पंचकूला, 14 फरवरी- हरियाणा विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने आज पंचकूला जिला के गांव बरवाला के बस स्टेण्ड के पास नवनिर्मित महाराणा प्रताप की प्रतिमा का अनावरण किया। इस प्रतिमा के निर्माण के लिए विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने 19 लाख रूपए की राशि ग्राम पंचायत को अनुदान के रूप दी थी।

हल्दीघाटी के युद्ध में लगभग 20,000 सैनिकों ने अपने प्राण न्यौछावर कर दिए और तब भी, महाराणा प्रताप ने कभी भी मुगलों के आगे नहीं झुके। उन्होंने युवा पीढ़ी से आहवान करते हुए कहा कि युवाओं को महाराणा प्रताप के जीवन से प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए और उन्हें देश की एकता व अखंडता के लिए किसी भी बलिदान के लिए हमेशा तैयार रहना चाहिए।इस अवसर पर, श्री गुप्ता ने गाँव बरवाला के अनुसूचित जाति और पिछड़े वर्ग के शेष 38 लाभार्थियों को 100 वर्गगज के भूखंडों के कब्जे के प्रमाण-पत्र भी सौंपे। ये लाभार्थी सन 1975 से अपने भूखंडों के कब्जे के प्रमाणीकरण की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने यह भी आश्वासन दिया कि गाँव के शेष गरीब परिवारों को भी 100-100 वर्गगज के भूखंडों (प्लाटों) को प्रदान किया जाएगा, बशर्ते कि ग्राम पंचायत बरवाला इस उदेश्य के लिए जमीन उपलब्ध करवाएं।उन्होंने कहा कि जिला पंचकूला के ग्राम बतौड़ में 10 एकड़ जमीन पर एक नर्सिंग कॉलेज स्थापित किया जाएगा। इस कॉलेज की स्थापना से न केवल इस क्षेत्र की छात्राओं को नर्सिंग में पाठ्यक्रम पूरा करने में मदद मिलेगी, बल्कि रोजगार के पर्याप्त अवसर भी सृजित होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि जिस नर्सिंग कॉलेज को गांव बतौड़ में स्थापित करने की मंजूरी दी गई है, उससे काफी हद तक गांव बतौड़ और आसपास के क्षेत्रों के छात्रों को लाभ मिलेगा।  उन्होंने कहा कि बरवाला खण्ड के छात्रों के लिए प्रवेश में न्यूनतम 10 प्रतिशत आरक्षण का प्रावधान किया गया है और इसे 20 प्रतिशत तक बढ़ाने का प्रयास किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्तमान में अस्पतालों में नर्सों की बहुत मांग है और इस कॉलेज से अपना कोर्स पूरा करने के उपरांत इस क्षेत्र की लड़कियों को रोजगार के पर्याप्त अवसर प्राप्त होंगेे।इस अवसर पर, श्री गुप्ता ने यह भी घोषणा की कि गाँव बरवाला में सीवरेज बिछाने का काम अगले 6 से 8 महीनों में शुरू हो जाएगा। उन्होंने यह भी घोषणा की कि गाँव में रामलीला मैदान में मंच के निर्माण पर होने वाला व्यय उनके ऐच्छिक कोष से वहन किया जाएगा। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि इस क्षेत्र के लोगों ने हमेशा उनका समर्थन किया है और इसी के परिणामस्वरूप, उन्हें लगातार दूसरे कार्यकाल के लिए जिला पंचकूला के लोगों की सेवा करने का मौका मिला है। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले छह वर्षों के दौरान जिले में 4000 करोड़ रुपये के विकास कार्य किए गए हैं। इनमें ग्रामीण और शहरी दोनों क्षेत्रों के कार्य शामिल हैं।श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि 212 विकास कार्य इस अवधि के दौरान केवल बरवाला में पूरे हुए हैं, जो जाति और पंथ के विचार से ऊपर उठकर हुए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि म्हारा गाँव-जगमग गाँव योजना के तहत जिला पंचकूला में 24 घंटे बिजली की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित की गई है। इसके अलावा, बरवाला खण्ड में 45 ट्यूबवेल लगाए गए हैं और सड़कों के री-कारपेटिंग पर करोड़ों रुपये खर्च किए गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि बरवाला ब्लॉक में सात नए पुलों का निर्माण किया गया है। जिला पंचकूला के ग्राम खटौली में 15 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से एक पुल का निर्माण किया जा रहा है।इससे पहले, पंचकूला नगर निगम के महापौर श्री कुलभूषण गोयल ने महाराणा प्रताप की प्रतिमा के अनावरण को महत्वपूर्ण क्षण बताया और युवा पीढ़ी से महान योद्धा के जीवन से प्रेरणा लेने का आग्रह किया।गांव बरवाला के सरपंच श्री बलजिंदर गोयल ने हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता को महाराणा प्रताप की प्रतिमा का अनावरण करने और गाँव में विभिन्न विकास कार्यों को करवाने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया। श्री बलजिंदर ने श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता के समक्ष कई मांगें रखीं, जिस पर उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि सभी वास्तविक मांगों पर सहानुभूतिपूर्वक विचार किया जाएगा।इस अवसर पर जिला भाजपा के अध्यक्ष श्री अजय शर्मा, जिला परिषद पंचकूला की अध्यक्ष श्रीमती रितु सिंगला, पंचकुला भाजपा महासचिव श्री वीरेंद्र राणा, जिला परिषद के पूर्व अध्यक्ष श्री रविन्द्र बतौड़, बरवाला के पूर्व मार्किट कमेटी चेयरमैन श्री बलसिंह राणा, मंडल अध्यक्ष श्री गौतम राणा, श्री हेम सिंह राणा बतौड़, खटौली के सरपंच श्री नत्थु राणा, श्री ओम प्रकाश देवीनगर और बरवाला खण्ड में पड़ने वाले गांवों के सभी सरपंच सहित बड़ी संख्या में लोग उपस्थित थे।

