पंचकूला, 11 जून- हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने लोगों से देश की आजादी, एकता और अखंडता को बनाये रखने व देश को विकास और उन्नति के मार्ग पर आगे लें जाने का आह्वान करते हुये कहा कि आज देश को ऐसे वीरों की आवश्यकता है जो देश को तोड़ने वाली ताकतो का उसी प्रकार डटकर मुकाबला करें, जैसे हमारे वीर क्रांतिकारी और स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने किया था।


श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता आज पंडित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल की जयंती के अवसर पर माता मनसा देवी काम्प्लैक्स सेक्टर-5 के सामुदायिक केंद्र में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में मुख्यातिथि के रूप में संबोधित कर रहे थे। इस अवसर पर श्री गुप्ता ने पंडित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल के चित्र पर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर उन्हें  नमन किया । उन्होंने कहा आज से  सेक्टर-5 स्थित सामुदायिक केंद्र पंडित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल सामुदायिक केंद्र के नाम से जाना जायेगा।


’’शहीदों की चिताओं पर लगंेंगे हर वर्ष मेले, वतन पर मिटने वालो का यही बाकी निशां होगा’’ से अपने उद्बोधन की शुरूआत करते हुये श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि आज देश को तोड़ने के लिये बहुत सी ताकते लगी हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें देश को इतना शक्तिशाली बनाना है कि देश को नुकसान पंहुचाने वाली कोई भी ताकत भारत की तरफ आंख उठाकर भी ना देश सकें। उन्होंने कहा कि असंख्य क्रांतिकारियों ने देश को आजाद करवाने के लिये अपनी कुर्बानी दी हैं और यह हम सबका कत्र्तव्य है कि हम देश की एकता व अंखडता को बनाये रखें।


विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि हमने तय किया है कि पंचकूला के प्रत्येक सामुदायिक केंद्र का नाम किसी एक वीर क्रांतिकारी/स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के नाम पर रखा जायेंगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इसके साथ साथ भविष्य में बनने वाले सामुदायिक केंद्रों का नाम भी वीर शहीदों के नाम पर रखा जायेगा ताकि हमारी आने वाली पीढ़ियां देश की आजादी के लिये अपने प्राण न्यौछावर करने वाले वीर क्रांतिकारियों के बारे में जान सके और उनके जीवन से प्रेरणा लें सके। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें बच्चों को बताने की आवश्यकता है कि आज हम जिस खुली हवा में सांस लें रहे है, उसके लिये देश के वीर शहीदों ने बहुत बड़ी कीमत चुकायी है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज सब मिलकर संकल्प लें कि हम जीयेंगे तो देश के लिये और मरेंगे तो देश के लिये।


श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि पंडित राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल का जन्म 125 वर्ष पूर्व आज ही के दिन 1897 में हुआ था और मात्र 30 वर्ष की आयु में सन 1927 में उन्हें फांसी दें दी गई थी। उनका कसूर केवल इतना था कि वे भारतवर्ष को आजाद देखना चाहते थे। उन्होंने कहा कि पंडित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल अंग्रेजों के भारतीयों के प्रति व्यवहार और देश को क्षेत्रवाद और जातिवाद के नाम पर तोड़ने के लिये अपनाये जा रहे हथकंडो से आहत थे । पंडित रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल और ऐसे ही अंसख्य क्रांतिकारियों ने प्रण लिया कि वे देश को अंग्रेजो के चुंगुल से छुड़ाकर ही चैन लेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत के वीर क्रांतिकारियों ने देश की आजादी के संघर्ष में अनेक यातनायें सही। भारत माता की जय और वंदे मात्रम के नारे लगाने वालो को काला पानी की सजा दी जाती थी और जेलो में डाल दिया जाता था परंतु फिर भी उन्होंने हार नहीं मानी। श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि शहीद भगत सिंह, सुखदेव, राजगुरू व करतार सिंह सराबा जैसे अनेक क्रांतिकारियों ने देश को आजाद करवाने के लिये अपना सर्वस्व न्यौछावर कर दिया। वे खुद तो आजादी की हवा में संास नहीं लें पाये परंतु उनकी कुबार्नियों का ही नतीजा है कि आज हम सब आजादी की खुली हवा में सांस लें रहे है।

