The Horticulture Division organised a plantation today in the premises of  Community Centre, Sector 25, Campus, Panjab University, Chandigarh. 75 plants of Chorisia Speciosa donated by Adv. Jatin Salwan were planted alongwith plants of ficus.

CA Vikram Nayyar, Registrar was the Chief Guest at the plantation. Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations was the Guest of Honour.

Others present included Sh. Vikram Singh, Chief of University Security, Mrs. Renuka Salwan, Director Public Relations, PU, and other faculty and staff members of Horticulture department.

The Registrar appreciated Sh. Jatin Salwan for consistently donating trees and plants from last 3 years for various locations in the PU Campus. He also appreciated the  efforts of the Horticulture Division and said that such initiatives play a great role in creating awareness about environment among masses and the staff and residents of the university should come forward to support these initiatives.

Anil Thakur, Divisional Engineer (Hort.) said on this occasion that in pursuance of the initiative of Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, the plantation drive of Horticulture Division carried out in monsoon season is in full swing and various departments are participating enthusiastically in this drive.

IGNOU Term End Examinations June, 2021 for the final year of Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes along with their backlogs (if any), Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma, Post Graduate Certificate and Certificate programmes are going to commence from 03rd August, 2021 and will conclude on 09th September, 2021 in the region.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website (http://www.ignou.ac.in/ and appear in the examination.

Dr. Anil Kumar Dimri, Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Center, Chandigarh informed that students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University at the time of admission during the examination. Under Regional Centre Chandigarh 6975 eligible students have been issued Hall Tickets for this examination who will be appearing in different programmes.  IGNOU RC Chandigarh has deputed Observers for monitoring examination activities and monitoring team has also been deputed by IGNOU headquarter, New Delhi for the smooth conduct of Term End Examination in the region. IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh has established 08 Examination Centers for TEE June, 2021 including 02 Exam Centers in Jails at Chandigarh & Ambala for jail inmates.

Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips) have been issued to Final Year/End Semester Masters, Bachelors, PG Diploma, Diploma and PG Certificate, Certificate programmes and who have applied and are found eligible for appearing in the Term-end Examination.  The Hall Tickets are available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website and appear in the examination.

The Examination Centres have been instructed to allow students, with a valid Identity Card, to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips), but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.

During the entire period of examinations the examination centres will implement the social Distancing and other measures as per Government of India guidelines in current scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health and safety of the students.

Students are also required to adhere to the guidelines and maintain the social distancing, wear mask, use of sanitizer and maintain hygiene to ensure safety and health of their own and fellow students.

Students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University/Govt. during the Examination. Mobile phones and any other electronic gadgets are not permitted inside the examination hall.

पंचकूला, 31 जुलाई- हरियाणा विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने आज भगवान परशुराम भवन सेक्टर-12 में आरोग्य भारती संस्था, अतुल्य प्रयास व शैल्बी होस्पिटल्स मौहाली के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आयोजित निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर का उद्घाटन किया।


इस अवसर पर श्री गुप्ता ने डाॅ. सचिन कौशिक द्वारा लिखित पुस्तक ’द प्रश्यूट आॅफ लाॅस्ट यन्त्रा, ए स्पिरिचवल थ्रीलर’ का लोकार्पण भी किया।


श्री गुप्ता ने निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर के आयोजन के लिये जागृत ब्राह्मण सभा को बधाई देते हुये कहा कि ब्राह्मण सभा द्वारा पिछले 15-20 वर्षों से स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर, पौधारोपण, गरीब कन्याओं का विवाह जैसे अनेक समाज सेवा के कार्य करवाये जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस प्रकार के जांच शिविर लोगों की सेहत के लिये अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है और लोगों को विशेषकर गरीब व्यक्तियों को इस शिविर का बहुत लाभ हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि ये हर्ष का विषय है कि सरकार के साथ साथ गैर सरकारी संस्थायें व अन्य सामाजिक संस्थायें भी समाज सेवा के कार्यो में बढ़चढ़कर भाग लें रही है।


उन्होंने कहा कि डाॅ. सचिन कौशिक ने अपनी किताब ’द प्रश्यूट आॅफ लाॅस्ट यन्त्रा, ए स्पिरिचवल थ्रीलर’ में अपने जीवन के अनुभवों को सांझा करते हुये बताया है कि किस प्रकार से मन को शांत रखा जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस पुस्तक में डाॅ. सचिन द्वारा  उनके मरीजों की जीवन गाथा को शामिल किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस प्रकार की पुस्तकें पढ़ने से मन को शांति तो मिलती ही है साथ में अध्यात्मिक शक्ति का विकास होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि मरीजों को ठीक करने में दवाईयों के साथ साथ अध्यात्मिक शक्ति का भी विशेष योगदान है।

