पंचकूला 7 सितम्बर – निर्वाचन विभाग द्वारा जिला की पंचकुला एवं कालका विधानसभा क्षेत्र की फोटोयुक्त मतदाता सूचियों का एक जनवरी 2021 की क्वालिफाईंग तिथि मानकार विशेष पुर्ननिरीक्षण का कार्य नवम्बर माह से शुरू किया जाएगा।
जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि अब तक किए पुर्नरीक्षण कार्य के तहत मतदाता सूचियों का फाईनल प्रकाशन 25 सितम्बर को किया जाएगा है। इसके साथ ही पोलिंग स्टेशन का पुर्नरीक्षण कार्य 30 सितम्बर तक किया जाना है।
उन्होंने बताया कि जिला में एक जनवरी 2021 की क्वालिफाईंग तिथि मानकर पुर्नरीक्षण एवं नए वोट बनाने का कार्य भी शुरू किया जाना है। इसके तहत एक नवम्बर 2020 से जिला की फोटोयुक्त मतदाता सूचियों का पुर्नरीक्षण का कार्य चलेगा जो आगामी 15 नवम्बर 2020 तक किया जाएगा। इस दौरान 1 से 8 तक फोर्मेट तैयार किए जाएगें तथा 16 नवम्बर को स्पलीमेंट एवं इंटीग्रेटिड ड्राफ्ट तैयार किया जाएगा। तैयार हुए ड्राफ्ट के लिए 16 नवम्बर से 15 दिसम्बर 2020 तक दावे एवं आपतियां दर्ज की जाएगी।
जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि पुर्नरीक्षण कार्य के दौरान 16 नवम्बर से 15 दिसम्बर के बीच दावे एवं आपतियों को प्राप्त करने के लिए विशेष शनिवार व रविवार जो कि 28 व, 29 नवम्बर एवं 12 व 13 दिसम्बर को स्पेशल अभियान चलाया जाएगा। इसके लिए मतदान केन्द्र अधिकारियों को आवश्यक निर्देश दिए है कि वे विशेष अभियान के दौरान मतदान केन्द्रों में प्रातः 9 बजे से सांय 5 बजे तक बैठकर दावे एवं आपतियंा दर्ज करने कार्य करें। इस दौरान प्राप्त हुए दावे एवं आपतियों का निपटारा 5 जनवरी 2021 को किया जाएगा ओर फोटोयुक्त मतदाता सूचियों को अंतिम प्रकाश 15 जनवरी 2021 को किया जाएगा।

पंचकूला 7 सितम्बर – स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा जिला के नागरिकों को उनके घर द्वार पर ही कोरोना टैस्टिंग की सुविधाएं मुहैया करवाने के लिए शहरी एवं ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के स्वास्थ्यों केन्द्रों में 21 स्थानों पर नमूने लेने के लिए चिकित्सकों की डयूटी लगाई गई है ताकि प्रभावी मोनिटरिंग के साथ कोरोना रोगियों के बेहतर प्रबंधन परिणाम आ सके।
उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि इन कोरोना टैस्टिंग एवं कलैक्शन स्थानों के लिए नोडल अधिकारी भी नियुक्त किए गए है ताकि समय पर रिपोर्ट एकत्र कर विभाग को भेज सकें। उन्होंने बताया कि सामान्य अस्पताल में डा. अर्चना, पश्चिमी कमान चण्डीमंदिर में डा. कर्नल हरी को इंचार्ज लगाया गया है। इसी प्रकार सीएचसी रायपुररानी में डा. संजीव, पारस होस्पीटल में डा. अमरप्रीत, अल्कमेस्टि के लिए डा. परमजीत, एडीएच कालका के डा. धमेन्द्र, सीडी सैक्टर 7 के लिए डा. रिमझिम, ओजस होस्पीटल के लिए डा. रितु, आॅनक्वेस्ट प्राईवेट लाईब्रेरी के लिए डा. राहुल, अर्बन हैल्थ सैंटर सैक्टर 16 के लिए डा. ललीता को इंचार्ज लगाया गया है।