पंचकूला, 11 जून – निर्जला एकादशी के अवसर पर आज अश्विनी गुप्ता मेमोरियल ट्रस्ट पंचकूला द्वारा हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता के दिवंगत सुपुत्र श्री अश्वनी गुप्ता की याद में अग्रसेन चौक, सेक्टर – 16 में छबील लगाई गई। इस अवसर पर श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता ने राहगीरों को स्वयं मीठा जल पिलाया व प्रसाद वितरित किया।

श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता अपने राजनीतिक जीवन के साथ – साथ समाज के प्रति अपने दायित्वों का भी भलि भांति निर्वहन करते हैं और समय -समय पर अपने सुपुत्र की याद में ट्रस्ट के माध्यम से रक्तदान शिविर और युवाओं को नशे की लत से दूर रखने के लिए विभिन्न खेल प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन करते रहते हैं। इसी कड़ी में आज राहगीरों के लिए विशेष तौर पर छबील का आयोजन किया गया ताकि इस भीषण गर्मी के मौसम में कोई भी व्यक्ति प्यासा न रहे।

इस अवसर पर श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि निर्जला एकादशी हिन्दू धर्म में सबसे पवित्र दिन माना जाता है। इस दिन महिलाएं व बहनें व्रत रखकर अपने परिवार, बच्चों और समाज की खुशहाली और उन्नति की कामना करती हैं। इस दिन जगह-जगह छबीलों का आयोजन भी किया जाता है, ताकि इस गर्मी के मौसम में कोई भी राहगीर प्यासा न रहे। उन्होंने भी आज अपने सुपुत्र दिवंगत श्री अश्वनी गुप्ता की याद में छबील का आयोजन किया है। उन्होंने आमजन से अपील की कि वे जून के इस तपती गर्मी के माह में अपने स्वास्थ्य का ख्याल रखें और जहां तक संभव हो सीधी धूप से बचें और छांव में रहें।

राज्यसभा चुनावों में जीत लोकतंत्र की जीत – ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता

इस मौके पर राज्यसभा चुनाव को लेकर पूछे गए प्रश्न के उत्तर में श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि हरियाणा से राज्यसभा की 2 सीटों के लिए हुए चुनाव में भाजपा के श्री कृष्ण लाल पंवार और निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार कार्तिकेय शर्मा विजयी रहे हैं। इस जीत पर दोनों सांसदों को बधाई देते हुए श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि यह जीत सही मायने में लोकतंत्र की जीत है। मैं आशा करता हूं कि दोनों सांसद राज्यसभा में हरियाणा के हितों की आवाज को और बुलंद तरीके से उठाएंगे।

उन्होंने कहा कि लोकतंत्र में सबको अपनी अंतरआत्मा की आवाज सुनकर वोट देने का अधिकार है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्यसभा का चुनाव एक महत्वपूर्ण चुनाव है जिसमें विधानसभा में चुने हुए प्रतिनिधि राज्यसभा के लिए अपने नुमायंदे चुनकर भेजते हैं। सभी विधायकों ने सोच-समझकर मतदान किया है, जिसका बड़ा ही सुखद परिणाम आया है।

एक अन्य प्रश्न के उत्तर में श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि 2024 के लोकसभा चुनाव एकतरफा चुनाव होंगे और पूरे देश में अब तक की सबसे अधिक बहुमत वाली सरकार प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में बनने जा रही है।

MCC holds “Aapke Saath” awareness meetings with city RWAs at 5 different locations

Chandigarh, June 11:- To increase citizen participation in segregation of waste at source level and home composting, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh organized meetings today at different sectors to commemorate Environment Week from 5th-11th June under the theme “Aapke Saath”.

During which representatives of Resident Welfare Associations shared their practices on segregation and home composting. The citizens appreciated the efforts of Corporation by mentioning that officials are interacting, available and dealing their problems and issues, a change and transformation is being noticed for last couple of months.

