हरियाणा राज्य विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण और सुभाष मेहला के निर्देश पर जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश.सह.अध्यक्ष जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण पंचकुला में जमीनी स्तर पर अधिकारियों के लिए एक विशेष कानूनी साक्षरता शिविर आयोजित किया गया था। यह सम्मेलन डीसी कार्यालय सेक्टर 1 मै जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण, पंचकुला द्वारा किया गया।

श्री विवेक गोयल, मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट.सह.सचिव, जिला कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण, पंचकुला ने मुफ्त कानूनी सेवाओं के बारे में अधिकारियों को सचेत किया और जल संरक्षण, मध्यस्थता और सुलह, पर्यावरण संरक्षण पशु अधिकार और मुफ्त कानूनी सेवाओं के बारे में सभा को जागरूक किया।

आरु वशिष्ठ, डब्ल्यूसीडीपीओ, महिला और बाल विभाग, पंचकूला ने आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता और आशा कार्यकर्ताओं को बच्चों की देखभाल और सुरक्षा के लिए बच्चों को पहचानने के लिए गतिविधियों को अंजाम देने के लिए जागरूक किया ताकि उक्त बच्चों को एकीकृत बाल विकास सेवा ;प्ब्क्ैद्ध से जोड़ा जा सके। एक भारतीय सरकारी कल्याण कार्यक्रम जो 6 वर्ष से कम उम्र के बच्चों और उनकी माताओं को भोजन, पूर्व.विद्यालय शिक्षा और प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदान करता है। उन्होंने माताओं और बच्चों के लिए पौष्टिक आहार के लिए पोशन अभियान के बारे में भी उन्हें जागरूक किया।

श्री मनबीर राठी, पैनल एडवोकेट ने हरियाणा राज्य विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण की योजनाओ जैसे की यवरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए कानूनी सेवाएं योजना, 2015, नालसा नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग की शिकार महिलाओं के लिए कानूनी सेवाएं, नालसा ट्रैफिकिंग और वाणिज्यिक यौन शोषण की शिकार योजना 2015 और नशीली दवाओं के उन्मूलन के लिए सभा को संबोधित किया। उन्होंने च्व्ब्ैव् अधिनियम के बारे में सभा को भी अवगत कराया।

इसके बाद श्री पियूष मित्तल, पैनल एडवोकेट ने छ।स्ै। एसिड हमलों के शिकार लोगों के लिए कानूनी सेवाएँ योजनाए छ।स्ै। मानसिक रूप से बीमार और विकलांगों के लिए कानूनी सेवाएँ योजनाए 2015 के बारे में सभा को विशेष रूप से अवगत कराया।

यज्ञा दत्त शर्मा, पैनल एडवोकेट ने पीसीपीएनडीटी अधिनियम, घरेलू हिंसा अधिनियम, रखरखाव और महिलाओं से संबंधित कानूनों पर विषय पर सभा को संबोधित किया।

A team of 50 students led by Dr Ashima Pathak and Dr Neetu Thakur from Department of Biotechnology, GGDSD College, Chandigarh, visited the Centre for Nuclear Medicine, Panjab University, Chandigarh for a practical demonstration on handling of radioisotopes and radiation detection Instruments.


        Dr Vijayta D Chadha, Chairperson, Centre for Nuclear Medicine discussed the emerging role of Nuclear Medicine in diagnostics and therapeutics using radioisotopes and also apprised the participants about the ongoing research in the Centre mainly focused on development of radiopharmaceuticals for early detection of cancer. Dr Chadha shared that Nuclear medicine is an emerging area in medicine and is growing at a fast pace in India and there is a need for trained human resource as medical physicists and radiation safety officers for running nuclear medicine departments. She motivated the young students for opting Nuclear Medicine as one of the promising career options for service of mankind. The students were given practical demonstration about the safe practices for the use and handling of radioactivity and operation of radiation detection instruments.

National Pharmacy Teachers Training Programme Begins at PU

A one week faculty training school, on “Hands-on Training and Advancements in Chromatography” from September 23 to 28, 2019 was inaugurated today at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University Campus, for pharma faculty participants across the country under the initiative of UGC Networking Resource Centre (NRC).

A total of 20 participants have been selected for training, hailing from various Colleges/Universities, representing 10 different states of India. The training school started today i.e. September 23, 2019 in
the Golden Jubilee Seminar Hall of Panjab University Campus, with an aim to provide insights and hands-on training on sophisticated chromatographic techniques.

Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, Programme Coordinator of the training school welcomed the participants and briefed them about the accomplishments of UGC-NRC programmes. Professor Anil Kumar, Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, apprised the participants about the achievements of UIPS and infrastructure available at the Institute. Professor Maninder Karan, Course Coordinator, summarized about the course content to the participants and Dr Jai Malik, Joint Course Coordinator conducted the proceedings of the event.

The function was inaugurated by Dr G. N. Singh, Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Ghaziabad, and Drugs Controller General (India), Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDCSO), who was the Chief
Guest and delivered the Key Note Address on “Role of Separation Technologies in Setting Pharmacopoeia Standards.”

Subsequent session started with a lecture on the Fundamentals of Chromatography by the Course Coordinator, Professor Maninder Karan. The post-lunch session covered Hands-on Chromatographic Techniques (TLC, PTLC, Chromatotron) by the Coordinators.

UIPS is the first and the only Pharmacy Institute in the country selected by MHRD for creating UGC Networking Resource Centre to promote and foster research and academics in the field of
Pharmaceutical Sciences by training young pharma trainers, selected across the nation.