जागृत ब्राह्मण सभा की मांग पर श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने नगर निगम महापौर को भगवान परशुराम चैक के नवीनीकरण के लिये शीघ्र ही एस्टीमेट तैयार करने को कहा।


नगर निगम महापौर श्री कुलभूषण गोयल ने निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर का आयोजन करने के लिये जागृत ब्राह्मण समाज को शुभकामनायें देते हुये कहा कि इस जांच शिविर से पंचकूला के नागरिकों को लाभ मिलेगा। उन्होनंे कहा कि सभा द्वारा समय समय पर इस प्रकार के समाज सेवा के कार्य किये जाते है, जिसके लिये सभा बधाई की पात्र है।


 जागृत ब्राह्मण सभा के प्रधान श्री एमपी शर्मा ने मुख्यातिथि श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता का स्वागत करते हुये कहा कि सभा द्वारा समय समय पर स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर के साथ साथ अनेक समाज सेवा के कार्य करवाये जाते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सभा की ओर से हाल ही में 3 रक्तदान शिविर पर तीन स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविरों का आयोजन किया गया हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सभा द्वारा भगवान परशुराम भवन का नवीनीकरण किया गया हैं। भवन में एसी के साथ साथ लिफ्ट की व्यवस्था भी की गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता द्वारा इस भवन के निर्माण के लिये 11 लाख रुपये की राशि का योगदान दिया गया था, जिसके लिये सभा उनका धन्यवाद करती हैं।


निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर में लगभग 150 लोगों ने अपने स्वास्थ्य की जांच करवाई। इस शिविर में शैल्बी होस्पिटल्स के डाक्टरों द्वारा ईसीजी, बीपी, शुगर व यूरोलाॅजी व गायनोक्लाॅजी से संबंधित निशुल्क टेस्ट किये गये।


इस अवसर पर बीजेपी जिला उपाध्यक्ष उमेश सूद, पार्षद जय कौशिक, जागृत ब्राह्मण सभा के सदस्यों सहित अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित थे।

पंचकूला, 30 जुलाई- हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने हर वर्ष 29 जुलाई को नई शिक्षा नीति दिवस के रूप में मनाने की घोषणा की है। इस दिन शिक्षा नीति के लक्ष्य व उद्देश्यों की प्रगति की समीक्षा की जाएगी।


         मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान करके छात्रों को ज्ञान, कौशल और मूल्यों के साथ सशक्त बनाने के राज्य सरकार के विजन के अनुरूप हरियाणा वर्ष 2025 तक राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (एनईपी) के सफल कार्यान्वयन को सुनिश्चित करने की दिशा में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा शिक्षा नीति को लागू करके एक उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करेगा।


         मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि शिक्षकों, शिक्षाविदों और हितधारकों के साथ-साथ बच्चों, जो इस नीति के वास्तविक लाभार्थी हैं, उन्हें जागरूक करना समय की आवश्यकता है।


         उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2025 तक एनईपी के सफल क्रियान्वयन के लिए महिला एवं बाल विकास, स्कूल शिक्षा, उच्चतर शिक्षा और तकनीकी शिक्षा विभागों के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा रूपरेखा तैयार की गई है।

         मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि एनईपी की सिफारिशों पर हरियाणा में पहले से ही कार्य हो रहा है और यहां तक कि हरियाणा द्वारा की गई सिफारिशों को भी एनईपी में शामिल किया गया है।
         उन्होंने कहा कि ज्ञान, कौशल और मूल्यों के साथ छात्रों को उनकी रोजगार क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए सशक्त बनाना राज्य सरकार की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है। नई शिक्षा नीति में उच्चतर शिक्षा में महिलाओं की भागीदारी 50 प्रतिशत होने की बात कही गई है और हरियाणा में अभी उच्चतर शिक्षा में महिलाओं की भागीदारी 32 प्रतिशत है, जिसे जल्द ही 50 प्रतिशत तक लाने के प्रयास किए जाएंगे। इसके लिए राज्य सरकार ने महिला कॉलेज खोले हैं और लड़कियों को कॉलेज तक पहुंचने के लिए परिवहन सुविधाएं भी मुहैया करवा रही है।


         मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि एनईपी के सफल कार्यान्वयन के लिए तैयार किए गए रोडमैप के अनुसार हरियाणा ने पहले से ही अधिक समग्र और बहु-विषयक शिक्षा दृष्टिकोण अपनाया है।
         उन्होंने बताया कि राज्य में बहु-विषयक शिक्षा एवं अनुसंधान विश्वविद्यालय स्थापित करने की योजना पर कार्य किया जा रहा है।

पंचकूला, 29 जुलाई- हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने आज सेक्टर 1 स्थित पीडब्ल्यूडी रेस्ट हाउस में जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण की बैठक की अध्यक्षता की और मानसून के दौरान पंचकूला के कुछ सेक्टरों में जल भराव की समस्या का स्थाई समाधान निकालने के लिए संबंधित अधिकारियों को एक व्यापक योजना तैयार करने के निर्देश दिये।


श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि कल हुई भारी बरसात के कारण पंचकूला के सेक्टर 19, 8, 9 व  10 में कुछ घरों में पानी भरने के कारण लोगों को समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ा।


उन्होंने हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण, नगर निगम व सिंचाई विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे स्वयं प्रभावित सेक्टरों का दौरा करें और जल भराव की समस्या का स्थाई समाधान निकालने के लिए एक योजना तैयार करें ताकि उस पर प्राथमिकता के आधार पर कार्य शुरू करके लोगों को इस समस्या से निजात दिलाई जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों की समस्याओं को हल करना जन प्रतिनिधियों तथा अधिकारियों का कर्तव्य है।


उन्होंने निर्देश दिये कि ऐसे सेक्टर जहां बरसात के दौरान जल भराव की समस्या रहती है वहां हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण व सिंचाई विभाग अपनी-अपनी  वाटर पंपिंग मशीनों को मानसून के दौरान वहीं स्थापित करें। इसके अलावा मशीन ऑपरेटर्स की रोटेशन के हिसाब से डयूटी निर्धारित की जाये ताकि आवश्यक्तानुसार इन मशीनों को प्रयोग में लाया जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि मशीन ऑपरेटर्स का फोन नंबर संबंधित रेजिडेंट वेलफेयर ऐसोसिएशनों को मुहैया करवाया जाये ताकि आवश्यक्ता पड़ने पर लोग इनसे संपर्क कर सकें। उन्होंने नगर निगम के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि जहां-जहां रेन वॉटर हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टम लगाए गए हैं उनकी जांच की जाये और अगर कोई खामी पाई जाती है तो उसे तुरंत दुरूस्त किया जाये।


बैठक में श्री गुप्ता ने पुलिस विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि बरसात के दौरान घग्गर, टांगरी व अन्य नदी-नालों में लोगों के प्रवेश करने पर रोक लगाने के लिए लागू की गई धारा 144 की दृढता से पालना सुनिश्चित करवाई जाये ताकि इस वजह से होने वाले हादसों को रोका जा सके। श्री गुप्ता को अवगत करवाया गया कि जिला में धारा 144 के अंतर्गत नदी व नालों की 20 मीटर परिधि में प्रवेश को प्रतिबंधित किया गया है। इसके अलावा 28 स्थानों की पहचान की गई है जहां संबंधित एसएचओज को गश्त लगाने के आदेश दिये गए हैं।


श्री गुप्ता ने पुलिस विभाग के अधिकारियों को यह भी निर्देश दिये कि वे जिला में दुकानों, रेस्टोरेंटों व हुक्का बारस में  सरकार द्वारा महामारी अलर्ट-सुरक्षित हरियाणा के तहत तय की गई समय सीमा की अनुपालना सुनिश्चित करवाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि कोई भी दुकान, रेस्टोरेंट या हुक्का बार तय सीमा से अधिक समय तक खुला पाया जाता है तो उस क्षेत्र के संबंधित एसएचओ की जिम्मेदारी तय की जाये।

बैठक में बताया गया कि 18 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वर्ग में लक्षित 3.86 लाख जनसंख्या में से 74 प्रतिशत लोगों को कोविड की फस्ट डोज़ व 34 प्रतिशत लोगों को दूसरी डोज़ लगाई जा चुकी है। वैक्सीनेशन के मामले में पंचकूला ट्राईसिटी में अव्वल है। प्रतिदिन औसतन 5 हजार लोगों का कोविड  टीकाकरण किया जा रहा है।

