Chandigarh, February 6:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh earned Rs. 44.82 lacs from the auction of unclaimed seized articles and unregistered/unauthorized vendors challans.

While sharing this information here today, Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh said that the Municipal Corporation regularly carries out drives to remove unauthorized encroachments from all parts of city and seizes various items of violators . She said that seized items have now been auctioned through which the MCC has fetched a handsome amount. The unregistered/unauthorized vendor’s challans were w.e.f. 1.7.2021 to 30.04.2022 and violations by Registered Street Vendors challans w.e.f. 1.1.2021 to 30.04.2022.

She said that these unclaimed articles were seized two years ago and their owners had not come to get their articles released. The articles had been gathering dust at stores of MCC and after following due procedure the unclaimed articles have been auctioned.

Lecture series ‘Learn the ropes with alumni’ was held at UIFT &VD with Aishwarya Bansal. She pursued her graduation in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology from UIFT. She started her business after completing her  course in 2020. Around 50 students and alumni joined her webinar, which was organized by Ms. Parneet Brar, guest faculty at UIFT.

In her third year as a student of the department, Aishwarya described her experiences when she initially began Instagram blogging. She highlighted how she began blogging for fun and subsequently turned it into a source of revenue by becoming a social media manager. In order to gain more exposure, she emphasised the need of taking risks and venturing outside of one’s comfort zone.

She described how she launched her online business, “Sosho,” and the prerequisites and preliminary preparations required to make it happen. She elaborated various material she uses, the types of products she creates and the detailed concept of Social Media Marketing. She encouraged students to experiment with new pursuits in order to determine what they enjoy and succeed at. Aishwarya’s talk was really engaging and motivating, and it prompted many questions from the audience.

Enactus SSBUICET is a non-profit organization consisting of students who are dedicated towards one single objective: raising public awareness of societal issues and assisting neglected and underprivileged communities in standing on their own feet. The team puts a lot of efforts into educating and raising awareness in these communities on various important topics including Financial Literacy, Health & Nutrition and Menstrual Hygiene, conveyed Prof. SeemaKapoor, Faculty advisor of Enactus team. Prof. Kapoor said that financial literacy enables one to better prepare for particular financial obstacles, which, in turn, lowers the likelihood of experiencing personal financial difficulty.

A potter’s village in Maloya serves as the base for Project Dhra of Enactus team. By substituting single-use plastic with clay-based goods, the project seeks to both reduce plastic pollution and resuscitate India’s ailing handicrafts industry, said PreetKanwal, President of Enactus team.

With the aim of making the underprivileged potter community in Maloya more financially sound, a Financial Literacy workshop was organised, which was attended by around 75 members of the potter families, conveyed LeezaPhogat, Finance Head of Enactus team. The eminent speaker for the workshop was Dr. Monika Aggarwal, an Associate professor of Commerce at PGGC 11. She is a Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) empanelled resource person to impart financial literacy. Her informative lecture revolved around how the families can achieve financial freedom and avoid wrong investment decisions. She focused on the importance of saving and budgeting. She made thepotter community aware of many Govt.Schemes includingAtalPensionYojana, PradhanMantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana, SukanyaSamriddhiYojana, PradhanMantriSurakshaBimaYojna and encouraged them to enroll in these schemes. The community people enthusiastically participatedin the workshop and raised manyqueries. The Enactus team helped them in filling the forms for various schemes.

The workshop was a great success all around, as today’s culture places a high value on financial literacy because it is necessary for many aspects of daily life, including saving for retirement, taking out loans, and budgeting, conveyed Ainesh, Vice President.

After the workshop was over, reusable cloth based sanitary pads made under Project Uday of Enactus team and CSR project Amodini of Versatile Group, Ludhiana were also distributed among 35 menstruating women and girls. These ladies were also made aware of the benefits of using these napkins and were asked to give their feedback to the team after usage. These sanitary napkins were sponsored by an alumnus of Dr. SSB University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, Panjab University, conveyed Mridul Sharma, Project head.  Refreshments were also served to the community members after the workshop.

Enactus team has been working with utmost zeal for promoting the products made under Project Dhra, said Preet. From putting up a stall in Institute of Home Economics, Delhi to promoting Dhra in Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College in January 2023, the team has left no stone unturned in helping the community become self-sufficient and financially stable, said Aftab Ali, Content head, Team Enactus.