National Service Scheme of Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with Department of Computer Science and Applications and Center of Medical Physics organized an E-Collage making competition on the theme of  Environment and Nature. More than 100 students from different colleges of India participated in the event through online mode. Students showed extra ordinary enthusiasm through their creative collages which depicted their awareness about the environment.

World Radio Day was celebrated at School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today. The Community Radio Station of Panjab University, Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz, also completed its ten years, today.

On this special occasion, SCS organised an online event to mark the celebration of the two occasions. This day will be remembered as another special day as Dr. Sumedha Singh, Coordinator, Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz, Vice-president, Community Radio Association of India (North), and Chairperson, School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, signed a virtual MoU with CIET NCERT for broadcasting their education based content. Prof. (Dr.) Amarendra Behera, Joint Director, CIET NCERT, was present during the event as Guest of Honour to execute the virtual MoU. He shared his experience and memories related to radio broadcasting.

Based on the MoU, Dr. Sumedha Singh also announced the launch of a new program – Qitaabee Navaab – that will broadcast the educational content shared by CIET NCERT. Qitaabee Navaab will be a part of an ongoing program, Shiksha Ke Anek Aayaam, being broadcast thrice a day: 11:00 am, 03:00 pm, and 07:00 pm. The content to be broadcast through Qitaabee Navaab is curriculum based (including audio books & audio lessons), as well as enrichment programs (including drama, music, rhyme, radio games, quiz, stories, talks etc. based on educational concepts).

Other guest speakers present during the event were Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Mishra, Dean, Academics, Chitkara International University, and Dr. Pankaj Garg, Programming Head, Radio Chitkara. Prof. Mishra talked about the contribution of radio in uplifting the society. He also re-emphasized on the need of private radio stations airing news content as well as patenting their content. Dr. Garg talked about how the present technology has made radio more accessible to the public. Dr. Suresh Gaur who has worked for many years on this medium shared his experience of working on radio stations. Two people from the participants, Mr. Rajesh and Adv. Mahima Singh who have also been long associated with the world of radio shared their experiences. Adv. Mahima Singh who worked as a child artist on radio remembered those days at All India Radio when the anchors were called didi and children used to have that sense of belongingness with the programs.

Other faculty members of the School of Communication Studies, Prof. (Dr) Archana Singh, Jayanth Narayanpethkar and Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti shared their own experiences of establishing and running Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz housed in the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The event concluded with the cake cutting ceremony in the studios of Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz where most of the Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz and SCS family members were present. Dr. Sumedha Singh presented her special vote of thanks to Mr. Sunil Sharma for his extraordinary contribution to the functioning of Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz.

