पंचकूला, 21 नवंबर- हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने जिले के गांव सुखदर्शनपुर में निर्माणाधीन गऊशाला और डाॅग पोंड का निरीक्षण किया। श्री गुप्ता ने काम पूरा नहीं होने पर नाराजगी जताई, अधिकारियों को सवा महीने का समय और दिया और कहा 30 दिसंबर तक डॉग पोंड और गौशाला बन कर तैयार हो जाना चाहिए मै जनवरी 2021 के पहले सप्ताह में इसका उद्घाटन करुंगा, निर्माणाधीन इस गौशाला में एक हजार गायों को रखने की व्यवस्था की जायेगी। इसी प्रकार डाॅग पोंड में भी एक हजार के करीब कुतों को रखा जा सकेगा। इनमें 850 स्टे डाॅग व 150 पेट डाॅग को इसमें रखा जा सकेगा।
इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहुजा आईएएस, नगर निगम ज्वाइंट कमिशनर संयम गर्ग,ऐक्शन अंकित सिंह सहित अन्य संबंधित अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे।

उन्होंने कहाकि प्रधानमन्त्री मोदी जी का ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ को आगे बढ़ाते हुए कलगीधर मानव सेवा मिशन संस्था ने 14 कन्याओं का विवाह करवाकर महादान किया है। उन्होंने कहाकि आज लोग बेटियों को बोझ मानते हैं और समाज में भू्रण हत्या जैसे महापाप हो रहे हैं वहीं कलगीधर मानव सेवा मिशन ने पिछले कई सालों से सामूहिक विवाह करवाकर एक रिकार्ड कायम किया। आज इन विवाहों में हरियाणा, पंजाब व हिमाचल की जरूरतमन्द और गरीब कन्याये शामिल हैं। इन विवाहों में जरूरत का साजो सामान जैसे डबल बैड, सौफा, अलमारी, फ्रिज, टी.वी. व सिलाई मशीन आदि कन्यादान के रूप में इन कन्याओं को दिया गया है। श्री मित्तल ने आगे कहा कि प्रदेश की अन्य समाज सेवी संस्थायें, एन.जी.ओ. को भी आगे आकर इस तरह के समाजिक कार्यों में बढ-चढ़ कर भाग लेना चाहिए। यह एक बहुत बड़ा पुण्य का काम है। इस कार्य में योगदान करने से बड़ा पुण्य का कार्य कोई नहीं हो सकता।
कलगीधर मानव सेवा मिशन के संस्थापक डाॅ हरनेक सिंह हरि ने बताया कि हर साल हमारी संस्था 14 कन्याओं का विवाह करती है। गुरूद्वारा प्रबन्धक कमेटी का इन विवाहों में योगदान रहा है। कोविड-19 को ध्यान में रखते हुए हमने हर परिवार से पाँच-पाँच लोग बुलाये हैं। सामाजिक दूरी व मास्क का विशेष पालन किया गया है। पिछले कई सालों से हमारी यह संस्था राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर काम कर रही है। हमारी संस्था एक टीम के रूप में मिलजुल कर काम करते हैं और कई सालो से इस तरह के सामूहिक विवाह करते आ रहे हैं।

Professor Raj Kumar Vice Chancellor, Punjab University, Chandigarh along with Professor R K Singla, Dean of University instruction visited the labs of Botany Department and University institute of Pharmacy to oversee the upkeep and on-going research activities in these laboratories.
During his visit, the Vice Chancellor interacted with the research scholars and showed his keen interest in their research projects. He assured them all possible help for the promotion of quality research on the University campus and stated that there will be no dearth of resources and money for the same.
The Department of Mathematics, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in association with the Chandigarh Chapter of the National Academy of Sciences, India and the Society for Promotion of Science of Science & Technology in India (SPSTI)organized a two day online conference,“Life, Work and Legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan”, to commemorate his 100th death anniversary.
Two sessions were organized, on November 20 and 21. They were attended by 100 participants on the zoom and around 5900 reached on Facebook page of SPSTI. Former Vice Chancellors of PU Prof. Arun Grover and Prof K.N. Pathak along with Prof. I. B. S. Passi,well known Mathematician from the Department, graced the occasion.
The session on November 20, 2020 started with welcome address by Prof. Gurmeet Kaur Bakshi, Chairperson, Dept. of Mathematics, PU. Shri DharmVir, President, SPSTI gave a brief introduction of the work and initiatives of SPSTI for promotion of science and technology among young minds.
The first lecture, “the tragedy and triumph of life of the genius”, was delivered by Padma Shri Prof. Dinesh Singh, Chancellor, K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram and former VC, Delhi University. He dwelled on the life of Ramanujan and presented the achievements and challenges he faced in a very lucid manner. He mentioned how inspite of facing many difficulties throughout his life he pursued his grand passion for till his last breath.
Ramanujan was the first to show the British that Indians not only can match them but can also be better. During his short life span, the great Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan (1887 – 1920) independently compiled nearly 3900 results (mostly identities and equations).
The next speaker, Prof. George Andrews, Evan Pugh Professor of Mathematics at Pennsylvania State University, Prof. Andrews deliberated on how Ramanujan may have thought of the mock theta functions. He engaged the participants with a detailed derivation of mock theta functions and also mentioned that there are three more functions which Ramanujan mentioned in his last letter to Prof. G.H. Hardy which are higher order series, not related to each other, and remain mysteries till today. Both the lectures followed with questions which were answered in detail by both the speakers.

