F&CC meeting of MCC held
Chandigarh, August 24:- A meeting of Finance & Contract Committee, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh was held here today under the chairpersonship of Smt. Raj Bala Malik and attended by Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Smt. Chanderwati Shukla, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Smt. Ravinder Kaur Gujral, Sh. Vinod Aggarwal, Sh. S.K. Jain and Sh. Anil Kumar Garg, Additional Commissioners, Sh. Shailender Singh, Chief Engineer, Sh. Sanjay Arora, SE B&R, Sh. K.P. Singh, SE Horticulture & Electricity and other senior officers of MCC were present during the meeting.
The members of committee discussed various important agenda items in detail and accorded approval for the following:
· The committee accorded approval to licensing out the office space at 3rd floor, new over bridge, sector 17, Chandigarh.
· The F&CC approved the remaining nursery sites at village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh through auction.
· The members accorded approval to sale out of pruned or pollard branches (fuel wood) on ‘as is where is’ basis. The members also asked the concerned officers to dispose off the waste material and items lying in the community centres, stores and offices falling under the jurisdiction of MCC on priority bases till December, 2020 and monthly report regarding the disposal be tabled before the F&CC every month.
· The committee accorded approval to increase the monthly rent of sheds situated at Rehri Market, Sector 23-C, Chandigarh @ Rs. 17000/- plus 18% GST and annual increase of license fee from Rs. 100 to 500 and increase in late fee from Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 per day. The members also decided that the rent and license fee will be reviewed after 3 years.
· The committee also accorded approval to call Expression of Interest for Multi Level Parking at Manimajra near Rana Ki Haveli.
· The members asked the concerned officers to explore possibility to levy entry tax on private water tankers into Chandigarh.
· The members asked the concerned engineers to coordinate with the Chandigarh Administration for proper maintenance and cleaning of Patiala Ki Rao and joint inspection will be conducted with the engineers of Administration to avoid any kind of situation of water accumulation near the houses of Khudda Lahora Colony.
