पंचकूला, 3 मई- हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने कहा कि भगवान परशुराम का संदेश व शिक्षायें किसी एक वर्ग व जाति विशेष तक सीमित ना होकर पूरे समाज के लिये हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ब्रह्मणों का समाज में एक विशेष दर्जा है। उन्होंने ब्रह्मण समाज को एक पथ प्रदर्शक के रूप में समाज के सभी वर्गों को साथ लेकर देश को आगे बढ़ानें में अपना योगदान देने का आह्वान किया।

श्री गुप्ता आज परशुराम भवन सेक्टर-12ए में भगवान परशुराम जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में मुख्यातिथि के रूप में संबोधित कर रहे थे। इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त श्री महावीर कौशिक, नगर निगम महापौर श्री कुलभूषण गोयल और कालका की पूर्व विधायिका और राष्ट्रीय महिला मोर्चा की कोषाध्यक्ष श्रीमती लतिका शर्मा भी उपस्थित थी।

भगवान परशुराम जन्मोत्सव पर लोगों को बधाई व शुभकामनायें देते हुये श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि भगवान परशुराम को किसी एक समाज से जोड़कर नहीं देखा जा सकता। भगवान परशुराम की शिक्षायें व संदेश आज भी उतने ही सार्थक है और सभी वर्गों के लोगोें का मार्गदर्शन करती आ रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि भगवान परशुराम के जन्मोत्सव को समाज के सभी वर्गों के लोगों को मिलजुल कर बड़े धूमधाम से मनाना चाहिये।  

श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि हमारे देश पर काफी लंबे समय तक मुगलों व अंग्रेजो का शासन रहा है। उन्होंने देश पर प्रभुत्व स्थापित करने के लिये फूट डालो और राज करो की नीति अपनाते हुये समाज को अलग-अलग वर्गों में बांटने का काम किया परंतु आज जब हम हमारे गुरुओं, महापुरूषों और वीर सेनानियों की बदौलत आजादी की खुली हवा में सांस लें रहे है, हम सबको जात-पात, अमीर-गरीब का भेदभाव किये बिना एक सूत्र में बंधकर समाज के लिये मिलजुल कर काम करने की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम सब एक ही परमपिता की संतान है और कोई उंचा नहीं है कोई नीचा नहीं है, सब एक ही है।

विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि ब्रह्मणों का समाज में एक बड़ा  दर्जा है और यह सभी वर्गों के लिये पूजनीय हैं। कोई भी नया कार्य पूजा अर्चना के बिना शुरू नहीं किया जाता। उन्होंने कहा कि आज जिस प्रकार से देश विकास और अध्यात्म की राह पर आगे बढ़ रहा है। वह दिन दूर नहीं जब भारत पुनः विश्व गुरु बनेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह तभी संभव होगा जब, समाज के सभी वर्ग एक होकर देश के लिये काम करेंगे।