Panchkula February 13: The Executive and General Body meeting of the Sports Promotion Society Panchkula(Regd) held at PWD Rest House, Panchkula.

The meeting was Chaired by Mr Gian Chand Gupta, Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha and Chairman of the Society and presided over by Mr. D.P.Soni President of the Society. On this occasion the members discussed the proposed activities of the Society for the current Year.

It was decided in the meeting that during the year various activities may be organized. These include Ashwani Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championship from 2nd April to 4th April 2021. Besides, Badminton Association of India be requested to allow Sports Promotion Society (Regd ) Panchkula to organise Ashwani Gupta Memorial Yonex Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Championship ( Age Group 13 years and 15 years ) during the months of October – November 2021 at Panchkula. Similarly, Ashwani Gupta Memorial Kabbadi Tournament be organised during the month of October 2021 and Cyclothon in the month of November—December 2021.

The Chairman further desired that to promote the game of Volleyball in Villages, the Society may provide Volleyball Nets with three Balls in 5 different villages of District Panchkula. Mr. Ashok Sharma Vice President of the Society and Mr. Rishi Pal, member were authorized for the implementation of this Proposal by April end.

He also desired that Cricket Nets be provided in three Government Schools of Panchkula for which Mr. D.P.Singhal, Joint Secretary of the Society , Mr. Raj Singh Dahiya, Technical Adviser and Dr. S.K.Poonia Vice President of the Society have been authorized to implement this proposal by April end.

The Society has already provided 11 Badminton Nets and also laid down Badminton Courts in different Parks in Panchkula and now 10 more Badminton Nets will be provided on similar basis that is 5 Badminton Nets in villages and 5 in the Parks of Panchkula . Mr. Jatinder Mahajan Member and Mr. D.K. Rana Technical Adviser were authorized to implement this proposal by April end.

The meeting was well attended by Mr. Bal Krishan Singla Patron, Mr. Sita Ram Ahuja, Mr. Varinder Garg, Mr. Anil Gupta, Mr. Ashok Sharma Vice Presidents, Mr. Pramod Bindal Financial Adviser, Mr. Raj Singh Dahiya Technical Adviser of the Society also deliberated in the proceedings of the meeting and gave valuable suggestions .

The Chairman was very happy to announce that this time Panchkula has also been selected for hosting different games of ‘Khelo India Event’ to be held during this year which will give impetus to sports activities in District Panchkula.                 उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने कहा कि जल भगवान का एक सुंदर उपहार है, इसके बिना जीवन की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती है, इसलिए जल संरक्षण आज विश्व की सर्वोपरि प्राथमिकताओं में से एक है। जल की बर्बादी को रोकने के लिए हमें अपने घर से ही शुरुआत करनी चाहिए, बस थोड़ी सी समझदारी व सजगता से हम जल का बचाव कर सकते हैं।


                  उन्होंने बताया कि सरकार द्वारा जल जीवन मिशन के माध्यम से न केवल हर घर नल से जल पहुंचाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है बल्कि विभिन्न जागरुकता कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से आमजन को जागरुक करने की मुहिम भी चलाई जा रही है। जल एवं स्वच्छता सहायक संगठन व जन स्वास्थ्य अभियांत्रिकी विभाग द्वारा छात्रों को जल संरक्षण के बारे में प्रेरित करने के लिए जिला के 175 स्कूलों में स्कूल कैबिनेट का आयोजन करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है जिसमें से अबतक 80 स्कूलों में स्कूल कैबिनेट आयोजित करवाई जा चुकी है। स्कूल कैबिनेट के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को जल के महत्व व इसके संरक्षण के बारे में प्रेरित किया जा रहा है। इसके अलावा विद्यार्थियों को पेयजल गुणवत्ता की जांच का प्रशिक्षण भी दिया जा रहा है ताकि भविष्य में वे दूसरों को भी स्वच्छ पानी के महत्व को समझा सके। साथ ही ग्रामीण जल एवं सीवरेज समितियों के सदस्यों द्वारा आमजन को न केवल जल के महत्व के बारे बताया जाता है बल्कि इसके साथ-साथ उन्हें जल के बचाव बारे व जल संरक्षण करने की विस्तार से जानकारी दी जाती है।