While addressing the representatives of different RWAs at community centre, sector 8, here today Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh said that the residents, who are composting their wet or kitchen waste at their houses should lead by example and show small, incremental sprints towards successful composting to generate interest and participation gradually.

She said that laws of collective behavior suggest that if someone sees their neighbours doing something together, they are compelled to join in to be socially included. Once enough momentum is gathered, the RWAs can invest in larger community composting systems. For RWAs that need to compost on-site, composting solutions can be made available by the civic body, added the Mayor.

Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, MCC addressed similar programme of RWAs at community centre, sector 22 during which she said that from segregation to recycling to making compost, residents should handle the waste responsibly and ensure that it does not end up in mixed form at Dadumajra landfill.

She said that the RWAs should hold virtual or physical demonstrations for the city residents, domestic help and housekeeping staff to understand and practice segregation and create awareness about the categories of household waste so that every home knows what items fall under dry, wet, sanitary and hazardous waste.

She said that waste passes through multiple hands before final disposal. If domestic dry and wet waste is not separated, the compost plant run by the Municipal Corporation does not process it and if sanitary and hazardous waste i.e. diapers, sanitary napkins, glass shards, chemicals etc. are not segregated it ends up causing illness and injuries to waste collectors.

She lauded the efforts of office bearers of RWAs with nearly 100 odd houses & flats in sector 22-A, which generates around 200 Kgs of solid waste, including 150 Kgs only kitchen waste, every day. But unlike many other sectors or societies, the residents of these houses make sure that all of their waste is recycled and does not gone to the waste collector.

It all began one year ago when Smt. Puja Ghai and Sh. Hem Raj Satija had practiced waste segregation at their houses for over a couple of months by segregating dry waste separately and making compost from the kitchen and horticulture waste and they decided to turn this into a campaign, involving all nearby residents of their sector.

Today during the awareness meeting organized by the MCC at Sector 22, both Smt. Pooja Ghai and Sh. Hem Raj Satija shared their practices home composting and segregation of waste, which was highly appreciated by all the representatives of other Resident Welfare Associations and ensured to adopt the same to reduce their waste at source level.

Muskan, a resident of Dhanas, guided other residents of  the local area regarding the three dimensional benefits of home composting. She said she has been doing home composting for the past few years. Initially, she felt a bit awkward. She also told the residents to start the home composting with level 1, i.e., putting only waste vegetables & fruits in the compost bin. Further, she also requested all the residents to follow the same to make our city clean and green.

Door to Door Waste Collectors at different programmes, requested all the residents to provide the segregated waste in 4 categories, i.e., Dry Waste, Wet Waste, Sanitary Waste and Hazardous Waste. They said that if every household segregate their household waste at source level, this would safeguard them from the skin and other medical diseases and save their time.

During all the programmes at various locations, the officers of MCC, representatives of RWAs took an pledge to abstain from single use plastics usage and segregate waste at source level.

MCC cracks down on illegal hoardings violating Advertisement Control Act norms

Chandigarh, June 11:- Keeping in view the road safety and city aesthetics in mind, all unauthorized hoardings that fall under the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh jurisdiction are under stern scrutiny.

Cracking down on illegal hoardings violating advertisement control order 1954 provisions, Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh today ordered the concerned officers to take strict action against such violations throughout city and regular inspections will be carried out in city markets to remove the illegal hoardings.

Following which, the enforcement wing of MCC removed illegal boards/banners from various sectors which were displayed contrary to the provisions of the Chandigarh Advertisement Control Order 1954 and notices have been served to the five violators having penalties of around 1.8 crores. The violators were including Best Ever, Sector 22-D, Kashwi Tution, Madam Maya & DK Goyal, Connect, PORTER, Bansal classes, EDVX Trum, (all Sector 34), Apptizer food point, Sanjay Dhaba, Daily Dose, Batra Corner, Anamika Boutique, Shiv Food, Booth No.88, Spy Singh, Hair Dresser, My Insurance Point, Shine and Glowand PC laptop repair (all Sector 27).