इस अवसर पर श्री गुप्ता ने लोगों से आह्वान किया कि वे समाज में फैली कुरीतियों को दूर करने के लिये सरकार व प्रशासन का सहयोग करें। उन्होंने कहा कि जब भी कोई सुधार की बात आती है तो कुछ कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है परंतु यदि हम दृढ निश्चय से आगे बढ़े तो किसी भी चुनौति पर विजय प्राप्त कर सकते है। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने पंचकूला को स्वच्छ, हरा भरा और सुंदर बनाने के लिये सात सरोकार दिये है, जिसमें नशा, प्रदूषण, प्लाॅस्टिक, पाॅलिथीन, स्ट्रे कैटल, स्ट्रे डाॅग और अतिक्रमण मुक्त पंचकूला शामिल है। उन्होंने कहा कि पंचकूला हम सब लोगों का अपना शहर है और वे आशा करते है कि पंचकूलावासी इस अभियान को सफल बनाने के लिये अपना योगदान देंगे ताकि हम पंचकूला को देश के 100 सबसे सुंदर शहरों में शुमार कर सके।
उपायुक्त श्री महावीर कौशिक ने भगवान परशुराम जयंती की शुभकामनायें देते हुये कहा कि महापुरूष किसी विशेष समुदाय के नहीं बल्कि संपूर्ण समाज का मार्गदर्शन करने वाले होते है। उन्होंने कहा कि ब्रह्मण समाज का मार्गदर्शक है और समाज को दिशा दिखाने वाला है। उन्होंने आह्वान किया कि परशुराम जयंती को समाज के हर वर्ग को मिलकर धूमधाम से मनाना चाहिये। उन्होंने कहा कि ब्रह्मण समाज का एक व्यक्ति अपने साथ पांच-पांच अन्य समाज के लोगों को भी जोड़े ताकि भगवान परशुराम की शिक्षाओं का ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रचार प्रसार किया जा सके।
कालका की पूर्व विधायिका और राष्ट्रीय महिला मोर्चा की कोषाध्यक्ष श्रीमती लतिका शर्मा ने कहा कि ब्रह्मण समाज अग्रणीय समाज है और शुरू से ही समाज का पथप्रदर्शक रहा हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ब्रह्मणों के लिये विद्या सर्वोंपरि है परंतु आवश्यकता पड़ने पर यह शस्त्र उठाने से भी पीछे नहीं हटते।
जागृत ब्रह्मण सभा के प्रधान श्री एमपी शर्मा ने सभा की गतिविधियों की विस्तारपूर्वक जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि सभा समय-समय पर रक्तदान शिविर और गरीब लोगों के कल्याण के लिये अनेक गतिविधियों का आयोजन करती रहती है। उन्होंने कहा कि सभा द्वारा भगवान परशुराम भवन में सभी मूलभूत सुविधायें उपलब्ध करवाई गई हैं। उन्होंने कहां कि हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने भी भवन में विभिन्न सुविधाओं के लिये 11 लाख रुपये का अनुदान दिया था, जिसके लिये वे सभा की ओर से उनका धन्यवाद करते है।
इस अवसर पर सेवानिवृत आईएएस राजीव शर्मा, बीजेपी के जिला उपाध्यक्ष उमेश सूद, पूर्व जिला प्रधान दीपक शर्मा, समाज सेवी रमाकांत भारद्वाज, पार्षद जय कौशिक, नरेंद्र लुबाना, सोनू बिडला, रितु गोयल, सोनिया सूद, ओमवती पूनिया, प्रदेश युवा मोर्चा के महामंत्री योगेंद्र शर्मा, स्वामी संपूर्णानंद जी महाराज, जागृत ब्रह्मण सभा के पदाधिकारी और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित थे।

अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त राहुल हुड्डïा ने जिला वासियों से आह्वान करते हुए कहा है कि पानी की एक-एक बूंद बचाना हम सबकी नैतिक जिम्मेदारी है। जल संरक्षण का विषय जहां भविष्य के जीवन से जुड़ा है वहीं जल संसाधनों और प्रभावी जल प्रबंधन के बिना विकास संभव नहीं है।

         अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने कहा कि समय रहते जल संरक्षण को लेकर सचेत होने और पानी बचाने का संकल्प लेना जरूरी है। जल संरक्षण करने और लोगों के घर द्वार पर स्वच्छ पेयजल उपलब्ध करवाने के उद्देश्य से ही हरियाणा सरकार ने जल जीवन मिशन के तहत हर घर जल योजना को भी क्रियान्वित किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि जल प्रबंधन करके हम आने वाली पीढिय़ों के लिए जल संचय करने में अपना योगदान दे सकेंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि जल एक ऐसा दुर्लभ प्राकृतिक संसाधन है, जो सिर्फ कृषि कार्यों के लिए ही नहीं बल्कि पृथ्वी पर जीवन के लिए भी बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। लेकिन चिंतनीय स्थिति यह है कि जल की कमी का संकट न केवल भारत बल्कि दुनिया के लगभग सभी देशों की एक विकट समस्या बन चुका है। उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों को जल का महत्व बताने और कैसे अलग-अलग तरीकों से उसे संरक्षित किया जा सकता है।

Learn the Ropes with Alumni – Lecture Series at UIFT & VD

Lecture series ‘Learn the ropes with alumni’ was held at UIFT &VD with Ms Rantika Thakur. She pursued her graduation and post-graduation from UIFT, Panjab University and started her business when she completed Masters in 2020. Around 50 students and alumni joined her lecture which was organized by Ms Parneet Brar, Guest faculty at UIFT.

Rantika shared her experience when she first started with blogging in her first year of joining  the department. She explained the entire concept of blogging and described how she began blogging for fun and later turned it into a source of income.  She emphasised the importance of taking risks and stepping outside of one’s comfort zone in order to gain more exposure. From her experience, she detailed about how she started her online business “rantikathakurclothing” and what are the requisites and necessary preparations to work it out. She elaborated various material she uses and the types of products she creates. She encouraged students to try new things in order to discover what they enjoy and can excel at. Rantika’s presentation was very interesting and inspiring, and it motivated participants to ask a lot of questions.