चण्डीगढ़ 5  फरवरी- हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार राज्य की गौशालाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की ओर कदम उठा रही है। गौवंश के चारे के लिए हर वर्ष 30 करोड़ रुपये का अनुदान दिया जाता है।  
मुख्यमंत्री आज पानीपत जिले के कुराना गांव में स्थित श्री जगत गुरु ब्रह्मनन्द गौशाला के वार्षिकोत्सव के अवसर पर उपस्थित गौभक्तों को संबोधित कर रहे थे। इससे पहले मुख्यमंत्री ने 

 गायको चारा व गुड़ भी खिलाया।
महाग्राम योजना के तहत होगा कुराना गांव का विकास
मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने कुराना गांव के लिए कई मांगों को मंजूर किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने गांव की चार सड़कों को साढ़े पांच मीटर चौड़ा करने की मांग को मौके पर ही मंजूर किया। इसके साथ ही गांव की तरफ से मांग न होने के बावजूद भी गांव की आबादी दस हजार से अधिक होने के चलते गांव कुराना को महाग्राम योजना का लाभ देने की घोषणा की।
श्री जगत गुरु ब्रह्मानंद गौशाला कुराना के लिए मुख्यमंत्री ने 21 लाख रुपए का सहयोग देने की भी घोषणा की। इसके अलावा, सांसद श्री संजय भाटिया व राज्य सभा सांसद श्री कृष्ण लाल पंवार ने 11-11 लाख रुपये तथा सांसद अरविन्द शर्मा ने 2.50 लाख रुपये देने की घोषणा की।
उन्होंने कहा कि गाय को भारतीय सभ्यता एवं संस्कृति तथा परम्पराओं का प्रतीक माना जाता है। धार्मिक ग्रंथों में गाय को माता का दर्जा दिया गया है और उसकी पूजा की जाती है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमें गाय को किसान की आजीविका का साधन बनाना होगा। इसके लिए हमें देशी नस्ल की गायों के संरक्षण और संवर्धन के लिए कारगर कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। राष्ट्रीय गोकुल मिशन के तहत राजकीय पशुधन फार्म, हिसार में गोकुल ग्राम की स्थापना की जा रही है। हरियाणा गौ-सेवा आयोग द्वारा पंचकूला में हरियाणा गोवंश अनुसंधान केन्द्र खोला गया है। इसमें अधिक फास्फेट युक्त आर्गेनिक खाद और वर्मीकम्पोस्ट पर अनुसंधान कार्य चल रहा है।
प्रदेश में 638 गौशाला की जा रही देखरेख
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वर्तमान में प्रदेश में 638 गौशालाओं में गौवंश की देखरेख में सरकारी प्रयासों के साथ-साथ सामाजिक संस्थाएं भी सहयोग कर रही हैं। 

उन्होंने कहा कि जिस भी रजिस्टर्ड गौशाला को अनुदान की जरूरत है वह अपनी मांग सरल पोर्टल पर डाल सकती है। इसके अतिरिक्त, मुख्यमंत्री गौशाला जगमग योजना के अंतर्गत प्रदेश में 330 गौशालाओं में सोलर पावर प्लांट स्थापित किये गये हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गोबर, गौमूत्र आदि से बनने वाले पंचगव्य उत्पादों के विपणन के लिए गौशालाओं के पास स्थित ग्रामीण औद्योगिक पार्कों में विपणन प्लेटफार्म उपलब्ध करवाए जाएंगे।
प्रदेश में गौ-पालन को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए देशी नस्ल की गाय, जैसे कि हरयाणा, साहीवाल, बेलाही, थारपारकर, गिर आदि की 20 पशुओं की डेरी स्थापित करने पर लाभार्थियों को गाय की खरीद हेतु लिये गये बैंक ऋण पर ब्याज अनुदान उपलब्ध करवाया जा रहा है। देशी नस्ल की 3 व 5 गायों की डेरी खोलने वाले पशुपालकों को 50 प्रतिशत अनुदान भी दिया जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि देशी गायों की नस्ल सुधार हेतु राज्य में 37 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से कैथल के क्योडक़, झज्जर के लकडिय़ा, करनाल के उचानी, और महेन्द्रगढ़ में चार गोवंश संवर्धन एवं अनुसंधान केन्द्रों की स्थापना की गई है।
उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने हरियाणा गौवंश संरक्षण एवं गौ संवर्धन अधिनियम-2015 लागू किया है, जिसके तहत गौ हत्या करने वाले व्यक्ति को 10 वर्ष तक कारावास व एक लाख रुपये तक जुर्माने का प्रावधान किया गया है। गौ-तस्करी करने वाले व्यक्ति को 7 वर्ष तक कैद और उपयोग किये जाने वाले वाहन को जब्त करने के अतिरिक्त 70 हजार रुपये तक जुर्माने का प्रावधान किया गया है।
इसके अतिरिक्त गौ हत्या व गौ-तस्करी को रोकने के लिए राज्य स्तरीय विशेष गौ संरक्षण कार्यबल का गठन किया गया है। गौ हत्या के अपराधियों को सजा दिलाने के लिए फरीदाबाद व यमुनानगर में गौमांस टेस्टिंग लैब स्थापित की गई हैं। बेसहारा गोवंश को रखने के लिए गांव नैन (पानीपत) और गांव ढंढूर (हिसार) में दो गौ अभ्यारण्य स्थापित किए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने गौशाला संचालकों से आवाहन किया कि गौशालाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए गाय के गोबर और गोमूत्र से गोमूत्र प्राकृतिक फिनाइल, जैविक खाद, गोबर के बर्तन, प्राकृतिक पेंट, गमला, दीया, धूप, साबुन और अन्य उत्पादों के उत्पादन पर बल दें।
इस अवसर पर सांसद श्री संजय भाटिया, सांसद श्री कृष्ण लाल पंवार, सांसद श्री अरविंद शर्मा, घरौंडा के विधायक श्री हरविन्द्र कल्याण, पानीपत ग्रामीण के विधायक श्री महिपाल ढांडा, पानीपत शहरी विधायक श्री प्रमोद विज, उत्तराखंड के डीजीपी श्री अशोक गर्ग, श्री जगत गुरु ब्रहानन्द गौशाला समिति के प्रधान श्री नरेश गर्ग के अलावा बड़ी संख्या में गौ भक्त उपस्थित थे।

