पंचकूला अगस्त 20: राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सकेतड़ी की नौवीं कक्षा की छात्रा पायल  ने  नेशनल कराटे प्रतियोगिता 2024-25 में काँस्य पदक जीत कर प्रदेश का नाम रोशन किया है ।


    पंचकूला  में 16 अगस्त  से 18 अगस्त तक आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता में  राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सकेतड़ी की नौवीं कक्षा की छात्रा पायल  ने हरियाणा का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त कर काँस्य पदक हासिल किया।


  पायल ने ये उपलब्धि हासिल कर ना केवल अपने माता पिता, स्कूल और गांव बल्कि पूरे प्रदेश का नाम रोशन किया है। पिछले महीने पानीपत में आयोजित स्टेट लेवल कराटे प्रतियोगिता में भी पायल ने सिल्वर मैडल हासिल  करके जिला पंचकूला को गौरवन्वित किया था। इस अवसर पर स्कूल प्राचार्या श्रीमती अंशु जैन ने पायल को सम्मानित करते हुए उनके उज्जवल भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनायें दी।

District Election Officer constitutes MCMC and the Social Media Monitoring Cell to oversee media activities

Panchkula, August 20 – Dr. Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, said that Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) and the Social Media Monitoring Cell has been constituted to oversee election related news, advertisements and other promotional material at the district level.


Dr Garg said that various committees are being formed for the smooth conduct of General Elections to Haryana Vidhan Sabha – 2024.


He emphasized that both the MCMC and the Social Media Monitoring Cell are tasked with monitoring election-related news and advertisements and ensuring adherence to the Model Code of Conduct. If any violations are detected through news or information, appropriate action will be taken.


He said that the MCMC will oversee all media activities, including print, electronic, social media, and cable networks. The candidates contesting the election must obtain prior permission from the MCMC before publishing or broadcasting any promotional material. Applications for advertisement through these media must be submitted to the MCMC, which will grant permission in accordance with regulations, he said adding that expenditures on such advertisements will be recorded in the candidate’s expenditure account. He made it clear that unauthorized publication or broadcasting of publicity materials will be classified as paid news.


Additionally, the Social Media Monitoring Cell will closely monitor social media platforms for any violation of the model code of conduct. This cell will take necessary actions against any violation observed on social media, he further added.

*Chandigarh, August 20:-* The Finance and Contract committee of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has accorded approval for various developmental agenda items including cremation of unidentified/unclaimed bodies through LPG crematorium, Sector 25, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.42 lac per year.

The meeting of F&CC was held here today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Kuldeep Kumar, Mayor and attended by Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner and other members of committee namely Smt. Jaswinder Kaur, Sh. Maheshinder Singh Siddhu, Sh. Ram Chander Yadav, Smt. Taruna Mehta and other senior officers of MCC.

The members of committee discussed other various important agenda items in detail and accorded approval for the following:

· Replacement of Gas Genset, Gas Scrubber, Gas Blower & Electrical Panel at 5TPD Bio-Methanation Plant, Industrial Area Ph-I, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 30.87 lacs.

· Construction of RCC pavement between windrow pad and admin block for movement of vehicles and construction of pavement for washing of vehicles at solid waste processing plant, Sector 25 West, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 22.32 lacs

· The Committee discussed the agenda item regarding adjustment of Car Bazaar fees and recommended it to the ensuing meeting of General House for taking final decision.

· Extension in service of hiring of one Chain Dozer for maintenance and upkeep of Dumping Ground at Chandigarh for another one year from 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2025 at an estimated cost of Rs. 33.73 lacs.

· Dismantling of paver blocks, providing and fixing of chequered tiles infront of Showrooms & Booth in Sector 9 & 10 inner market, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 47.91 lacs.

· Special repair of cremation ground of village Sarangpur, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 41.43 lacs.

· Construction of pedestrian path along V-5 road Sector 44 A, B & D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 40.10 lacs.