The last session of the conference was on November 21 in which Prof. A.K. Agarwal, Dept. of Mathematics, Panjab University, Chandigarh, delivered a very insightful and critical lecture, “The Legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan”. The Mathematician talked on various aspects of his life and research considering his family, his struggle and also his spirituality. His practical approach to the life of Ramanujan made the audience on Zoom and facebook page of SPSTI connected with both the Speaker and the great Ramanujan. The talk ended with a discussion on inclusion of Ramanujan’s work at junior classes as well.

University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences under the aegis of MHRD Institution’s Innovation Council and IPA, Panjab Branch celebrated 59th National Pharmacy Week with the theme Pharmacists: Frontline Health Professionals from 17th -21st
Weeklong celebrations included number of online competitions, events and webinars under the leadership of Prof. O.P Katare (President IPA, Punjab branch), Prof. Bhupinder Singh Bhoop (Vice President IPA, Punjab branch) and Prof. Indu Pal Kaur (Chairperson, UIPS & Secretary, IPA, Punjab branch).
The week began with e-poster competition with 30 entries from the institutes across the nation. Event was held under the vigilance of Dr Anurag Kuhad. Dr Vandita Kakkar and Dr Amita Sarwal organized the quiz and interactive debate competition in collaboration with Dr Eswar Rao from MyBO group on 18th & 19th November respectively. More than 100 candidates from institutes like NIPER Mohali, NIPER Hyderabad, Jamia Hamdard, and Lovely Professional University registered and events observed exemplary performance by all the students.
Webinar on the “Skills, Values and Sustainability in the face of COVID 19 Crises by Prof. Nandita Singh Dean, International Students, Panjab University was held on 20th November. Prof. V. R. Sinha, Dean Research, Panjab University, Chief Guest of the day, emphasized on the role of pharmacists not only as frontline warrior, but also as a fabricator and manufacturer of the vaccines and medicines. He acknowledged the importance of pharmacists in the society as ‘if no pharmacists, then no medicines’; ‘and if no medicines, then no Swasth Bharat’.” Dr Nandita Singh emphasized on the importance of developing social, ethical and emotional capacities in the youth to conquer the future challenges and pandemics.
The week ended with a valedictory function on 21 November, with an expert talk on National Innovation & StartUp Policy (NISP) & Healthcare StartUp Opportunities by Mr Sachin Rajaram Kumbhoje, CEO and & Co-Founder, OpEx Accelerator Pvt. Ltd. He highlighted the need and objectives of the National Innovation and Startup Policy. He encouraged that Pharma Professional Students should choose the path of entrepreneurship by innovating solutions for existing healthcare pain points by exploring the different opportunities in healthcare sector, encapsulating StartUp Ecosystem in India, Current Healthcare Startup Landscape, Sectors and Sub Sectors of Healthcare Innovations. Felicitation of the winners of various competitions was done with certificates and cash prizes during the event.