उपायुक्त एवं जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण के अध्यक्ष श्री विनय प्रताप सिंह ने बताया कि मानसून के दौरान जल भराव व पानी की निकासी के संबंध में समस्याओं के निवारण के लिए जिला प्रशासन द्वारा फल्ड कंट्रोल रूम स्थापित किया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि उपरोक्त समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए जिला का कोई भी नागरिक बाढ नियंत्रण कक्ष के फोन नंबर 0172-2562135 पर संपर्क कर सकता है। उन्होंने बताया कि यह फोन नंबर 24 घंटे-सातो दिन कार्य करेगा और इस नंबर पर आने वाली सभी शिकायतों का प्राथमिकता के आधार पर निवारण किया जायेगा।


उन्होंने बताया कि इसके अलावा नगर निगम पंचकूला द्वारा भी एक कंट्रोल रूम स्थापित किया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि जल भराव व पानी की निकासी के संबंध में अपनी समस्याओं के संबंध में जिला का कोई भी नागरिक फोन नंबर 0172-2583695 या 1800-180-2013 पर संपर्क कर सकता है। यह नंबर भी 24 घंटे-सातो दिन कार्य करेगा।


इस अवसर पर नगर निगम आयुक्त धर्मवीर सिंह, पुलिस उपायुक्त मोहित हांडा, एसडीएम पंचकूला रिचा राठी, एसडीएम कालका राकेश संधु व अनेक विभागों के संबंधित अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे।

पंचकूला, 29 जुलाई- उपायुक्त श्री विनय प्रताप सिंह ने आज यहां लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में 15 अगस्त को आयोजित होने वाले स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के आयोजन को लेकर संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारियों के साथ आयोजित बैठक की अध्यक्षता की तथा समारोह के सफल आयोजन को लेकर  उचित दिशा-निर्देश दिये।


बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया कि स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह 2021 का आयोजन सेक्टर 5 स्थित इन्द्रधनुष ऑडिटोरियम के मैदान में किया जायेगा।


उपायुक्त ने निर्देश दिये कि बरसात होने की स्थिति में कार्यक्रम का आयोजन इन्द्रधनुष ऑडिटोरियम में किया जायेगा, जिसके लिए अधिकारी ऑडिटोरियम को स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के लिए तैयार करना सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने कहा कि संबंधित विभाग कोविड की रोकथाम को लेकर सरकार द्वारा समय-समय पर जारी दिश-निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए समारोह की तैयारियां करें। उन्होंने कहा कि समारोह स्थल पर मास्क और सैनीटाईलजर की व्यवस्था भी की जाये।


श्री विनय प्रताप सिंह ने कहा कि स्वतंत्रता समारोह के लिए परेड की रिर्हसल 10 अगस्त व 12 अगस्त को सुबह 8 बजे आरंभ होगी जबकि फाईनल रिर्हसल 13 अगस्त को प्रातः 9 बजे पूर्ण वर्दी में समारोह स्थल पर की जायेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि फाईनल रिर्हसल का निरीक्षण वह स्वयं पुलिस उपायुक्त पंचकूला के साथ करेंगे। इस अवसर पर सभी संबंधित विभागों के कार्यालय प्रमुख उपस्थित रहेंगे। उन्होंने निर्देश दिये कि रिर्हसल में भाग लेने वाले प्रतिभागियों के लिए पीने के पानी का प्रबंध किया जाये। इसके अलावा महिलाओं व पुरूषों के लिए अलग से अस्थाई शौचालयों की व्यवस्था के साथ-साथ उनकी साफ-सफाई सुनिश्चित की जाये।

उन्होंने पुलिस व लोक निर्भाण (भवन व सड़कें) विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे यातायात सुरक्षा को लेकर बैरीगेटिंग करवाना सुनिश्चित करेंगे। उन्होंने पुलिस विभाग को समारोह वाले दिन के साथ-साथ परेड रिर्हसल वाले दिनों में भी सुरक्षा एवं यातायात नियंत्रण का उचित प्रबंध करने के निर्देश भी दिये। उन्होंने सिविल सर्जन कार्यालय के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे एक एंबुलेंस, डॉक्टरों की टीम व दवाइयों को 10, 12 और 13 अगस्त को परेड रिर्हसल के दौरान व 15 अगस्त को समारोह के दौरान उपलब्ध करवाने का उचित प्रबंध करें। उन्होंने यह भी निर्दश दिये कि स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा समारोह स्थल के समीप कोविड वैक्सीनेशन कैंप का आयोजन भी किया जाये। इसके अलावा उन्होंने समारोह स्थल पर दो अग्निशमन गाड़ियों व उचित संख्या में प्रशिक्षित कर्मचारियों की डयूटी लगाने के निर्देश दिये।
उपायुक्त ने सभी संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे स्वयं समारोह स्थल का दौरा करें और वहां समारोह के सफल आयोजन के लिए उचित प्रबंध करना सुनिश्चित करें।