The Commissioner stated that proper awareness meetings were organized with all the stakeholders in the month of April, 2022 regarding implementation of the Chandigarh Advertisement Control Order, 1954 provisions. The order was implemented, keeping road safety and city aesthetics in mind. According to the CACO, 1954, prior permission of the MCC authority is required to display an advertisement to public view in any manner. Recently, The Enforcement Wing of the MCC has also announced an intensive drive to remove posters, banners and illegal hoardings or advertisements installed at public places and busy markets in areas falling under the civic body.

The latest drive by the civic authorities will also take action against self signages that violate the rules. As per the CACO, 1954, self signages that are exceeding 1.5 square meters of a shop needs to take prior consent by the civic body. The awareness is to ensure that unauthorized advertisements, self-signages, flexes and hoardings that have been erected in violation of CACO, 1954 are removed.

If these tools were available during Gandhi ji’s time, he would have embraced them as tools for communication but he would have cautioned the users also about the drawbacks. He would have kept in view the rights of individuals. These views were expressed by Dr. Rakesh Malhotra, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental, Earth and Geospatial Sciences, NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY, Durham, North Carolina, USA who is on Foreign Visiting Faculty in the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies, PU, Chandigarh . In his expository talk, Dr. Rakesh highlighted that how we keep the positivity of these tools for the betterment of the humanity and as tool of brotherhood as a very thin line is always between the right and wrong. As these tools are just like our 5 sensing organs of the body.

लेखक समाज का मार्गदर्शक होता हैं और उसे हमेशा समाज की उत्थान के लिए अपनी लेखनी चलाते रहना चाहिए। लेखक को सदैव लोगों के जीवन स्तर में सुधार के लिए प्रयासरत रहना चाहिए ताकि समाज में नई चेतना का संचार हो सके। पुस्तकें हमारी अभिभावक, मित्र और मार्गदर्शक होती हैं, इनका हमारे जीवन में न केवल विशेष स्थान होता है बल्कि ये हमारे व्यक्तित्व का निर्माण भी करती है। हमारे शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि ‘बुद्धि यस्य बलम् तस्य’ अर्थात जिनके पास बुद्धि होती है वही सबसे बलवान व्यक्ति होता है। बुद्धि का विकास, ज्ञान से होता है और ज्ञान की वृद्धि केवल दो प्रकार से ही हो सकती है। पहला, सभ्रांत लोगों के संग रहने से और दूसरा अच्छी पुस्तकों के पठन से। यह उद्गार हरियाणा के राज्यपाल श्री बंडारू दत्तात्रेय ने शुक्रवार को हरियाणा निवास में हरियाणा राज्य उच्च शिक्षा परिषद द्वारा आयोजित कार्यक्रम में दो पुस्तकों ‘Managing Education Post Covid: Challenges & Opportunities’ और ‘कोरोना काल में शिक्षा व्‍यवस्‍था चुनौतियां एवं संभावनाएं’ के विमोचन करने उपरान्त अपने सम्बोघन में व्यक्त किए।

समारोह में राज्‍यपाल बंडारू दत्तात्रेय ने कहा कि कोविड महामारी के संकट ने हमें शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में नवाचार के लिए भी प्रेरित किया है। कोविड से उत्पन्न हुई बाधाओं को दूर करने के लिए दुनिया के अनेक शिक्षण संस्थानों ने नई खोज शुरू कर दी थी। इन दोनों पुस्तकों का सृजन इसी का परिणाम है। राज्यपाल ने कहा कि परिषद् द्वारा प्रकाशित पुस्तकों में कोविड के समय शिक्षा प्रबन्ध व डिजीटल शिक्षा प्रणाली की सार्थकता के बारे में लेखों को छापा गया है। ये पुस्तकें हरियाणा की ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे देश की शिक्षण संस्थाओं के लिए एक मील का पत्थर साबित होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि कोरोना काल में हमने प्रतिकुलता में अनुकूलता बनाए रखना सीखा है। इसी के चलते शिक्षण संस्थाओं में डिजीटल माध्यमों से अपनी शिक्षा को जारी रखा और विद्यार्थी भी जुडे़ रहे। शिक्षक वर्ग ने नए डिजीटल माध्यमों को अपनाकर शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में नई शुरूआत की। इस काल में लोगों ने नए विचार, आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रख कर नए अविष्कार हुए हैं। श्री दत्तात्रेय ने साहित्य से जुड़ी हस्तियों को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि इस काम में हमने आपदा में अवसर ढूंढे हैं और अपनी रचनाओं का सृजन किया है। आज पुस्तकों का प्रकाशन होना उनकी सृजन शक्ति का ही परिणाम है।