The Panjab University authorities has decided to conduct the final Semester examinations for Undergraduate/Postgraduate classes in the 3rd week of September, 2020 through online mode, in view of COVID-19 pandemic and interrupted academic activities. The Controller office will be sending examination related material etc. to the Principal/Chief Coordinator/Controller of Examinations of the college through University website/Email.
In this regard, a letter has been issued to the Principals of all the Affiliated Colleges/Departments of PU to supply the active email Ids (atleast two) mobile numbers (having Whatsapp of the college for emergency communication) and name of two senior faculty members of the College / Institute /Department, who will be engaged for the conduct of final semester examinations of Undergraduate/Postgraduate/other exit classes, September, 2020.
It has been decided to appoint Nodal officer to coordinate for the conduct of ONLINE Examinations, the name may be sent alongwith the desire information. The information must reach through email at [email protected] positively by 08/09/2020 as per format given below:-

The Panjab University authorities has allowed to conduct the Viva-voce /presentation etc. of exit classes of undergraduate/Postgraduate/vocational/diploma/etc. upto 6th October 2020, in view of COVID-19 pandemic and interrupted academic activities.
In this regard, a letter has been written to all Principals of all the affiliated colleges/departments of PU to make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of Viva-voce/presentation etc. in ONLINE MODE and inform all the concerned accordingly. The list of examiners who will actually conduct these Viva-Voce/Presentation may be sent to the office of Controller after the termination of the examination. They have been requested to complete the process by 06.10.2020 positively and awards to be submitted online at webportal and scanned copy mailed at email address [email protected].
It is also informed that some Private/USOL/Re-appear candidates will be allocated in few colleges, their cases may be considered and awards to be sent separately.
Panjab University, Chandigarh has today released the date sheet for online examinations to be held in September 2020 for Under Graduate/Post Graduate/Diploma/Vocational etc courses and will be available on PU Website i.e. puchd.ac.in.

Yadav, IAS, Municipal Commissioner-cum-CEO, CSCL today launched 5 Municipal services namely; Legal Case Management, ApniMandi and Day Market, Public Relations, Sports and Cultural Branch and Agenda Management in the presence of Sh. Anil K. Garg, PCS, Additional Commissioner-cum-Additional CEO, CSCL and Sh. N.P. Sharma, Chief General Manager, CSCL in Command & Control Centre, MC Building, Chandigarh.
The addition of these services will add to the ease of management of various municipal works along with the improving of efficiency of the staff. Various stake holders such as municipal officers, related mandi contractors, retailers etc. will be able to coordinate online and in smooth manner, can view the status of applications/requests, which make the system more transparent and efficient.
The Commissioner said that the E-Governance project is being implemented by Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) for approximately 28 municipal services, which upon implementation will facilitate the municipal staff and the citizens of Chandigarh. By implementing the online services citizens will be able to get the services from the comfort from their home such as water and sewage connections, online booking of community centres, submission of the property tax, grievance redressal, Online Building Plan Approval System etc.