One day workshop on Implementation of NEP 2020 was organized by HRDC, Panjab University on 30 April 2022, Saturday from 10:00 am to 01:30 pm for Chairpersons, Coordinators, Director of university Departments and Centres.

The program started with the inaugural address of Prof. Sudhir Saxena, Dean research. He compared and contrasted  Macaulay minutes with  NEP 2020. 

He also highlighted the etymological and epistemological differences between the secular, liberal , and utilitarian western concept of “ education” and “ Dharma- centric “ Indic concept of “ Shiksha” and “ Deeksha”- which characterize the National Education Policy-2020.He shed light on the main features of NEP 2020 and how to implement it in our education system.

Dr. Rakesh Chandra, Dean Academics, Lucknow University addressed the participants online. He told that their University passed ordinance for four year programme for UG, PG, P.hd. and D. Litt. in 2020. He highlighted many challenges to higher education that can be overcome through provision of happy thinking labs, students driven cultural cell, digitized library, setting up of new centers for upcoming areas, departmental you tube channel, PROTSAHAN for researchers, Cells for e-waste management, green audit, etc. Autonomy of teachers is mandate to make a sustainable society with positive values. He informed about the various bodies like academic cells, recruitment cell, Central placement cell, gender sensitization cell, Indian languages and cultural cell, RTI cell , centre to look into the needs of PWDs in addition to the unique collaboration for multidisciplinary education among departments for women study, geology, anthropology, sociology,  molecular genetics study etc. . He also emphasized upon common credit bank for students in context of lateral entries. His inputs were well received by the participants.

Prof. Latika Sharma, elucidated the thrust areas of NEP for curriculum revision and reframing flexible course structures keeping in mind autonomous learners who are searching for competence, confidence ,capacity to link higher education to the application  of knowledge . The components of revised frame work will have core subjects and electives from the discipline. Course outcomes and learning  outcomes for each subject will be mentioned in syllabi. Additionally value added courses, research component, and skill/ experiential learning or internship will be there in every course. She quoted real life examples on how to create value added courses and integrate in the education system. Multi-disciplinary element in atleast one of these is required.

Prof. Renu Vig, DUI PU gave her  inputs for reframing courses aligned with NEP requirements. She stressed on the need to take a call on entry and exit policy  for higher education and also emphasized upon choice based credit systems for the promotion and successfully completion of  undergraduate and post-graduate courses. There is a need to reckon on how to accommodate three year UG and four year UG in the PG programme. Not only this, every department should deliberate and work out the modalities. Modern technology should be included from application and utility point. Start-up culture and setting up incubation centers are necessary for promoting entrepreneurship. There should be at least two skill based courses on entrepreneurship in skill basket courses . The courses should also be available in hybrid mode. Students should be apprised for Swayam  and MOOC courses. Such courses should be included in the skill based basket as to offer flexibility and variety to students and to overcome faculty shortage.

After a small tea break , the session resumed at 11:45 am with Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh, University business school, PU, Chandigarh on planning and designing value added courses for online platform through PowerPoint presentation. He told that students learn better  from MOOC. He gave insights on how to develop MOOC program for Value Added Course ( VAC). Starting from how to select a topic for value added courses he gave detailed explanation on how to find the  niche and narrow it down by converting the subject best taught in a program to value-added courses in an online mode; he also added that he reached out about 40,000 students over a period of 2 to 3 years by designing digital marketing value added courses. Session was very interactive as many participants raised questions and appreciated as it encouraged the participants to design course plan for value-added courses and develop engaging and interactive content for value added courses.

Dr Vishal Sharma spoke about SWAYAM portal ;a platform for multitude of programme and  courses. He provided the official website link to access Swayam i.e.  www.swayam.gov.in.  with the main objective  to take the best teaching learning resources to all. The other objectives of Swayam is to include these courses into the regular curriculum upto 40% in a phases manner. Dr Vishal Sharma also gave suggestion on not to put these courses into forth semester  as result get delayed. The list of courses on the Swayam platform is released  twice which students can join online  as per their convenience.  More than 20 teachers expressed their willingness to join future workshops for creating online courses. Feedback and queries on implementation of NEP were written by the participants.

            Thus, the session was very interactive and thoughtful with many takeaways. Dr. Latika proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was actively attended almost 60 participants. It was a successful workshop organized by HRDC with join efforts by conveners Dr. Anuradha Sharma, Dr. Latika and facilitator Dr. Jayanti Dutta.