इस अवसर पर पुस्तकों के संपादक एवं हरियाणा राज्‍य उच्‍च शिक्षा परिषद् के अध्‍यक्ष प्रो. बृजकिशोर कुठियाला ने कहा कि कोरोना काल में धन नहीं बल्कि मानवीय संवेदनाएं काम आई और इन संवेदनाओं के चलते विश्व ने भारत से सीखा है। इस दौर में शिक्षा की सामूहिक चेतना परिवर्तित हुई है। शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में डिजिटल माध्यमों का हमने सीखने और सिखाने पर प्रयोग किया है जो शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण सिद्ध होगा। प्रो कुठियाला ने कहा कि आज कोरोना संकट के दौर में ऑनलाइन शिक्षा के जरिये शिक्षा के स्वरूप में बदलाव हो रहा है। कोरोना जैसी विषम परिस्थिति से शीघ्र निकलने के लिए शिक्षकों ने कई नये अभिनव प्रयोग किए है। कार्यक्रम में पुस्‍तकों का परिचय प्रो. राजीव कुमार ने दिया और प्रदेश के आमंत्रित लेखकों ने अपने अनुभव व्‍यक्‍त किया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में परिषद के परामर्शदाता केके अग्निहोत्री ने सभी आगतों का धन्‍यवाद ज्ञापित किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन परिषद् में सहायक प्राध्‍यापक डॉ. अमरेन्‍द्र कुमार आर्य ने किया। इस अवसर पर दोनों पुस्‍तकों में निबंध लिखने वाले लेखकगण एवं शहर के वरिष्‍ठ पत्रकार उपस्‍थित थे।

Chandigarh, June 10:- Plogging is trending in the city beautiful with Municipal Corporation Chandigarh’s new push ‘Clean as you jog’, gradually trying to embrace this new fitness trend, in which joggers pick up garbage as they run, to save the environment.

Commemorating Environment week from 5th-11th June, on Friday, Mrs. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh kick-started the initiative of plogging at Manimajra area during which group of local residents, MCC officers and officials and around 20-25 fitness enthusiasts and morning walkers, carrying jute bags and wearing gloves in their hands, jogged and picked up the trash all along their jogging tracks inside the garden and road berms.

Speaking on the new initiative, the Mayor said that plogging is a new concept that is trending in the city and is an environment friendly exercise mashup that combines jogging with the environmental benefits of picking up trash. While jogging helps the people to stay fit, collecting the trash from the gardens and road sides helps to keep the environment fit and fine, she added.

She said that this activity helps people burn some extra calories as they are constantly bending to collect the trash all along the route. It also helps to break the monotony of jogging. Unaware of the new initiative and oblivious to what was going on around, some of the morning walkers at Mamimajra area were taken by surprise when they spotted the joggers stopping along the tracks just to pick up trash and store it in a waste bag, said the Mayor.

Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh started plogging at New lake area, sector 42, where Sh. Jasbir Singh, area councilor and other members of resident welfare association and locals alongwith volunteers of NGO joined for plogging.

The Commissioner said that the aim was not to collect huge quantities of trash or cleaning the entire gardens or road sides and make it free of garbage; it was just a new form of exercise coupled with a simple effort to save the environment. She said that such activities would be carried out every weekend to start with. Later, it will be expanded to all parks and throughout the week when citizens from all parts of city join in.

She said that plogging is a very healthy exercise as it involves variation in body movement like bending, stretching and squatting alongside of course running. Plus, beautifying the city as go by, its dual benefits are worth vouching for, added the Commissioner.

The Commissioner appealed to the citizens of Chandigarh stop throwing garbage on the road sides and littering in the gardens rather always carry a small bag in your car of moving through gardens to collect waste and drop it in the dustbins installed by the MCC in the parks and other areas of city.