उपायुक्त रमेश चंद्र बिढाण ने कहा कि जिला से नशे को जड़मूल से खत्म करने के लिए सभी को मिलकर नशे के खिलाफ लडऩा होगा। नशे के खिलाफ लोगों की एकजुटता ही जिला के नशा मुक्त का आधार बनेगी। जिला में चलाए जा रहे नशा मुक्ति अभियान के साथ जुड़कर प्रशासन का सहयोग करें, ताकि जिला को नशा मुक्त बनाया जा सके।
उन्होंने कहा कि नशा को जिला से खत्म करने के लिए सभी को इस अभियान में सहयोग के लिए आगे आना होगा। नशे के खिलाफ हर वर्ग व समाज के लोगों को एकजुट होकर लडऩा होगा। नशा को खत्म करना व्यक्तिगत नहीं बल्कि सबकी सामूहिक जिम्मेवारी है। इसलिए हर व्यक्ति संकल्प ले कि जिला से नशा को खत्म करने के लिए काम करेंगे, ताकि सिरसा स्वस्थ, समृद्ध व खुशहाल बनें और एक स्वच्छ व स्वस्थ समाज का भी निर्माण हो सके।
उन्होंने कहा कि जिला के कई युवाओं ने नशे की दलदल में फंसकर न केवल स्वयं को बल्कि अपने परिवार को ही बर्बाद कर लिया। कई युवा तो नशे के कारण अपनी जान भी गंवा चुके हैं। नशा व्यक्ति ही नहीं बल्कि उसके परिवार के साथ-साथ पूरे समाज को भी प्रभावित करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला में नशे के प्रभाव का अंदाजा इस बात से सहज रूप से लगाया जा सकता है कि सरकार द्वारा नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के लिए जिन जिलों को चुना है, उनमें सिरसा भी शामिल है। केंद्र सरकार ने नशा प्रभावित 272 जिलों को चिन्हित किया गया है। इन जिलों में नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत विभिन्न गतिविधियां चलाई जा रही है, ताकि लोग नशे को लेकर जागरूक हो सकें। इसी कड़ी में जिला में भी प्रशासन द्वारा सभी के सहयोग के साथ नशा मुक्त अभियान चलाया है। अभियान के साथ जुड़कर जिला को नशा मुक्त बनाने के लिए अपना योगदान दें।
उपायुक्त ने कहा कि नशा मुक्त अभियान में युवा शक्ति अहम भूमिका निभा सकती है। युवा ऊर्जावान होता है, जो रचनात्मक कार्य करने में सक्षम है। नशा के खिलाफ युवा शक्ति एकजुट हो और नशा मुक्त अभियान के सहयोग के लिए आगे आए। उन्होंने कहा युवाओं को यदि सुख व समृद्ध जीवन जीना है, तो नशे से दूर रहना होगा। नशा व्यक्तिगत ही नहीं अपितु सामाजिक व आर्थिक तौर पर भी नुकसान पहुंचाता है। यदि व्यक्ति संकल्प करें तो नशे को छोड़ा जा सकता है। बहुत से लोगों ने ये करके भी दिखाया है। बहुत व्यक्तियों ने न केवल नशे का छोड़ा है बल्कि आज वो दूसरों को भी नशा न करने के लिए प्रेरित कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि कोई पांच व्यक्तियों का नशा छुड़वाने में सहयोग करता है, तो प्रशासन द्वारा विशेष दिवसों के अवसर पर उसे सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

SC/ST Cell of Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a webinar on the theme “Welfare Policies and Schemes for the Growth and Development of SCs and STs in Higher Education: With Special Reference to NEP-2020”.
Co-ordinator-cum-Liaison Officer, SC/ST Cell, Panjab University, Prof. M. C. Sidhu, welcomed the Vice Chancellor, speakers and the participants.
The Chief Guest of the webinar, Prof. Raj Kumar Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, congratulated the faculty on the teacher’s day. Speaking at the inaugural session of the webinar, he emphasized to devise and implement policies to provide better academic support to the students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe Categories with a special reference for the education of the girl students. The Vice chancellor also stressed upon providing access to the resources and allowing participation of students of these categories at all levels. He also advised the organizers to prepare a roadmap for the implementation of NEP-2020 bwith special reference to SC/ST students.
Dr. Raja Sekhar Vundru Principal Secretary to Government of Haryana, enlightened the participants about the “Constitutional Mandate and the Development of Higher Education among SC/ST and Backward Classes”. He briefed the participants about the welfare policies initiated by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar like Post Matric Scholarship and National Overseas Scheme for higher education.
Prof. Rattan Singh, former Director of University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh has discussed the “Appraisal of National Policies on Education Over the Years in the Context of Welfare Schemes for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes: With Special Reference to NEP-2020”. Prof Singh said that there should be analytical studies for the growth of students and effective implementation of welfare policies based on equality and equity.
More than 120 participants have attended the webinar. The participants have discussed their concerns related to the NEP-2020 with both the experts, said Prof. Sidhu. The webinar was hosted by Dr. Naresh Kumar, UIET and discussion part was managed by Dr. Rajni, Assistant Professor, USOL and Organizing Secretary of webinar.
Prof. Supinder Kaur, Department of Laws and Co-convener of webinar presented the theme of the webinar. At the end vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Anil Kumar, UIPS and Co-convener of webinar. A candle lighting ceremony was organised in the memory of Ms. Neerja Bhanot to mark the Commemoration Day at the Neerja Bhanot Hall, Girls Hostel Number 10, sector 25 Chandigarh on 5th September, 2020. The hostel has been named after this young inspiring martyr. Presently, the hostel has been converted into the COVID hospital and is harbouring the COVID positive patients.
Every year on this day, the staff and residents of the hostel, remember Ms. Neerja Bhanot, who laid her life heroically, saving lives of passengers on the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 from terrorists on Sept. 5, 1986.
Warden, Dr Archana Chauhan, hostel staff and the staff of Government Multispeciality Hospital Sector 16 Chandigarh on duty at the Neerja Bhanot Hall paid tributes to Ms. Neerja.
Although a few residents wanted to be part of this memorial day event but were not allowed due to safety concerns. On the occasion, a two-minute silence was observed to pay homage to the martyr. Candles were lit in the hostel compound. Govt guidelines for COVID-19 pandemic were followed during the event.

