Chandigarh, July 12:- Taking another step in the direction of Swacch Chandigarh Mission, the Municipal Corporation, today launched “Swachhata Ki Paathshala” an awareness campaign in the schools of city here today.


Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh launched the campaign from Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16. 
Aiming to impress upon young minds the importance of sustainable waste management and preservation of the environment, to ensure that the future generation inculcates good practices, to reach out to parents and other adult family members through children so that families can together adopt good practices, the Municipal Corporation started its outreach program today.


While sharing  the concept, the Municipal Commissioner said that all schools of city beautiful including private schools, students from 6th to 12th, shall be addressed during the assembly. This way the Municipal Corporation shall be able to reach out to almost each and every household in Chandigarh, said the Commissioner.Starting from the Govt. Model School Sector 16, where school children were given lessons on waste segregation at source level, ban on single use plastic and home composting etc. During the workshop interactive sessions, real life examples, demonstrations through videos, quizzes and pledges were held. 


The Municipal Corporation decided to implement the same in all other schools of the city beautiful, said the Commissioner. She said that the idea is to catch them young. Children have proven to be very strong carriers of social messages especially ones related to attitudinal change. Hence through children, MCC plan to bring the change, said the Commissioner.


The Commissioner said that there were several hygiene related problems that prevail in slum areas due to lack of garbage segregation and piles of trash that rot in one corner. So spreading awareness on sanitation is the need of the hour and children are the best Swachhata Agents. Also adults get influenced when children are the ones who are teaching them good sanitary habits, she added.


During the campaign, a video presentation has also been held about the different components i.e. segregation of waste at source, ban on single use plastic and home composting besides taking the swachhata pledge. The school children were taught best hygienic practices in a fun and interesting way. They taught to implement sanitation values in their lives before teaching it to others.

In addition to the sessions, a Swachhata Module is being developed which can be shared by every class teacher with students, a home composting challenge has been thrown, students have been asked to check their dustbins before the garbage is handed over to the garbage collector, pledge has been taken to consciously avoid plastic products.

पंचकूला , 12 जुलाई –  केंद्रीय कपड़ा मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल ने हरियाणा के लिए एक बड़ी सौगात देते हुए राष्ट्रीय फैशन प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (NIFT) का उद्घाटन किया। इस असवर पर मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने प्रदेश को राष्ट्रीय महत्व का संस्थान देने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और केन्द्र सरकार का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि पंचकूला में राष्ट्रीय फैशन प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान की स्थापना से ना केवल पंचकूला, बल्कि हरियाणा के इतिहास में एक और नया अध्याय जुड़ गया है। देश का यह 17वां कैम्पस होगा और इसका विकास विश्व स्तर के NIFT कैंपस के रूप में किया जाएगा। इस संस्थान की आधारशिला 29 दिसम्बर, 2016 को तत्कालीन केंद्रीय कपड़ा मंत्री श्रीमती स्मृति ईरानी द्वारा रखी गई थी। इस संस्थान की स्थापना केन्द्रीय कपड़ा मंत्रालय और निफ्ट, दिल्ली के सहयोग से की गई है। 10.45 एकड़ भूमि पर स्थापित यह परियोजना 133.16 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से पूरी की गई है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि संस्थान में दूसरे चरण में जो भी काम होंगे, उन्हें पूरा किया जाएगा। उन्होंने केंद्रीय मंत्री से भी इसमें सहयोग की अपील की। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अगर केंद्रीय मंत्री सहमत हों तो 50:50 रेशो के आधार पर इसे पूरा किया जाएगा। दूसरे चरण में हॉस्टल, थियेटर और ऑडिटेरियम बनाने की योजना है। श्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि निफ्ट की नीति के अनुसार, इस संस्थान में 20 प्रतिशत सीटें हरियाणा अधिवासियों के लिए आरक्षित होंगी। इस संस्थान में फैशन डिजाइन/टैक्सटाइल डिजाइन, अपैरल प्रोडक्शन के क्षेत्रों में चार वर्षीय डिग्री कोर्स और फैशन टैक्नॉलोजी, डिजाइन और फैशन मैनेजमेंट में दो वर्षीय मास्टर डिग्री कोर्स होंगे। इसके अलावा, एक साल और छ: महीने की अवधि के सर्टिफिकेट प्रोग्राम भी होंगे। हालांकि राजकीय बहुतकनीकी संस्थान, पंचकूला में निफ्ट के अस्थायी परिसर में लघु अवधि के पाठ्यक्रम शैक्षणिक सत्र 2019-20 से शुरू कर दिए गए थे। वर्तमान में कुल 259 छात्रों के साथ तीन यू.जी. और दो पी.जी. पाठ्यक्रम संचालित हैं। इसके अलावा, शैक्षणिक सत्र 2022-23 से एक और यू.जी. कोर्स शुरू किया जा रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस संस्थान की स्थापना होने के बाद फैशन डिजाइन के क्षेत्र में कैरियर बनाने के इच्छुक विद्यार्थियों को पढ़ाई के लिए बाहर नहीं जाना पड़ेगा। यहां पर प्रतिष्ठित NIFT की स्थापना होने से प्रदेश में टैक्सटाइल, हैंडलूम और कॉटन इंडस्ट्री को बढ़ावा मिलेगा। NIFT से निकले विद्यार्थियों के लिए प्लेसमेंट की कोई समस्या नहीं है। ऐसे प्रोफेशनल्स की राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कंपनियों में बड़ी मांग है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी ने ‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ का नारा दिया है। उनका ये विजन को कौशल के जरिए ही साकार हो सकता है। इसलिए हमने स्कूल से लेकर विश्वविद्यालय तक की शिक्षा को कौशल के साथ जोड़ा है। स्कूलों में NSQF,कॉलेजों में ‘पहल योजना’, विश्वविद्यालयों में इन्क्यूबेशन सेंटर और तकनीकी संस्थानों में उद्योगों की जरूरत के अनुसार प्रशिक्षण के लिए उद्योगों के साथ एम.ओ.यू. जैसे कारगर कदम उठाये गये हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमारा प्रयास है कि हमारे युवाओं को ऐसी शिक्षा मिले, जो उन्हें रोजगार सक्षम बनाए, चरित्रवान बनाए और उनमें नैतिक गुणों का समावेश करे।

