Dr. Sumita Misra, IAS reviews progress under Haryana Panchayat Sanrakshak Yojna
Panchkula, June 16 – Dr. Sumita Misra, Additional Chief Secretary Haryana Medical Education and Research and Women and Child Development Department, who is also the District Incharge of Panchkula, held a meeting today with Gram Sanrakshaks here.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Soni, Gram Sanrakshaks and other officers from the district administration.
During the meeting, Dr. Sumita Misra urged the officers to visit the villages they have adopted under the Haryana Panchayat Sanrakshak Yojna and monitor the progress of development activities in those villages. She emphasized the importance of working diligently in the villages with the intention to serve the people.
The ACS highlighted the significant role of effective coordination in resolving any issue related to development within the gram panchayats. In response to this, the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Priyanka Soni, informed that the district administration is fully committed to providing the essential support and guidance required to facilitate this coordination.
The primary objective of the scheme is to establish a framework for dynamic and holistic development of gram panchayats with the involvement of senior officers of the state serving as Sanrakshaks. Each Group A officer from various departments, including All India Service or State Service, has been assigned one village in the district under this scheme. Panchkula district, in particular, has 135 villages.
In addition, the ACS also reviewed the activities being carried out under the Haryana Uday programme, which focuses on facilitating public dialogues, providing prompt solutions to community issues through community policing, and conducting outreach programmes.