Panjab University Zoological Society (PUZS) organised a virtual programme on the occasion of Teachers Day celebration. The programme was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal by the faculty and students of the department. The main attraction of the evening were the retired teachers of this department who joined the meeting, to name few among them were senior most professor PK Mittal, Prof. RC Sobti former Vice Chancellor Panjab University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Prof. T. Gill, (Ex-Dean Alumni Association, Panjab University), Prof. CL Duggal (Ex member of senate, PU) etc.
The program started with welcome note by the chairperson. To relive the old memories and make the retired faculty feel homely, a small video clip depicting the old glimpses of the department was played on the occasion. The students expressed their gratitude to the beloved teachers with the theme “My teachers , My Hero’s” through speech, video, presentations and poems.
On the request of senior teachers Prof. VK Walia sang old melodious song which was cheered by the students and teachers. In the end each senior teacher blessed the students and staff with their words of encouragement and wisdom which was followed by chit chat about the various activities going in the department and students expressed how much they are missing their department. Overall, it was very a fun filled and learning experience.

कोरोना के नए केस मिले, प्रभावित क्षेत्रों को बनाया कंटेनमेंट व बफर जोन
उपायुक्त रमेश चंद्र बिढ़ाण ने बताया कि शनिवार को जिला में कोरोना संक्रमण के नए केस मिलने के बाद प्रभावित क्षेत्रों को कंटेनमेंट जोन व साथ लगते क्षेत्र को बफर जोन बनाया गया हैं। संबंधित एसडीएम कंटेनमेंट व बफर जोन के ओवरऑल इंचार्ज रहेंगे, जो सभी प्रबंधों व व्यवस्थाओं की देखरेख करेंगे। उन्होंने निर्देश दिए कि कंटेनमेंट जोन में प्रशासन द्वारा जारी हिदायतों की गंभीरता से पालना सुनिश्चित की जाए। इसके अलावा यह भी ध्यान रखा जाए कि कंटेनमेंट जोन में रह रहे लोगों को किसी प्रकार की परेशानी न हो व सुविधाएं सरलता से उपलब्ध हो।

उपायुक्त रमेश चंद्र बिढ़ाण ने अधिकारियों को कोरोना वायरस के आस-पास के क्षेत्रों में इसके फैलाव को रोकने के लिए संदिग्धों की स्क्रीनिंग, संदिग्ध मामलों का परीक्षण, क्वारंनटाइन, सोशल डिस्टेंस आदि कार्यों के लिए कार्य योजना तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इन क्षेत्रों में सैनिटाइजेशन, खाद्य सामग्री की सुचारु आपूर्ति, बिजली व पानी की सुचारु सप्लाई, कंटेनमेंट जोन में रहने वालो लोगों का डाटा आरोग्य सेतु एप पर अपलोड करने, पशुधन के लिए खाद्य सामग्री उपलब्ध करवाने, स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाने आदि कार्यों के लिए संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारियों को हिदायतें जारी की गई है। इसके अलावा कंटेनमेंट जोन में सभी प्रकार की गतिविधियों व आवागमन पर रोक लगा दी गई है। केवल आपातकालीन सेवाओं के लिए ही बाहर जाया जा सकता है।