ऊर्जा मंत्री ने बिजली पंचायत में सुनी जनसमस्याएं

चण्डीगढ़, 5  फरवरी – हरियाणा के ऊर्जा मंत्री चौधरी रणजीत सिंह ने कहा है कि बिजली सुधारों  में सरकार ने कारगर कदम उठाए हैं और उपभोक्ताओं की शिकायतों का मौके पर ही समाधान करने के लिए बिजली पंचायतों का आयोजन नियमित रूप से किया जा रहा है। निगम के अधिकारी  बिजली पंचायतों में पूरे हॉम वर्क के साथ आए उपभोक्ताओं की संतुष्टि को ही वे अपना लक्ष्य मानते हैं ।

चौधरी रणजीत सिंह आज हिसार में दक्षिण हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम द्वारा आयोजित बिजली पंचायत में जन-समस्याओं को सुन रहे थे।

  उन्होंने कहा कि बिजली पंचायत में न केवल हिसार बल्कि अन्य कई जिलों से बड़ी संख्या में लोग आ रहे हैं, इससे पता चलता है कि बिजली पंचायत सार्थक सिद्ध हो रही है। ऊर्जा मंत्री ने कहा कि फिलहाल औसतन 70 प्रतिशत जन समस्याओं का निपटारा हो रहा है।

ऊर्जा मंत्री ने अधिकारियों को ढाणियों में लंबित बिजली कनेक्शन शीघ्र मुहैया करवाने व उपभोक्ताओं के कार्य प्राथमिक स्तर पर करने के निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि कार्य मेंं ढिलाई करने वाले अधिकारियों पर ठोस कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

इससे पूर्व उन्होंने दक्षिण हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम के उच्चाधिकारियों की बैठक भी ली, जिसमें लंबित ट्यूबवेल कनेक्शन और निर्माणाधीन 33 केवी सब-स्टेशन के कार्यों की समीक्षा की गई। ऊर्जा मंत्री ने लंबित ट्यूबवेल कनेक्शन शीघ्र जारी करने तथा अन्य निर्माण कार्यों में तेजी लाने की हिदायत दी। उन्हें अवगत करवाया गया कि मंजूर टयूबवेल कनेक्शन इंस्टॉल करने का कार्य 80 प्रतिशत तक पूरा कर लिया गया है।

चंडीगढ़, 5 फरवरी- हरियाणा के राज्यपाल श्री बंडारू दत्तात्रेय ने कहा है की इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन ही हमारे भविष्य के वाहन हैं, उन्हे प्राथमिकता देनी होगी।

