesh Chander, Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, Faculty members, Research scholars and studentsfrom various institutions attended the International Webinar. Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, stated that the Centre shall continue to conduct such Lecture/events in future on different theme related to Role of Police.
Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University addressed the National Webinar on Challenges and Dilemma of Online Teaching Program organized by the National Federation of Education (Rashtriya Sikshak Mahasangh), Varanasi Metropolitan Unit, Uttar Pradesh.
In his inaugral address, Prof. Kumar highlighted the complexities of teaching & learning and the daily challenges that teachers must recognise and unravel during the course of their work.
Further, Prof. Kumar said that although today we are entering generation five of telecommunications but still certain far remote areas have connectivity issues. As a student needs to be connected to a teacher virtually we need to empower youth as a community. In india, Vedas regard teacher as Guru and the importance of face to face communication cannot be undermined as it plays a vital role in overall development of the students.

Centre for Nuclear Medicine jointly with Centre for Medical Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a webinar on the theme “Radiation Safety in Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine”.
Professor Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, PU in his opening remarks laid stress on the importance of interdisciplinary approach in research which will give great impetus for drug development particularly to combat present day challenges like COVID-19 and other such ailments. He also emphasized on the significance of present webinar since nuclear medicine procedures make use of radioactive substances that can have serious health effects on radiation workers and general public if safe practices are not adopted. Therefore, when working with radiation, diminishing exposure should be the top priority and radiation safety procedures is pertinent to be adopted and practiced.
Dr. Vijayta D Chadha, Chairperson of Centre for Nuclear Medicine welcomed the participants and introduced the speaker Dr. Subhash Chand Kheruka from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate institute for Medical Sciences, Lucknow. While addressing the participants, she shared that though the whole world is under the clutches of a pandemic but we must stay interconnected to our community and academics through the webinars. Dr.Kheruka discussed about the various sources of radiation exposure, radiation detecting instruments, radiation hazards and risk assessment of cancer. He emphasized that the radiation workers must use personal monitors diligently and minimize exposure by reducing time and maximizing distance as well as shielding. In conclusion, he said that the best medicine to get rid of worry of radiation is to stick to Radiation protection rules prescribed by the regulatory authorities.
More than 40 participants from Panjab University, Chandigarh, Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences and Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate institute for Medical Sciences, Lucknow including students, research scholars and faculty members attended the webinar and had an interactive session with the speaker.