सिविल सर्जन कृष्ण कुमार ने दिखाई पुरूष नसबंदी जागरूकता ई-रिक्शा को हरी झंडी
पुरूष नसबंदी की जागरूकता बारे 4 दिसबंर तक पुरूष नसबंदी पखवाड़ा मनाया जाएगा। इस दौरान लोगों को पुरूष नसबंदी के प्रति जागरूक किया जाएगा। इसी कड़ी में शनिवार को सिविल सर्जन कृष्ण कुमार ने जागरूकता ई-रिक्शा को हरी झंडी दिखाई । यह ई-रिक्शा शहर के विभिन्न मोहल्लों में व बाजारों में जाकर लोगों को पुरूष नसबंदी बारे जागरूक करेगी।
सिविल सर्जन ने बताया कि पुरुष नसबंदी पखवाड़ा 4 दिसंबर चलाया जाएगा। पखवाड़े के पहले चरण में जहां लोगों को जागरुक किया जाएगा, वहीं दूसरे चरण में 4 दिसंबर तक सिरसा, डबवाली व ऐलनाबाद के नागरिक अस्पताल में पुरुष नसबंदी की जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि नसबंदी में किसी प्रकार चीर फाड़ नहीं की जाएगी। बिना टांके व दर्द के सफलतापूर्वक नसबंदी की जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि नसबंदी के दिन ही छुट्ïटी दे दी जाएगी। नसबंदी की पूरी प्रक्रिया में मात्र 20 मिनट का समय लगेगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि नसबंदी के बदले लाभार्थी को सम्मानजनक प्रोत्साहन राशि 2000 रु हरियाणा सरकार की तरफ से दी जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि कोई भी इच्छुक व्यक्ति नागरिक अस्पताल में उक्त अवधि के दौरान नसबंदी करवा सकता है। उन्होंने बताया कि लोगों को विभिन्न माध्यमों से नसबंदी को लेकर जागरूक किया जा रहा है। इस अवसर पर उप सिविल सर्जन डॉक्टर भूषण, उप सिविल सर्जन डॉक्टर बुधराम, हेल्थ सुपरवाइजर देवेंद्र मोंगा व किशोरावस्था परामर्शदाता कमल कक्कड़ व अन्य स्टाफ के सदस्य उपस्थित थे।

PU VC Releases Book on Domestic Violence Against Women
Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University organized a webinar on ‘National Education Policy 2020 and Neuro – Developmental Disabilities’ which was inaugurated by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor.
PU VC motivated the faculty and the students of the Department to be engaged in innovative activities. He said that the Government unveiled the new Education Policy on July 30th, 2020 with the objective of bringing in wide transformation in higher education sectors and make India a vibrant knowledge society.
On the occasion, Online Remediation Centre was also inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor apart from releasing a book titled “Domestic Violence against Women” authored by Dr. Dazy Zarabi, Chairperson, Department of Community Education and Disability Studies and Prof. Kuldip Kaur, Director, FDR Research based NGO and former Director General of CRRID.
The key speaker of the Webinar, Dr. Renu Malaviya, Head of Department, Department of Education, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi and very renowned educationist in disability field, talked about NEP – 2020 and related to disability sector especially Neuro – Developmental Disabilities meaning (Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities). NEP – 2020 has paved the way for transformational reforms in school and higher education system. The policy recommendations bring a sea change in the Indian education system and make restructuring the curriculum and pedagogy of schools and higher education more skill-oriented. She also promoted the Divyang Friendly institution. Every higher education institution (HEI) should open the Disability Centre or Equal Opportunity Centre so every disabled student will be given rights to education. Dr. Malaviya encouraged the Indian Sign language and e-support for the neuro-developmental students in NEP – 2020.

Mental Well Being Important for Imparting Education
The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the scheme of All India Council for Technical Education and its AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) academy is organizing a five days Faculty Development Programme on “Personal Effectiveness and Stress Management” from 20- 24 November, 2020 .
The Inaugural session in the presence of Chief Guest Prof. Anju Suri, Dean International Students started with her best wishes to participants and explained the importance of elimination of stress and how it will help participants to live a productive life.
Mr. Ramnik Bansal, Senior Faculty Art of Living and Alumni, IIT, Mumbai explained to participants as to how mental wellbeing of a Faculty Member is important for imparting effective education and to develop a strong channel of communication with students. He also explained to the participants about the course and how it will be helpful in dealing with stress in order to boost their productivity.

सिरसा : हरियाणा सरकार, परिवहन विभाग द्वारा जारी अधिसूचना के अनुसार जिन वाहनों को कोरोना काल में 24 मार्च 2020 से 31 मई 2020 तक की अवधि के दौरान पुलिस विभाग द्वारा इंपाउंड किया गया था। उनकी जुर्माना राशि अब कम की गई है। वाहन चालक अपनी उक्त् जुर्माना राशि भरकम संबंधित थाना से अपने वाहनों को छुडवा सकते हैं। अब दुपहिया वाहन का 500 रुपये, कार- जीप का 1000 रुपये जबकि ट्रांसपोर्ट वाहन का 2000 रुपये जुर्माना देना होगा। यह जानकारी देते हुए पुलिस अधीक्षक भूपेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि सरकार द्वारा जारी किए गए आदेशों के संबंध में सभी थाना प्रभारियों को निर्देश दिये गए है। थाना प्रभारी वाहन चालकों को नोटिस के माध्यम से सूचना देकर अवगत करवाएं कि वे उक्त जुर्माना राशि भरकर अपने वाहनों को ले जाएं। पुलिस अधीक्षक ने कहा कि अगर नोटिस देने के बावजूद भी कोई वाहन मालिक, चालक जुर्माना भरकर अपने वाहन को नहीं लेकर जाता है तो आगामी कानूनी कार्रवाई कर उक्त् वाहन को जब्त कर नीलामी करवाई जाएगी।