इस मौके पर श्री पीयूष गोयल ने कहा कि उन्हें विश्वास है कि NIFT का यह कैंपस लैंडमार्ग कैंपस के रूप में उभरेगा। यहां से निकलने वाले प्रोफेशनल फैशन की दुनिया में अपना उल्लेखनीय योगदान देंगे। केंद्रीय मंत्री ने मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल की तारीफ करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने जिस प्रकाश से प्रदेश में बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ को प्राथमिकता दी उससे महिलाओं का सशक्तिकरण हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि NIFT के माध्यम से भी बेटियां आगे बढ़ेंगी। उन्होंने भरोसा दिया संस्थान में दूसरे चरण का काम भी जल्द शुरू किया जाएगा।

पंचकूला, 12 जुलाई- चौधरी चरण सिंह हरियाणा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, हिसार ने विभिन्न स्नातक व स्नातकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रमों में दाखिले के लिए आवेदन करने की अंतिम तिथि बढ़ा दी है ।अब उम्मीदवार 15 जुलाई तक आवेदन कर सकेंगे।   इसी प्रकार प्रवेश परीक्षा की तारीख में बदलाव किया गया है।  24 जुलाई को होने वाली प्रवेश परीक्षा अब 31 जुलाई को होगी।

पंचकूला, 12 जुलाई- हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता से मुलाकात के बाद पंचकूला की 27 वर्षीय व्हील चेयर माॅडल सोम्या ठाकुर को अपने सपनों को साकार करने की आस बंधी है। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने सोम्या को मैक्सिको में अक्तूबर माह में होने वाले मिस व्हील चेयर वल्र्ड 2022 कंटैस्ट में भाग लेने के लिए हर संभव सहायता देने का आश्वासन दिया है। इस प्रतियोगिता में मिस व्हील चेयर वल्र्ड इंडिया 2022 के फाईनलिस्ट के रूप में सोम्या का चयन हुआ है।

विधानसभा अध्यक्ष द्वारा सेक्टर 17 स्थित निवास स्थान पर आयोजित किए गए जनता दरबार में पहुंची सोम्या ठाकुर ने श्री गुप्ता से इस वर्ष मैक्सिको मे 23 से 29 अक्तूबर, 2022 तक आयोजित होने वाले मिस व्हील चेयर वल्र्ड 2022 कंटैस्ट में भाग लेने के लिए हवाई यात्रा के लिए सपोंसरशिप, लाॅजिस्टिक, ग्रूमिंग सहित अन्य आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाने का अनुरोध किया था ।

