आज भारत स्वाभिमान एवं पतंजलि योग समिति बरवाला-रायपुर रानी जिला पंचकूला की बैठक का आयोजन कम्युनिटी सेंटर बरवाला में किया गया जिसमें पतंजलि राज्य कार्यकारिणी के  पांचों संगठनों के राज्य प्रभारियों राज्य कार्यकारिणी के सदस्यों  ने भाग लिया तथा यहां की जनता  के साथ  योग शिक्षकों  को संबोधित किया l

आज के प्रदूषित वातावरण में अधिकतर जनसंख्या  बीमारी की तरफ अग्रसर है  और उसमें  योग ही एक ऐसा साधन है  जो उससे छुटकारा दिला सकता है l  इसी के अंतर्गत अधिकारियों के संबोधन में  असिस्टेंट योग टीचर प्रशिक्षण शिविर में भाग लेना। तदोपरांत  अधिक से अधिक योग कक्षाएं चलाना अपने अपने बच्चों को योग के प्रति आकर्षित करना ।सोशल मीडिया का अधिक से अधिक प्रयोग करना, महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु थे l अंत में बरवाला के पदाधिकारियों योग साधकों ने आश्वासन दिया  की दिए गए  निर्देशों का पालन करेंगे और परम पूज्य स्वामी रामदेव जी के सपनों को साकार करने में सहयोग देंगे l

E-Collage making competition at PU

National Service Scheme of Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with Department of Computer Science and Applications and Center of Medical Physics organized an E-Collage making competition on the theme of  Environment and Nature. More than 100 students from different colleges of India participated in the event through online mode. Students showed extra ordinary enthusiasm through their creative collages which depicted their awareness about the environment.

DCSA Chairperson Mrs. Jasleen Kaur Bains appreciated the E-collage event. The coordinator of the event Dr. Anuj Kumar said that such activities are required for the awareness about nature & environment. This will help the young generations to take cautious steps to preserve nature. The NSS Programme officers Dr Vivek, Dr Sucha Singh, Dr Tilak, Dr Naveen, & Dr Gurav also contributed for successful completion of this activity. PU Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz celebrates its 10th Birth Anniversary & World Radio Day

World Radio Day was celebrated at School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today. The Community Radio Station of Panjab University, Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz, also completed its ten years, today.

On this special occasion, SCS organised an online event to mark the celebration of the two occasions. This day will be remembered as another special day as Dr. Sumedha Singh, Coordinator, Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz, Vice-president, Community Radio Association of India (North), and Chairperson, School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, signed a virtual MoU with CIET NCERT for broadcasting their education based content. Prof. (Dr.) Amarendra Behera, Joint Director, CIET NCERT, was present during the event as Guest of Honour to execute the virtual MoU. He shared his experience and memories related to radio broadcasting.

Based on the MoU, Dr. Sumedha Singh also announced the launch of a new program – Qitaabee Navaab – that will broadcast the educational content shared by CIET NCERT. Qitaabee Navaab will be a part of an ongoing program, Shiksha Ke Anek Aayaam, being broadcast thrice a day: 11:00 am, 03:00 pm, and 07:00 pm. The content to be broadcast through Qitaabee Navaab is curriculum based (including audio books & audio lessons), as well as enrichment programs (including drama, music, rhyme, radio games, quiz, stories, talks etc. based on educational concepts).

Other guest speakers present during the event were Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Mishra, Dean, Academics, Chitkara International University, and Dr. Pankaj Garg, Programming Head, Radio Chitkara. Prof. Mishra talked about the contribution of radio in uplifting the society. He also re-emphasized on the need of private radio stations airing news content as well as patenting their content. Dr. Garg talked about how the present technology has made radio more accessible to the public. Dr. Suresh Gaur who has worked for many years on this medium shared his experience of working on radio stations. Two people from the participants, Mr. Rajesh and Adv. Mahima Singh who have also been long associated with the world of radio shared their experiences. Adv. Mahima Singh who worked as a child artist on radio remembered those days at All India Radio when the anchors were called didi and children used to have that sense of belongingness with the programs.

Other faculty members of the School of Communication Studies, Prof. (Dr) Archana Singh, Jayanth Narayanpethkar and Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti shared their own experiences of establishing and running Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz housed in the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The event concluded with the cake cutting ceremony in the studios of Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz where most of the Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz and SCS family members were present. Dr. Sumedha Singh presented her special vote of thanks to Mr. Sunil Sharma for his extraordinary contribution to the functioning of Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz.