During the activity the team collected all sorts of trash and garbage including gutka packets, chips packets, water bottles, cigarette butts, discarded bottles and ice-cream sticks etc.

In other parts of city too, the area councilors and local residents participated in the plogging activities where they picked up discarded plastic bottles and empty polythene packets to drop them in the dustbins. Seeing this new initiative, the local residents lauded this activity and joined the group of councilors and joggers in their respective areas.

The 4th Sat Paul Mittal Memorial Lecture on “Future Trends in Telecommunication” was held in hybrid mode under the Bharti Chair in Telecom & IT Research on June 09, 2022, at 11:30 AM in UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Mr Avinash Agarwal, Deputy Director General (Convergence & Broadcasting), Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), DoT, Government of India delivered the talk starting with an introduction and the mission of the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC).

The speaker described the evolution of telephony as how the 5G network evolved from existing fixed-line telephones. He also stated the impact of telecom evolution on lifestyle, Jobs and home services. The transformations in broadcasting were discussed along with its key technological developments. He traced the evolution of 5G starting from 1G analog, 2G digital, 3G mobile data, and 4G mobile broadband. Several 5G use-case scenarios were discussed including the areas of enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), massive machine-type communications (mMTC), and ultra-reliable and low latency communications (URLLC). Also, he deliberated upon the deployment strategies of 5G worldwide including various challenges in the Internet of Things (IoT), technical challenges include connectivity, reliability, cost, policy challenges including IPR, governance and some common challenges like standards, interoperability, security and privacy. He also talked about the status of 5G roll-out in India and the rise of the 6G network along with its key characteristics.

The role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in the telecommunication industry was reviewed, specifically concerning the 5G network. The presentation delivered by him also touched upon the concepts of the technologies that made IoT possible. The industrial internet of things (IIoT) is the use of smart sensors and actuators to enhance manufacturing and industrial processes. He also discussed IoT and M2M technology with the difference between these technologies. Also, he stated the need for Green Telecommunication and why it should not be ignored. He also discussed IPv6 and its advantages over IPv4 and the reason behind TEC promoting IPv6 based telecommunication devices. Towards the end of his talk, Mr Agarwal discussed several ITU-T Study & National Working Groups. He stated that students can contribute to these groups mentioning the benefits of contributing as well.

Dr Veenu Mangat welcomed all the guests and introduced Sh. Sat Paul Mittal who was elected twice to Rajya Sabha for a term of six years each in 1976 and 1982. United Nations decorated him with the prestigious United Nations Peace Medal in 1987. Dr Neelam Goel introduced the rich legacy of Panjab University and shared the genesis of the setting up of the Bharti Chair in Telecommunication and IT at UIET. She detailed the scope of activities of the Bharti Chair from teaching to innovation and industry interaction. The profiles of Bharti Chair, Prof. Pamela Kumar and Dr D. N. Singh were introduced. The activities conducted under the Bharti Chair in the last couple of years were shared during the event. Professor Pamela Kumar, Visiting Professor Bharti Chair, introduced the distinguished speaker and set the context for the lecture and the vision for future activities. Prof. Krishan Kumar proposed a vote of thanks for the guests, organizers and all attendees.

Bharti Chair in Telecommunication and Information Technology was established in UIET, Panjab University in 2002 by Bharti Telecom Group in the memory of Late Sh. Sat Paul Mittal who was a visionary leader. For this purpose, the endowment was given by Sh. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Enterprises for enhancement of knowledge in the field of telecommunication.

The event was held under the mentorship of Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University (Chief Patron), Prof. Renu Vig, DUI, Panjab University (Patron), Prof. J.K. Goswamy, Director, UIET, Panjab University (Co-Patron). Prof. Roopali Garg, Dean Student Welfare (Women), Panjab University was the Convenor of the event and Dr. Neelam Goel, Assistant Professor, UIET, Panjab University was the Co-convenor of the event.

More than 220 faculty members/ research scholars/ students along with external stakeholders participated in hybrid mode. The lecture was highly informative and interactive.