इस अवसर पर अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त मोहम्मद इमरान रजा, एसडीएम रिचा राठी, हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण के संपदा अधिकारी ममता शर्मा, जिला परिषद की मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी निशु सिंघल व अनेक विभागों के संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

Chandigarh, July 29:- Due to urgent repair work at Pump House, Water Works, Sector 32, Chandigarh, a shut down has been allowed by the competent authority on 30.07.2021. A Cleanliness cum Plantation drive was organized by  National Service Scheme in association with Horticulture Division of Panjab University  at Hibiscus Park, Sector 14, Chandigarh. In this cleanliness cum plantation drive many teachers and NSS volunteers participated. Dr. Anuj Kumar, NSS Programme officer said that such events are now the necessity of the society for a healthy environment. He urged the volunteers to ensure proper care of the saplings. Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Tilak and  Dr. Gagandeep Singh also graced the event. Dr. Sucha Singh proposed vote of thanks and motivated students for Tree plantation.

Chandigarh wins grant of 1 crore in India Cycles4Change challenge

Chandigarh, July 28:- Chandigarh has been selected as one of the 11 cities in India to receive a scale-up support of Rs. 1 Crore from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, for the India Cycles4Change Challenge organised under the Smart Cities Mission.

The event was presided by Shri Durga Shankar Mishra, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and was attended by key stakeholders from Central and State Governments including Municipal Commissioners of Cities, and MDs/CEOs of Smart Cities.

Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, MCC-cum-CEO-Chandigarh Smart City Ltd. and Sh. N.P. Sharma, Chief General Manager, CSCL attended the online event and received the award.

While sharing the success story of the challenge, the CEO said that Chandigarh will also receive guidance from National and International experts to further scale up the initiatives.  As per the survey by the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP), the use of cycles has increased by 65% during the lockdown. Hence, the centre had decided to launch this challenge to motivate cities to implement cycling-friendly initiatives. In all, 107 cities had participated in the first round of the challenge launched in June 2020, under which they had to implement and introduce low cost changes to increase cycling infrastructure. Out of these 107, Chandigarh was selected in the top-25 in February 2021.

He said that a presentation was given to the jury members to cement its place in the top 11. The monetary support received will be utilized in scaling-up of cycling-friendly initiatives in the city. The programme will also involve a compilation of shared learnings from the 11 cities, so that each city can study infrastructure models of other cities to analyze ways the same can be implemented in their zones.

The CEO further said that the journey of Chandigarh in the India Cycles4Change Challenge started with community engagement through forms and surveys to know the issues and feedback of people towards cycling in the city. Further, handlebar surveys were done to know the pain-points in cycling from the cyclist’s perspective. On similar lines, cycling events were planned in the city with support from various cyclist groups, RWA’s and city officials to increase awareness about the city’s participation in the challenge.

He said that various parameters on which the cities were judged are: • Forming the C4C Work Team  • Process and rationale behind selection of corridor and neighbourhood locations, Site analysis • Handlebar Survey Process and Findings  • Designing solutions for corridor and neighbourhood through site visits & focused discussions • Testing the design solutions on ground for corridor and neighbourhood through stakeholder & community engagement  • Measuring the Impact of interventions through photo and video documentation • Forming the Scale-Up Cycling Plan and identifying funding sources  • Setting up the Healthy Streets Apex Committee & forming the Healthy Streets Policy • Process of rolling out the Perception Survey and its findings  • On ground engagement through Cycle rallies, Cyclothons, Cycle repair workshops, Cycle training programs, Cycle to work & Cycle rental programs  • Online engagement through Social media campaign to collect cycling stories  • Press coverage of C4C in the city.

He further said that notably, the CSCL has already constructed a dedicated network of 200-km cycle tracks in the city and more are being constructed to connect the periphery and the city’s industrial areas. Chandigarh is also gearing up for the launch of the first phase of the PBS with 1,250 bicycles at 155 docking stations spread across the city.