प्याज की कीमतें नियंत्रित करेगी सरकार

दिल्ली:

राजधानी दिल्ली में इन दिनों प्याज के दाम 80 रूपये किलो तक पहुंच गए हैं। जिसे देखते हुए सरकार अब इसकी बढ़ती हुई कीमतों पर लगाम लगाने की तैयारी में जुट गई है।

प्याज की कीमते पिछले 15 दिनों मे जिस तरह से बढ़ी हैं उससे आम आदमी को प्याज काटने से ज्यादा खरीदने में आंसू आ रहे हैं।

सरकार प्याज की कालाबाजारी रोकने के लिए व्यापारियों पर जल्द ही शिकंजा कसेगी जिसके तहत प्याज की भंडारण सीमा तय की जाएगी।

सीमा तय होने के बाद कारोबारी तय कोटे से ज्यादा प्याज का भंडारण नहीं कर सकेंगे, और बाजार में प्याज की आपूर्ति बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी और कीमतों पर रोक लगेगी।

मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक अगर जल्द ही प्याज के दाम नीचे नहीं आए तो सरकार ये ऐलान कर सकती है।

जानकारों का मानना है कि मानसून के दौरान प्याज उत्पादक क्षेत्रों में भारी बारिस के कारण आपूर्ति और पैदावार दोनों प्रभावित रहे हैं जिसके चलते प्याज की खुदरा कीमते 70-80 तक पहुंच गई हैं।

उपभोक्ता मंत्रालय के आधिकारिक आकड़ो के अनुसार पिछले सप्ताह दिल्ली में प्याज की खुदरा कीमत 57 रूपये किलो थी जिसमें कि महज 7 दिनों में 20 से 30 रूपये का इजाफा हो गया है।

जूनो तबेई माउंट एवरेस्ट की चोटी पर पहुंचने वाली पहली जापानी महिला थीं, और इस महाद्वीप पर सबसे ऊंची चोटी पर चढ़ने वाली पहली महिला भी थीं।

1939 में जन्मे, जुको ताबेई की परवरिश जापान के फुकुशिमा प्रान्त के एक छोटे से शहर मिहारू में हुई थी। चढ़ाई से उसका प्यार तब शुरू हुआ, जब 10 साल की उम्र में वह माउंट नासू की एक क्लास ट्रिप पर गई।

1969 में दो की माँ के रूप में, उन्होंने जापान के पहले लेडीज़ क्लाइम्बिंग क्लब की स्थापना की जो इस धारणा को धता बताने के लिए था कि महिलाओं को घर के अंदर रहना चाहिए।

1975 में, Junko Tabei माउंट एवरेस्ट पर चढ़ने वाली पहली महिला बनीं। हालाँकि, उसे दुनिया की सबसे ऊँची चोटी पर चढ़ने वाले 36 वें व्यक्ति के रूप में याद किया जाना पसंद है।

MAKA Trophy celebrations at PU

 Panjab University, Chandigarh in continuation to the celebration of MAKA Trophy, today organized a special function to honor the sports promoters who have contributed directly and indirectly for the promotion of University Sports on the occasion of International University Sports day. The chief Guest of the function was Ms.  Karnam Malleswari first Indian Women who got bronze medal in
Olympic Games.

Ms.  Malleswari who is a recipient of Padma Shree, Rajeev Gandhi Khel Ratna Award (highest sports award in the field of sports) and Arjuna Award, in her address emphasised the importance of
University Sports for the promotion of Indian Sports. She appreciated the efforts of PU VC in motivating the Principals, Teachers and Coaches working in the affiliated colleges of Panjab University, Chandigarh for creating sports culture in their respective premsies and promised in providing all kind of support. She remembered fondly about her affiliations with the State of Punjab.

            Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, PU informed about the steps being taken to have Memorandum of Understanding between Universities, Colleges, Sports Department of Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana. He also informed that various foreign Universities have shown keen interest to sign the MoU with PU especially in the field of sports.

                        Prof. Parminder Singh, Director of Sports, informed that PU won this prestigious trophy after a gap of 14 years with their continuous efforts in  collaboration of affiliated colleges of Panjab University. Since the inception of this trophy, PU won the MAKA trophy 14 times. He expressed his sincere gratitude to all the Principals of affiliated colleges, technical and ground support provide by Phy. Edu. personnels of PU and also appreciated the support provided by various National, State Sports Federation and Chandigarh Sports Department in achieving the MAKA Trophy.

            The other dignitaries present during the function included S. Tejdeep Singh Saini, Director, UT Sports Department, Former Vice Chancellor, Panjab University  Prof. R.C Sobti (Padmashree), Prof. K.N Pathak, Former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shankar Ji Jha, Dean University Instructions, Dr. Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examination, Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Dean College Development Council, Prof. Naval Kishore, Prof. Navdeep Goel, PU Fellow, Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Neena Capalash, Dean Student Welfare(W), more than 60 principals and  more than 200 Phy. Intra Department Mediation and Negotiation Competition at PU

The two-day Intra Department Mediation and Negotiation Competition, 2019, commenced at the University Institute of Legal Studies(UILS) Campus, here today. Over 300 students participated in the preliminary round, which was divided into two parts, with fifty teams competing in each round. The rounds were presided over by trained professional mediators from the Mediation Centre of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The propositions for the rounds, drafted by the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Client Counselling (CCL) Board, were well conceived by all the participating teams and opened up a wide ambit for negotiation.


        The Top Sixteen teams that were ranked the highest on the basis of their scores in the preliminary rounds then qualified for the Quarter Finals. This round was also adjudged by trained mediators and advocates of the High Court. The Confidential Information for all the rounds was released fifteen minutes before the rounds began. The Semi Finals will take place on Saturday, in which the Top Eight teams will go head to head and compete for a spot in the coveted finals.