श्री गुप्ता ने सोम्या को मिस व्हील चेयर वल्र्ड इंडिया 2022 के फाईनलिस्ट के रूप में चयनित होने पर बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि सोम्या, मैक्सिको में अक्तूबर माह में होने वाले मिस व्हील चेयर वल्र्ड 2022 कंटैस्ट में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगी जो कि पंचकूला के साथ-साथ हरियाणा के लिए गर्व की बात है। उन्होंने कहा कि बचपन से लोको मोटर डिसेब्लिटी से ग्रस्त सोम्या ने हार नहीं मानी और अपने आत्मविश्वास के बलबूते पर अनेक मुकाम हासिल किए। इस बीमारी की वजह से सोम्या के पैरों के मसल कमजोर पड़ गए हैं, जिसकी वजह से वह अपने शरीर का वज़न नहीं उठा पाती और व्हील चेयर का सहारा लेेने के लिए मजबूर हैं, परंतु इस दिव्यांगता को नजरअंदाज करते हुए सोम्या अपने आत्मविश्वास और दृढ निश्चय के बल पर दूसरी ऐसी अन्य बेटियों के लिए रोल माॅडल बनी हैं जिन्हें सहानुभूति की नहीं बल्कि आगे बढने के लिए एक मौके की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज बहुत से ऐसे उदाहरण हैं जहां हमारी विशेष आवश्यकता वाली बहन-बेटियों ने देश और विदेश में अपनी प्रतिभा का लोहा मनवाया है। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि वे सोम्या को उनके सपनों की उड़ान भरने के लिए हर संभव सहायता करेंगे ताकि वह विश्व में भारत के साथ-साथ हरियाणा और पंचकूला का नाम रोशन कर सके।

विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस पर पोस्टर बनाओ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन

चंडीगढ़। महर्षि दयानंद पब्लिक स्कूल दरिया चंडीगढ़ में विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस पर पोस्टर बनाओ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया।  इस दौरान विद्यार्थियों  ने  विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस  पर अर्थपूर्ण पोस्टर बनाये । उन्होंने बढ़ती जनसंख्या पर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि जनसंख्या में बढ़ोतरी होने के कारण समस्याएं अधिक बड़ी है और प्रकृति के साथ अंधाधुंध खिलवाड़ हो रहा है।          

             विद्यार्थियों ने पोस्टर के माध्यम से लोगों को जागरूक करते हुए बताया कि जनसंख्या के बढ़ने से पर्यावरण में असंतुलन पैदा हुआ है। वातावरण को शुद्ध बनाए रखने के लिए छोटा परिवार का होना जरूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि जनसंख्या बढ़ने से धरती पर खतरा मंडरा रहा है यह मानव, पशुओं और पक्षियों के लिए भी घातक है।  उन्होंने बताया कि जनसंख्या बढ़ने से लगातार पेड़ों की कटाई की जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि जनसंख्या कम होती है तो पर्यावरण भी साफ सुथरा रह सकता है।  इसलिए सुरक्षित और शुद्ध पर्यावरण के लिए जनसंख्या पर नियंत्रण अति आवश्यक है। पर्यावरण को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए अधिक पेड़ पौधे लगाए जाने चाहिए।जूनियर वर्ग में लवप्रीत को प्रथम,लक्ष्मी को द्वितीय, हेमंत को तृतीय और अनीशा व ख़ुशी को सांत्वना पुरस्कार से प्रदान किया गया जबकि सीनियर केटेगरी में  साक्षी, नर्मता और अंकिता को क्रमशः पहला, दूसरा, तीसरा और ख़ुशी व मानसी को सांत्वना पुरस्कार दिया गया।

 स्कूल के प्रिंसिपल डॉ. विनोद कुमार ने कहा कि जनसंख्या वृद्धि के कारण मनुष्य अपने स्वार्थ के वशीभूत होकर पेड़ काटता है।  इससे वह स्वयं और दूसरों के जीवन को खतरे में डाल रहा है। असंतुलित पर्यावरण को संतुलित बनाने के लिए अधिक से अधिक पौधे लगाए जाने अति आवश्यक हैं।