Panchkula February 13: The Executive and General Body meeting of the Sports Promotion Society Panchkula(Regd) held at PWD Rest House, Panchkula.

The meeting was Chaired by Mr Gian Chand Gupta, Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha and Chairman of the Society and presided over by Mr. D.P.Soni President of the Society. On this occasion the members discussed the proposed activities of the Society for the current Year.

It was decided in the meeting that during the year various activities may be organized. These include Ashwani Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championship from 2nd April to 4th April 2021. Besides, Badminton Association of India be requested to allow Sports Promotion Society (Regd ) Panchkula to organise Ashwani Gupta Memorial Yonex Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Championship ( Age Group 13 years and 15 years ) during the months of October – November 2021 at Panchkula. Similarly, Ashwani Gupta Memorial Kabbadi Tournament be organised during the month of October 2021 and Cyclothon in the month of November—December 2021.

The Chairman further desired that to promote the game of Volleyball in Villages, the Society may provide Volleyball Nets with three Balls in 5 different villages of District Panchkula. Mr. Ashok Sharma Vice President of the Society and Mr. Rishi Pal, member were authorized for the implementation of this Proposal by April end.

He also desired that Cricket Nets be provided in three Government Schools of Panchkula for which Mr. D.P.Singhal, Joint Secretary of the Society , Mr. Raj Singh Dahiya, Technical Adviser and Dr. S.K.Poonia Vice President of the Society have been authorized to implement this proposal by April end.

The Society has already provided 11 Badminton Nets and also laid down Badminton Courts in different Parks in Panchkula and now 10 more Badminton Nets will be provided on similar basis that is 5 Badminton Nets in villages and 5 in the Parks of Panchkula . Mr. Jatinder Mahajan Member and Mr. D.K. Rana Technical Adviser were authorized to implement this proposal by April end.

The meeting was well attended by Mr. Bal Krishan Singla Patron, Mr. Sita Ram Ahuja, Mr. Varinder Garg, Mr. Anil Gupta, Mr. Ashok Sharma Vice Presidents, Mr. Pramod Bindal Financial Adviser, Mr. Raj Singh Dahiya Technical Adviser of the Society also deliberated in the proceedings of the meeting and gave valuable suggestions .

The Chairman was very happy to announce that this time Panchkula has also been selected for hosting different games of ‘Khelo India Event’ to be held during this year which will give impetus to sports activities in District Panchkula. Road Safety Awareness Campaign at Panjab University

The Department of NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with NSS Open Unit-UT, Chandigarh organized a Road Safety Campaign on 12th February, 2021at PU Gate No. 2 to create awareness on the importance of wearing Helmets and Seat Belts while driving the vehicles for the safe journey to kickstart the Road Safety Awareness Campaign Month under the theme “Sadak Suraksha” being observed from  January 18 to February 17, 2021.

The drive was inaugurated by the NSS Programme Officers Dr. Sucha Singh, Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Tilak, Dr. Vivek, Dr Anuj, Dr Naveen and Mr. Binesh. More than 30 NSS volunteers participated in the Road Safety Campaign. Volunteers made people (motorists as well as pedestrians and cyclists) more aware of the traffic rules and also persuaded them to follow rules particularly wearing of helmets and seat belts while on the road. Dr. Sucha Singh also gave information about “motor vehicle act and traffic rules” and also said that the best way to keep others and yourself safe is to follow proper traffic rules. Volunteers pledged to make aware others about these traffic rules after the drive.

कोविड-19 के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए एक निवारक उपाय के रूप मेंए हरियाणा राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण ने सामाजिक, शैक्षणिक, खेल, मनोरंजन, सांस्कृतिक, धार्मिक और राजनीतिक समारोह सहित अन्य के बारे में मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (एसओपी), दिशानिर्देश जारी किए हैं।

पंचकुला, 12 फरवरी- कोविड-19 के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए एक निवारक उपाय के रूप मेंए हरियाणा राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण ने सामाजिक, शैक्षणिक, खेल, मनोरंजन, सांस्कृतिक, धार्मिक और राजनीतिक समारोह सहित अन्य के बारे में मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (एसओपी), दिशानिर्देश जारी किए हैं।