पंचकूला, 9 जून – हरियाणा में पंचकूला के ताऊ देवी लाल स्टेडियम में खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स-2021 के हो रहे मुख्य मुकाबले देखने के लिए  खिलाडियों के अभिभावकों के अलावा अन्य लोग भी पंचकूला पहुंच रहे हैं।  अतरराष्ट्रीय मानदंडों के अनुरूप खेलों के लिए तैयार किया गया ये स्टेडियम लोगों में चर्चा का विषय बना हुआ है। खेलों में भाग लेने के लिए 36 राज्यों व केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों के स्कूली बच्चों के साथ आए कोच व अन्य स्पोर्टिंग स्टाफ के साथ-साथ भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण व विभिन्न खेल फेडरेशनों का  तकनीकी स्टाफ व खेल विशेषज्ञ स्टेडियम में हो रही हर प्रतियोगिता पर नजर बनाए हुए हैं।खेलो इंडिया का लक्ष्य भविष्य के लिए भारतीय टीम के खिलाड़ी तैयार करनाप्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के फिट इंडिया मूवमेंट के विजन को मूर्त रूप देने के लिए विशेषज्ञों द्वारा स्कूली बच्चों के लिए खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स तथा कॉलेज व विश्वविद्यालयों के लिए इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स के लिए तैयार की गई रूपरेखा का मुख्य लक्ष्य भावी भारतीय टीमों के लिए खिलाडियों की पहचान करना है। वर्ष 2018 से दिल्ली से आरंभ किए गए  खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स के प्रति हर वर्ष खिलाडियों का रूझान बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। अब तक दिल्ली के बाद पुणे व गुवहाटी में आयोजित खेलो इंडिया में भाग लेने वाले खिला़िड़यो की संख्या की तुलना में अब हरियाणा के पंचकूला में आयोजित हो रहे खेलो इंडिया में खिलाडियों ं की संख्या में काफी वृद्धि हुई है। दिल्ली में लगभग 2500िि खलाडियों ं ने भाग लिया था  जबकि अब  पंचकूला में आयोजित खेलो इंडिया में 8000 खिलाडियों ं ने भाग लिया है। इसीप्रकार, इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स में भी देशभर के 208 विश्वविद्यालयों के 3900 से अधिक खिलाडियों ं ने भाग लिया था। दोनों ही गेम्स के आयोजन का मुख्य लक्ष्य खेल फेडरेशनों को सक्रिय करना और विद्यार्थी काल से ही खिलाडियों ं को खेल के प्रति प्रेरित करना है।हर खिलाड़ी की इच्छा कि उसके राज्य का खेल मंत्री व खेल सचिव पहुंचे पंचकूलाखेलो इंडिया में खेल रहे हर खिलाड़ी की इच्छा है कि उसका खेल देखने के लिए उसके राज्य का खेल मंत्री व खेल सचिव पंचकूला पहुंचे ताकि उनकी हौसलाअफजाई करने के साथ-साथ वे यहां पर उपलब्ध खेल इनफ्रास्टक्चर की जानकारी भी ले सकें और संभव हो तो अपने राज्य में भी ऐसा ही इन्फ्रास्टक्चर तैयार करने की पहल करें।

 राजस्थान के नेता भी पहुंचे हैं स्टेडियम में दो बारपंजाब के राज्यपाल एवं केन्द्र शासित प्रदेश चण्डीगढ़ के प्रशासक श्री बनवारी लाल पुरोहित, जो मूल रूप से राजस्थान के रहने वाले हैं, जहां कल लगभग दो घंटे स्टेडियम में रहे, वहीं दूसरी ओर केन्द्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री श्री गजेन्द्र सिंह शखावत आज मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल के साथ स्टेडियम पहुंचे। उन्होंने आज से आरंभ हुए हैंडबाल व बॉस्केट बाल प्रतियोगिता व पहली बार खेलो इंडिया में शामिल मलखंभ के खिलाडियों ं के प्रदर्शन को देख कर खिलाडियों की हौसलाअफजाई की। दोनों ही दिन राजस्थान के खिलाड़ी अपने राज्य के नेताओं को स्टेडियम मे देख स्वयं को गौरवान्वित महसूस कर रहे थे। राज्यस्थान मूल के दोनों ही नेताओं का मत था कि अन्य राज्यों को हरियाणा से प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए।