प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल रविवार दोपहर अचानक खंगेसरा स्थित भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता वीरेन्द्र सिंह भाऊ के निवास स्थान पर पहुँचे। वीरेंद्र भाऊ ने मुख्यमंत्री का भव्य स्वागत किया और उन्हें पटका पहनाकर सम्मानित भी किया। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने यंहा वीरेंद्र भाऊ द्वारा लगाया गया आम के बाग का भी दौरा किया औऱ आम का स्वाद चखा। मुख्यमंत्री के साथ काफिले में आये सभी सुरक्षाकर्मियों व अन्य कर्मचारियों ने भी बाग में आम का स्वाद लिया। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल पहले भी एक बार वीरेंद्र भाऊ के बाग में आ चुके है औऱ मीठे आमों का स्वाद ले चुके है। वीरेंद्र सिंह भाऊ पंचकूला जिला परिषद के चैयरमैन भी रह चुके है। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने वीरेंद्र भाऊ के साथ वर्तमान राजनीतिक हालातों को लेकर चर्चा की औऱ भाऊ ने क्षेत्रवासियों की समस्याओं से मुख्यमंत्री को अवगत करवाया। करीब एक घण्टे तक चली इस बातचीत औऱ आम के बाग की मस्ती के बाद मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल अपने गंतव्य की ओर रवाना हो गये।

CHASCON 2022-Logo Design Competition

Entries were invited for the “Competition for Design of Logo” for the CHASCON 2022 by the organizing team in the month of June. A total of 24 entries were received from the students of the Panjab University and affiliated colleges. On July, 8 2022, the organizing team announced that a specially-constituted jury had selected the design created by Ms. Rashmita Subba, a student at Government Home Science College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, as the winning entry in CHASCON 2022 logo design competition. The logo was designed in VIBGYOR pattern having the symbol of Chandigarh. It symbolizes various holistic approaches and amalgamation of various disciplines of science and technology towards growth and development. This logo will be used aa the official logo for the CHASCON and the winner will be awarded during the conference.

पात्र परिवारों के लिए लाभकारी आयुष्मान भारत योजना: उपायुक्त अजय सिंह तोमर

उपायुक्त अजय सिंह तोमर ने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना (आयुष्मान) पात्र परिवारों के लिए जीवनदायिनी साबित हो रही है। योजना के तहत उपचार का सारा खर्च सरकार द्वारा वहन किया जाता है।


उपायुक्त अजय सिंह तोमर ने बताया कि जिन पात्र परिवारों के सदस्यों ने अभी तक आयुष्मान कार्ड नहीं बनवाया है, उसको तत्काल कार्ड बनवाना चाहिए। योजना का लाभ कार्ड धारक को ही मिलता है। यह कार्ड पात्र परिवार के प्रत्येक सदस्य के लिए अलग-अलग बनाया जा रहा है। इस योजना के तहत पात्र परिवार के कार्ड होल्डर सदस्य को प्रति वर्ष पांच लाख रुपये तक सरकारी व सूचीबद्ध प्राइवेट अस्पताल में फ्री इलाज की सुविधा है। जिला के नागरिक अस्पताल व सीएचसी में योजना के तहत फ्री इलाज की सुविधा मुहैया करवाई जा रही है। योजना के लिए जिला में प्राइवेट अस्पताल सूचीबद्ध किए गए हैं। इन सूचीबद्ध प्राइवेट अस्पतालों में भी कार्ड होल्डर को योजना के तहत फ्री इलाज की सुविधा उपलब्ध है।


        उपायुक्त ने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नवंबर 2018 में असहाय परिवारों को बीमारियों का निशुल्क इलाज करने की सुविधा प्रदान करने के लिए यह योजना लागू की थी।  भारत सरकार ने आयुष्मान योजना शुरू कर गरीब एवं असहाय परिवारों को स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में बड़ी राहत प्रदान की है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह योजना पूर्णतरू कैशलेस है, लाभार्थी व्यक्ति केवल अपना आयुष्मान भारत कार्ड दिखाकर ही पैनल पर लिए गए निजी अथवा सरकारी अस्पतालों में अपना मुफ्त में इलाज करवा सकते हैं।