       राज्यपाल रविवार को चंडीगढ़ में पीएचडी चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स द्वारा आयोजित किये जा रहे ग्रीन मोबिलिटी इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल एक्सपो के समापन समारोह में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि बोल रहे थे। इसमें हरियाणा, पंजाब, चंडीगढ़ के ई वी निर्माता, खरीददार तथा उद्योगपति भाग ले रहे थे। इस दौरान उन्होंने इलेक्ट्रिक कार, बस, ट्रैक्टर , स्कूटी तथा अन्य वाहनों का निरीक्षण भी किया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज वाहन, प्रत्येक व्यक्ति की आवश्यकता बन चुका है। इसके कारण देश में प्रतिवर्ष लगभग 1.8 करोड़ नए वाहन सडक़ों पर नजर आ रहे हैं, जबकि पूरी दुनिया में साढ़े छ: करोड़ से अधिक नए वाहनों की बिक्री होती है।

       राज्यपाल ने कहा कि इन वाहनों से निकलने वाला धुआं तथा हानिकारक गैसें, पर्यावरण को दूषित करती हैं। इन समस्याओं से निपटने के लिए इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन एक अच्छा विकल्प है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत सरकार वर्ष 2030 तक सरकारी वाहनों को इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों में बदलने की ओर अग्रसर है। केन्द्र सरकार ने इस वर्ष 2023-24 के बजट में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों पर कैस्टम ड्यूटी को 21 प्रतिशत से घटा 13 प्रतिशत कर दिया है। केन्द्र सरकार ने नई स्क्रैपिंग पॉलिसी शुरू की हैं, इसके तहत 15 वर्ष पुरानी गाड़ी को स्क्रैप किया जाएगा, इसमें वाहन मालिकों को प्रोत्साहन देने की व्यवस्था है। देश में इस समय करीब एक करोड़ से अधिक गाड़ियां स्क्रैपिंग योग्य है।

       श्री दत्तात्रेय ने कहा कि हरियाणा सरकार भी इस दिशा में उचित कदम उठा रही है। सरकार ने भी  इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन नीति 2022 को मंजूरी दी है। इसके लिए एक ऑनलाइन पोर्टल भी लॉन्च किया है। हरियाणा सरकार ने सूक्ष्म से मेगा उद्योगों के प्रोत्साहन के लिए 15 लाख से 20 करोड़ रुपए तक की सब्सिडी देने का प्रावधान किया है। इससे पहले राज्यपाल का यहां पहुंचने पर स्वागत करते हुए पीएचडीसीसीआई हरियाणा चैप्टर के चेयर प्रणव गुप्ता ने कहा कि चैंबर द्वारा इस तरह के एक्सपो हरियाणा के अन्य शहरों में भी लगाए जाएंगे।

       भारत सरकार के भारी उद्योग मंत्रालय के संयुक्त सचिव आई.पी.एस. हनीफ कुरैशी ने कहा कि पूरी दुनिया मे इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को लागू किया जा रहा है। भारत सरकार इस दिशा में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रही है। हरियाणा परिवहन विभाग के अतिरिक्त निदेशक प्रदीप अहलावत ने कहा है हरियाणा सरकार ने पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट क्षेत्र में इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल को शामिल करना शुरू कर दिया है। हरियाणा में बहुत जल्द 550 इलेक्ट्रिक बसें खरीदी जा रही हैं।

हरेडा के चेयरमैन स्वतंत्र कुमार सिंघल ने कहा कि अब समय आ गया है जब तेल की आदत को छोडक़र वैकल्पिक साधनों को अपनाने के लिए तेजी से कदम बढ़ाना होगा।
पीएचडीसीसीआई पंजाब चैप्टर के को-चेयर करण गिल्होत्रा ने आये हुए अतिथियों का आभार व्यक्त किया।

MCC recovers 4.11 crores pending arrears on account of service charges/property tax from Govt. institutions & autonomous bodies

*Chandigarh, February 1*:- Aiming at recovering all pending dues of service charges/property tax, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has started acting tough against the non-paying government institutions and autonomous bodies. The MCC has recently recovered 4.11 crores from authorities as service charges/property tax and one month notices have been served to the non-paying institutions who owe approximately Rs. 74.67 crores.

While sharing this development, Sh Anup Gupta, Mayor Chandigarh today said that with regular efforts, the MCC has recovered 4.11 crores on account of service charges/property tax arrears from Hotel Shivalik view, Lake View and the Chef, sector 17 from the department of CITCO. Apart from that Haryana Govt. has paid up tax against buildings of mini secretariat and Haryana Tribunal tax. Employees State Insurance Corporation and Red Cross, Sector 16, Chandigarh respectively.

