पंचकूला, 11 अप्रैल- चैत्र नवरात्र मेले के तीसरे दिन आज श्री माता मनसा देवी, श्री काली माता मंदिर कालका चंडी माता मंदिर में श्रद्धालुओं ने कुल 24 लाख 82 हजार 101 रूपये की राशि दान स्वरूप अर्पित की। माता मनसा देवी मंदिर में 76,000 श्रद्धालुओं ने माता के दर्शन किए।


श्री माता मनसा देवी मंदिर में 20 लाख 91 हज़ार 029 रुपये, श्री काली माता मंदिर कालका में 2 लाख 51 हजार 922 रुपये और चंडी माता मंदिर में 1लाख 39 हजार 150 रुपये दान स्वरूप अर्पित किए गए।


इसके अलावा श्री माता मनसा देवी मंदिर में सोने के तीन नग, चांदी के 51 नग और श्री काली माता मंदिर कालका में सोने के 5 नग, 49 चांदी और चंडी माता मंदिर में 2 चंडी के नग भी दान स्वरूप अर्पित की गये।

The University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development recently celebrated the resounding success of its annual showcase, Shears and Ruban 2024, featuring the B.Sc. Semester 6th Annual Design Collection. Dr. Prabhdip Brar, Associate Professor the Show Coordinator and Chairperson of UIFT&VD, eloquently highlighted the creative brilliance of the students and the invaluable guidance of the mentors. The event unfolded in the prestigious Law Auditorium at Panjab University, where 38 captivating design collections were presented, with half showcased as trunk displays and the remaining 15 showcased through captivating runway presentations.

The UIFT&VD team warmly welcomed esteemed dignitaries, including Chief Guest Prof. Rumina Sethi, Dean University Instructions of Panjab University, Special Guest Prof. Simrat Kahlon, Dean Student Welfare, P.U. and Guest of Honor Prof. Amandeep Singh Grover, Director of NIFT Panchkula. This year’s annual collection showcased a diverse array of inspirations and expressions. Notable themes included Palak’s “Himachali  Yaadein,” a fusion of Himachal’s rich traditions with contemporary fashion; Gunjan’s exploration of the parallel universe and otherworldly aesthetics; Kashish’s innovative use of reusable plastics; and Diksha’s “Rooted in Nature,” which celebrated the organic elements of the natural world. Other designs experimented with cyanotype printing, sustainable upcycling, bohemian fusions, gothic punk styling, and doodled human emotions.

The trunk displays by the students provided a unique opportunity for curious attendees to engage directly with the young designers, discussing their skills and artistic visions. Dr.  Prabhdip Brar, Associate Professor, Chairperson of the department, commended the faculty for nurturing a creative spirit within the students and praised the students for their dedication and sincerity in making the show a resounding success.