                उन्होंने बताया कि विभाग द्वारा जल सरंक्षण की दिशा में बेहतर प्रयास करते हुए गंभीरता से कार्य किया जा रहा है। संबंधित विभाग के अधिकारी व कर्मचारी ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में लोगों को जल के बचाव व संरक्षण के बारे में जानकारी दी रहे हैं ताकि वे जागरुक होकर जल का सही सदुपयोग कर सके और पानी को व्यर्थ में न बहने दे। उन्होंने बताया कि विभागीय कर्मचारी गांव-गांव जाकर जहां कनेक्शन को चेक कर रहे हैं। अब तक जिला के एक लाख 75 हजार घरों के अवैध कनेक्शनों को वैध किया जा चुका है और 2022 तक प्रत्येक घर तक शुद्ध पेयजल नल के माध्यम से पहुंचाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है, इस दिशा में संंबंधित विभाग तेजी से कार्य कर रहा है।

                जल एवं स्वच्छता सहायक संगठन के जिला सलाहकार राकेश सोगलान ने बताया कि जल जीवन मिशन का उद्देश्य हर घर तक नल से जल पहुंचाना है, इसके लिए गंभीरता से कार्य किए जा रहे हैं। इसके साथ-साथ गांव स्तर पर स्कूल कैबिनेट के माध्यम से छात्रों तथा अन्य जागरुकता कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से आमजन को जल बचाव व संरक्षण के बारे में जागरुक किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि जागरुकता कार्यक्रमों में ग्रामीणों के साथ-साथ महिलाओं को भी जल बचाव मुहिम में जोड़ा जा रहा है, क्योंकि महिलाएं इस अभियान में विशेष भूमिका निभा सकती है। महिलाएं जल बचाव की शरुआत अपने घर से करके आस पड़ोस की महिलाओं को भी इस मुहिम में जुडऩे की प्रेरणा दे सकती है।

              सेना भर्ती कार्यालय हिसार द्वारा 20 फरवरी से 13 मार्च 2021 तक हिसार केंट में जिला सिरसा, जींद, फतेहाबाद व हिसार जिलों के उम्मीदवारों के लिए भर्ती का आयोजन किया जाएगा। कार्यालय द्वारा सैनिक (जनरल भर्ती), सैनिक (लिपिक, स्टोर कीपर, तकनीकी) और सैनिक (ट्रेडसमैन) श्रेणी के लिए भर्ती की जाएगी। इस भर्ती में ऑनलाइन पंजीकृत उम्मीदवार भाग ले सकते हैं।


              यह जानकारी देते हुए सेना भर्ती कार्यालय हिसार के सरकारी प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि रैली में भाग लेने के लिए एडमिट कार्ड का होना अनिवार्य है तथा एडमिट कार्ड को मोड़े नहीं। उम्मीदवारों को भर्ती के दौरान अपने साथ 8वीं, 10 वीं व 12वीं कक्षा के मूल प्रमाण पत्र के साथ-साथ हरियाणा निवास प्रमाण पत्र, जाति प्रमाण पत्र, धर्म और अल्पसंख्यक प्रमाण पत्र, एफिडेविट लाने भी जरुरी है। इसके अलावा चरित्र प्रमाण पत्र व अविवाहत प्रमाण पत्र भी अवश्य लाएं तथा ये छह माह से अधिक पुराने नहीं होने चाहिए। एनसीसी धारक अपना एनसीसी का मूल प्रमाण-पत्र व खेल प्रमाण पत्र धारक अपना मूल प्रमाण पत्र के साथ डायरेक्टर डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ यूथ अफेयर्सस हरियाणा द्वारा जारी किया ग्रेडेसन सर्टिफिकेट भी होना आवश्यक है। सैनिक, भूतपूर्व सैनिक, विधवाओं के पुत्र अपना संबंध के मूल प्रमाण पत्र अपने साथ लाए।