  आज यहां यह जानकारी देते हुए पंचकूला के उपायुक्त श्री मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि इन कार्यक्रमों के आयोजन के लिए 6 फरवरी 2021 को जारी किए गए एसओपी/दिशानिर्देशों के अनुसार, हॉल की क्षमता का अधिकतम 50 प्रतिशत के साथ अनुमति दी जाएगी अर्थात 1000 व्यक्तियों की हॉल क्षमता में 500 व्यक्तियों की अनुमति होगी। इसी प्रकारए 500 व्यक्तियों की हॉल क्षमता में 250 व्यक्तियों की अनुमति है और 200 व्यक्तियों की हॉल क्षमता में 100 व्यक्तियों की अनुमति हैं।उन्होंने बताया कि चेहरे पर मास्क पहनना, सामाजिक दूरी बनाए रखना, थर्मल स्कैनिंग और हैंड वाश या सैनिटाइजर का उपयोग करना अनिवार्य होगा।


        उन्होंने कहा कि खुले स्थानों में, समारोहों के आयोजन के लिए कोई सीमा या बाध्यता नहीं है।  हालांकि, इस संबंध में लोगों को समायोजित करने के लिए जगह की क्षमता को ध्यान में रखते हुए ही अनुमति दी जाएगी ताकि समय-समय पर गृह मंत्रालय और स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार और हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा जारी किए गए सभी सामाजिक दूरी मानदंड जैसे कि चेहरे पर मास्क पहनना, हैंड वाश या सैनिटाइजर का उपयोग और थर्मल स्कैनिंग आदि के लिए अनिवार्य रूप से पालन किया जाना है।  उन्होंने बताया कि इस संबंध में सामाजिक, शैक्षणिक, खेल, मनोरंजन, सांस्कृतिक, धार्मिक, राजनीतिक कार्यक्रमों और अन्य मण्डलों के आयोजक जिला मजिस्ट्रेट की पूर्व अनुमति लेंगे।

        श्री आहूजा ने बताया कि इसके अलावा, यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भी निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं कि स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा कोविड-19 के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए उत्सवो के दौरान गत 6 फरवरी, 2021 को जारी किए गए एसओपी के सभी प्रावधान, निवारक उपायों का अक्षरशः पालन किया जाना चाहिए।

As a part of series of programs of Punjab Government and Panjab University, Chandigarh  to celebrate the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur ji , students musical program: ‘Manukhta da Rehbar Guru Teg Bahadur ‘ was organised in online as well as offline mode at Ramgarhia Girls College (RGC).

Dr. V.R. Sinha, Dean University Instructions, in his inaugural address praised the efforts of RGC by saying that these kinds of programs are very relieving in such tough times because remembering the great Gurus and their efforts for the welfare of mankind surely soothe every soul.

Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Dean College Development Council was the Chief Guest and he expressed his views by saying that  the history of mankind is the witness of the fact that the martyrdom of the 9th Guru was so great that it shielded not only the humanity  in those times but paved the way for the  foundation of the Sikh Panth by his son Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Ranjodh Singh, President Ramgarhia Educational Council said that the world today needs to seek inspiration from the Sikh religion as this is the treasure house of divine knowledge and Guru Teg Bahadur ji sacrificed his life for the welfare of mankind, this is the greatest of all religions where Gurus themselves gave away their lives to bring peace and to teach the lesson of equality to the people.

Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Director Youth Welfare Department said that 12 colleges participated in this programme and students were highly enthusiastic and the contribution of Ramgarhia Girls College in organizing this programme is remarkable.

Earlier, Principal Dr.Inderjit Kaur welcomed all the guests and said that this is a great effort by Youth Welfare Department  of Panjab University  that provided a platform to these 12 colleges to celebrate the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji in a musical way.

Cleanliness Drive at PU

A cleanliness drive was conducted today in the Children Park near Teachers’ Flats, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

            The wardens, students and employees of Girls Hostel No. 1 and Boys Hostel no. 3 along with NSS volunteers carried out the cleanliness of this park.

            Those who participated included Dr. Anju Goyal, Dr. JS Sehrawat, Dr. Amit Chauhan, Dr. Simran, Dr. Gagandeep Singh, Program Officer NSS from UIET and motivated the students and employees for keeping the University premises clean. The park was cleaned, trees and grass were pruned, public utilities were sanitized and waste was disposed of during the collective efforts of all those participated in the cleanliness drive.