He said that one month notices have been served to the non-paying institutions and autonomous bodies amounting to Rs. 74.67 lacs including Punjab University, PGI, PEC, Tech. Teachers Training Institute, Sector 26, Kendriya Primary School, Sector 31, Chd. College of Engg. New sector 26, Kendriya Vidyalaya, sector 29, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, sector 25, Regional Provi. Fund commissioner, sector 17, KV Primary school, sector 47, Nirman Sadan sector 33, Railway Station, Daria, IMTECH sector 39, Mini Sectt. Punjab sector 9, CRPF Camp sector 43, HRTC workshop, Ind. area Ph-I, Haryana PWD sector 19, Govt. Press & Prtg. Haryana sector 18, Chief Engineer, UT, Chandigarh respectively.

He said that after the notice period, appropriate legal action will be initiated against the non-paying institutions as per law.

To make India Atmanirbhar Bharat, the office of Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA), Government of India (GoI), has sent a communication to the Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh for the establishment of Science & Technology (S&T) cluster with head-office located at PU campus, Chandigarh. The cluster will cater to the Research & Development (R&D) needs of the industries, state governments, local bodies (municipal corporations, Panchayats, etc.) of the northern region comprising of the states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and Union Territories of J&K and Chandigarh. The seed fund for R&D projects (of national importance) will be provided by the office of PSA. Five thematic areas (Agriculture and food processing, Pharma/medical devices/health-care, Indigenous technology development and optimization, Waste management and wealth from waste, Sustainable mobility and green energy) have been identified under which the seed funding will be provided.

The S&T cluster will function as a not-for-profit Section 8 company. For initial three years the cluster will be financially supported by the office of PSA. Subsequently it has to become self-sufficient. The Panjab University and IIT-Ropar will be the share holders of the company and jointly engage with other stakeholders (Academia, Industry, Government, NGOs, Philanthropists, etc.) of the Northern region to uplift S&T ecosystem of the region.

Professor Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh shared that final touches are being given to the S&T proposal to be submitted to the office of PSA for the establishment and functioning of the S&T cluster.

NSS Units and Medical Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV college for Women, Chandigarh under the guidance of Principal, Dr.NishaBhargava  organised Seven Day/Night NSS Special Camp. During this camp, Enactus SSBUICET organised the 7thworkshop in the “Mytharche” series on Menstrual Health and Hygiene, conveyed Prof. SeemaKapoor. Enactus Faculty Advisor. The workshop was attended by 100 NSS volunteers, 20 Enactus members and 10 members of the Drama Team of Panjab University.

The event commenced with a virtual address by Ms.GeetanjaliBakshi, Coordinator of CSR project Amodini of Versatile Group, Ludhiana. She introduced project Amodini, which was initiated to break the silence around menstrual hygiene for girls around the society and their successful collaboration with the Enactus team. This was followed by an interactive and insightful lecture by Dr.NeelamSodhi (MD, OBS & Gynaecology) on menstrual health and hygiene with the goal of changing society by being open and honest about menstruation and menstrual hygiene. Project Uday of the Enactus Team seeks to gradually eliminate taboos surrounding menstruation. She was received by the crowd with a huge round of applause and everyone was moved by her words. Dr.Sodhi’s talk was followed by Ms.Ravina’s talk from Switzerland, who is doing a project with WHO and spoke on the advantages of using reusable cloth pads.

Time and again various art forms have been used to convey deep messages to society. Keeping this in mind, the drama team of Panjab University headed by Hargovind Singh Randhawa presented a skit to make the event entertaining and interactive. They presented a number of real-world examples that force us to consider our culture and address the silence surrounding a woman’s menstrual cycle. Finally, self- written poetry on menstruation was also performed for the audience’s amusement by an Enactus member.

Dr.NishaBhargava greatly appreciated the efforts made by the Enactus team & Versatile group and highlighted the prominent role played by Enactus in the progress of marginalized communities. She commended the students’ efforts in planning the session to raise awareness regarding the importance of menstruation hygiene and the negative impacts of plastic-based sanitary napkins.

In addition to all of this, a stall was put up to display cloth based sanitary napkins created as part of CSR Project Amodini of Versatile Group and Project Uday of Enactus. Pottery products made under Project Dhra and cloth bags made by Ludhiana based NGO, Ashirwad were also displayed at stall.

The workshop was a great success. Prof. Kapoor acknowledged the support provided by Sh. Amandeep Singh Bhatti, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh for connecting Enactus team with various colleges of Chandigarh for the conduct of workshops on Menstrual Health and Hygiene.