उन्होंने बताया कि आयुष्मान भारत कार्ड बनवाने के लिए पात्र नागरिक किसी भी अटल सेवा केंद्र पर जाकर अपने पहचान पत्र, राशन कार्ड दिखाकर बनवा सकता है। इसके लिए पैनल पर लिए गए निजी अस्पतालों तथा सरकारी अस्पतालों में भी यह कार्ड मुफ्त में बनवा सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि इस योजना की अनूठी विशेषता पोर्टेबिलिटी है यानी चाहे मरीज किसी भी राज्य का हो, वह किसी भी राज्य के पैनल पर लिए गए निजी अथवा सरकारी अस्पताल में अपना मुफ्त इलाज करवा सकता है।

Chandigarh, July 9:- Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh and Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today visited Manimajra area to take stock of basic amenities and ongoing development works alongwith to see the problems of area residents.

The on foot visit of Commissioner was started at 7.00 am in the morning. The Mayor and Commissioner were accompanied by chief engineer, all Superintending Engineers and concerned Executive Engineers, SDEs, Junior Engineers of MCC, office bearers of Resident Welfare Associations and local residents.

During the visit the Commissioner asked the SE B&R and architect for proper planning of slip road near Sheetla Mata Mandir and culvert (near housing board light point), Manimajra. She asked the SE B&R to recarpet the road from housing board light point to fauji dhaba after scrapping.

The Commissioner asked the concerned engineers to install Sector 13 board at entry point of Shivalik Enclave and asked them to send a proposal to Chief Architect, UT for naming Shivalik Enclave as sector 13-A. The house indicators boards in Shivalik Enclave to be re-painted and numbering to be done at the earliest.

She asked to check the flow of water around the Nullah during rainy season and if possible for surfacing of small bridge with concrete/bituminous material besides refilling around the nullah with bio-soil and to develop the area as Green belt. The Commissioner asked the engineers to conduct digital survey of the vacant land near Chandigarh & Haryana boundary and the same to be submitted for further planning.

The Commissioner asked the engineers to install cat eye on speed breaker on road near Nullah in Shivalik Enclave. She asked the officers to write to SSP traffic to deploy traffic staff near entry point to Shivalik Enclave from Chandigarh Kalka Highway.

She further asked for cleaning of channel infront of house No. 53 at Shivalik Enclave and channel linked fencing to be done on area infront of house No. 275 after proper demarcation besides preparing expression of interest for design of Multi level parking on PPP basis for vacant land near Gobindpura, Manimajra.

The Commissioner asked the SE, Public Health, MCC to repair the leakage on road infront of house No. 110 and infront of house No. 80 in Shivalik Enclave. She asked the SE, Horticulture and Electricity to conduct survey of all the trees to identify the dangerous trees in the area. She said that UT electricity department to be written to repair/replace the inclined dangerous electricity pole infront of House No. 83, Shivalik Enclave.

She said that open air gyms be installed in all parks of Shivalik Enclave with paver blocks platforms besides providing high mast lights in all the parks. She asked the Medical Officer of Health to provide dustbins at various locations and maintain proper roaster system for sweeping of streets and malba lifting at shivalik enclave. The Commissioner also asked the concerned officers to remove temporary encroachments near Sheetla Mata Mandir, Manimajra.

In addition to that the Mayor and Commissioner planted saplings of various medicinal trees in park of NAC, Shivalik enclave, Manimajra, Sector 13 besides planting saplings in a park at sector 22, where area councilor Sh. Damanpreet Singh and other area residents also planted various medicinal plants.

Awareness drive on single use plastic cum plantation drive organized by Laxmi Bai Hall, Panjab University

Laxmi Bai Hall(GH2) organised an awareness drive on single use plastic cum plantation drive for the hostel residents and staff. An expert lecture by Mr.Prabhu Nath  Shahi who is Ex. Forest Officer and retired Flight Engineer of IAF  is working for saving the environment through his foundation Jai Madhusudan Jai Shri Krishna Foundation. The objective of the lecture was to make students aware about the drawbacks of single use plastic and to encourage them to imbibe new behaviours that are conducive for building a safe environment for living. The program concluded with oath taken by students to save their environment and distribution of plants among the students. A plantation drive was also conducted where in the students adopted the plants and promised to take care of them. They were also encouraged to handover the responsibility of their plant to new residents whenever they leave the hostel. Mr Shahi encouraged the students regarding active participation in plantation and stop the use of plastics.