              उन्होंने बताया कि सभी उम्मीदवार अपने आधार कार्ड की मूल प्रतिलिपि लेकर आएं। इन सभी दस्तावेजों के मूल प्रमाण पत्र के साथ-साथ प्रत्येक प्रमाण पत्र की दो-दो प्रतिलिपियां होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने बताया कि 20 रंगीन पासपोर्ट फोटो (3.5 सैमी&4.5 सैमी) जो नए खिचवाए गए हो, जिन पर उनके नाम व दिनांक छपे हो। सिक्ख उम्मीदवारों की फोटो पगड़ी / पटका में हो तथा सभी उम्मीदवारों की फोटो कम्प्यूटराइज या आगे की तरफ से सत्यापित न हो। उन्होंने कहा कि भर्ती प्रक्रिया को कम्प्यूटरीकृत किया गया है, उम्मीदवार किसी दलाल या असामाजिक तत्वों के झांसे में न आए। फर्जी दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत करने या गलत जानकारी देने पर सेवा समाप्त कर दी जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि जो दस्तावेज आर्मी वेबसाइट डब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूडब्ल्यू डॉट ज्वाइनइडियनआर्मी डॉट एनआईसी डॉट इन पर जारी की गई नोटिफिकेशन में दिए गए हैं, वे भी लाने अनिवार्य है। उन्होंने बताया कि सभी उम्मीदवार सरकारी अस्पताल, प्रयोगशाला या सरकार द्वारा प्राधिकृत अस्पताल या प्रयोगशाला से कोरोना मुक्त रिपोर्ट साथ लाएं तथा मास्क, दस्ताने तथा हैड सैंनिटाइजर अवश्य लगाएं।

Road Safety Awareness Campaign at Panjab University

Chandigarh February 12, 2021

The Department of NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with NSS Open Unit-UT, Chandigarh organized a Road Safety Campaign on 12th February, 2021at PU Gate No. 2 to create awareness on the importance of wearing Helmets and Seat Belts while driving the vehicles for the safe journey to kickstart the Road Safety Awareness Campaign Month under the theme “Sadak Suraksha” being observed from  January 18 to February 17, 2021.

The drive was inaugurated by the NSS Programme Officers Dr. Sucha Singh, Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Tilak, Dr. Vivek, Dr Anuj, Dr Naveen and Mr. Binesh. More than 30 NSS volunteers participated in the Road Safety Campaign. Volunteers made people (motorists as well as pedestrians and cyclists) more aware of the traffic rules and also persuaded them to follow rules particularly wearing of helmets and seat belts while on the road. Dr. Sucha Singh also gave information about “motor vehicle act and traffic rules” and also said that the best way to keep others and yourself safe is to follow proper traffic rules. Volunteers pledged to make aware others about these traffic rules after the drive.

Prof (Dr) VK Paul, Member NITI Aayog, released the infographic booklet – ‘COVID-19 Prevention- Role of Residential Welfare Association’. Professor Vinod K. Paul is a well-known medical professional and has been a faculty member at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, for over three decades.

Prof (Dr) VK Paul commended the efforts of Dr. Suman Mor, Department of Environment Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Dr. Suneela Garg, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and Dr. Ravindra Khaiwal, Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh for bringing out the booklet on ‘COVID-19 Prevention: Role of Residential Welfare Association’.

Prof Paul mentioned that Residential Welfare Associations play a significant role in restricting the spread of COVID-19. This booklet emphasizes how they can further elaborate on their role in disease prevention, including their role in addressing the stigma and discrimination of COVID-19 patients and corona warriors. He added that Residential Welfare Association could provide counseling and support to COVID-19 affected families and specifically to the vulnerable members.

Prof Paul specifically stressed that Residential Welfare Association have a major role to play to address the issue of vaccine hesitancy, providing the correct information about vaccine & clearing the myths

Dr. Suneela Garg, Director Professor HAG, Maulana Azad Medical College and President-Elect- Indian Association of Public Health and Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine mentioned that gated community are the pillar of societies and they have a crucial role in promoting the COVID appropriate behavior to prevent the spread of diseases.

Dr. Suman Mor said that Residential Welfare Association played a significant role during the covid crisis’s peak by supporting the vulnerable population and now they can help them by providing all necessary support for the COVID vaccine.

Dr. Ravindra Khaiwal mentioned that the infographic booklet provides guidelines in simple pictorial languages about their responsibilities, including dos and don’ts, to restrict the emergence of coronavirus disease.

The authors mentioned that this infographic booklet aimed to guide the RWAs to promote COVID-appropriate behavior as scientists believe that new strain could even be worse and we need to be vigilant. The infographic is developed in partnership with Indian Public Health (IPHA) and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM).
