The Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with ITBP, Basic Training Centre (BTC), Bhanu, Panchkula, Haryana organized an event of                       Pre-Independence Day celebration on 12th August, 2024. Dr. Tek Chand, DIG, ITBP, BTC honoured Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh by presenting a memento of ITBP.

The ITBP, BTC demonstrated different activities at the Emerging Areas Building, Panjab University, Chandigarh. A motorcycle show presenting the different formations on motorcycles reflected the indomitable courage of our soldiers. Mahila Piping Band donning traditional bag piping attire played the bag pipes and side drums. The Thumping Jazz Band rejuvenated the spirit of patriotism among the audience with their patriotic songs.

Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson appreciated the ITBP, BTC for conducting the various activities in a meticulous manner and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their endeavour.

The event was attended by the Faculty Members of different departments, Deputy Director Sports, Chief of University Security, Guest Faculty, Research Scholars, Office Staff, Students of Centre for Police Administration, NCC Cadets & Students of Ankur School, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

*Chandigarh, August 12:-* Celebrating Inda’s 78th anniversary a massive ‘Tiranga Yatra’ with approximately 1000 members of city level Self Help Groups and officials of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh took place in city beautiful on Monday.

The ‘Tiranga’ rally led by MC Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, was observed to foster Nationalism and love for the country. The initiative was marked as a part of the Government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

The event was set off at the central plaza, sector 17 and other markets of city. The participants marched towards the sector 22 market and the rally terminated with a return march to the MC office building, sector 17, Chandigarh.

While speaking on the occasion, the MC Commissioner said that this sentiment of city level Self Help Groups will inspire the masses in their respective areas of working including sectors, villages and rehabilitation colonies. She urged citizens to share their photos along with the National flag on the official website dedicated to the campaign.

After the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ all the participants assembled in a signature campaign aimed to raise awareness of the Indian National Flag and increase the sense of Patriotism.

*MC Chandigarh’s initiative to promote patriotism and community engagement*

*Chandigarh, August 12:-* Aiming to promote patriotism and community spirit among Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs)  and Market Welfare Associations (MWAs), the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has successfully conducted ‘Tiranga Pratiyogita’ among participating 14 RWAs and 11 MWAs.

The RWAs and MWAs showcased their creativity and enthusiasm with various activities and highlighted the significance of the Tiranga and the importance of National pride. Young kids at Sector 51 participated in a colorful programme, dressed up as Freedom fighters, singing National songs and reciting slogans and poems. Similarly in sector 38 a unique handmade sheet paper meshing and creative selfie point featuring peacock, India’s National bird was a highlight.

In sector 22 RWA, women took the centre stage by performing an act/play on the importance of the Tiranga and its pride for Indians. In sector 27 three creative selfie points were made from waste material like ice cream sticks and buttons were set up for men, women and children promoting sustainability and patriotism. In Sector 33 children showcased their artistic skills with handmade drawings for Independence day, using rice, pulses and paint shading. The message of National pride was effectively delivered to each household, with active participation from women and specially abled children.

In MWAs sector 22 made great display of Tiranga and freedom fighters. Eco Tiranga arts were displayed besides beautiful tricolor lighting and distributing Tirangas to the visitors. In Sector 24, Vande Matram was displayed with beautiful rangoli colours and floral décor with Tiranga and displayed Har Dukaan Tiranga.

While speaking about the initiative, MC Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS said that the Tiranga Pratiyogita has not only promoted patriotism but also fostered community spirit, with RWAs and MWAs coming together to showcase their creativity and enthusiasm. She said that the event has demonstrated that community engagement and patriotism can go hand-in-hand, creating a beautiful and meaningful celebration.

पंचकूला 12 अगस्त- हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने कहा कि तिरंगा हमारी शान है, जान है और इसका सम्मान बनाए रखना हम सबकी जिम्मेदारी है। उन्होंने लोगों से आह्वान किया कि वे प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा चलाई गई हर घर तिरंगा मुहिम में भागीदारी करते हुए अपने घरों और प्रतिष्ठानों पर तिरंगा लगाएं और देश के लिए मर-मिटने वाले रणबांकुरों द्वारा देखे गए नए भारत के सपने को साकार करने में अपना योगदान दें।
 
श्री नायब सिंह सैनी आज जिला पंचकूला के कालका में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित जनसमूह को संबोधित कर रहे थे। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने भारत माता की जय के उदघोषों के साथ तिरंगा यात्रा को रवाना किया। देशभक्ति से ओतप्रोत यह यात्रा कालका मंडी से शुरू होकर श्री काली माता मंदिर, कालका में सम्पन्न हुई। इससे पहले मुख्यमंत्री ने ऐतिहासिक श्री काली माता मंदिर कालका में माता के दर्शन कर आशीर्वाद लिया। उन्होंने गुरुद्वारा साहिब में भी शीश नवाकर आशीर्वाद लिया।
 
श्री काली माता मंदिर से कालका मंडी कार्यक्रम स्थल तक स्थानीय लोगों और बच्चों ने मुख्यमंत्री का फूलों से स्वागत किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने भी सहर्ष लोगों का अभिवादन स्वीकार किया।
 
स्वतंत्रता दिवस क्रांतिकारियों और वीर शहीदों को स्मरण करने का दिन
 
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह हम सबके लिए गौरव की बात है कि 15 अगस्त को स्वतंत्रता दिवस पूरे हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह दिन उन क्रांतिकारियों और वीर शहीदों को स्मरण करने का दिन है, जिन्होंने हमारी भारत मां की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति दी थी। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देशवासियों से हर घर तिरंगा लगाने का आह्वान किया है ताकि हम देश को आजादी दिलवाने वाले असंख्य वीरों की शहादत को याद कर सकें।
 
श्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भारत को वर्ष 2047 तक एक विकसित राष्ट्र बनाने का संकल्प लिया है और इसे पूरा करने में 140 करोड़ देशवासी अपनी भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा भी प्रधानमंत्री के इस संकल्प को पूरा करने में पीछे नहीं है और प्रदेश का एक-एक नागरिक इस मुहिम में बढ़-चढ़ कर अपना योगदान दे रहा है।
 
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने हर वर्ग के कल्याण के लिए अनेक योजनाएं लागू की है। पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में एक अहम कदम उठाते हुए उन्होंने ‘एक पेड़ मां’ के नाम अभियान चलाया है। इस अभियान के तहत उन्होंने लोगों से आह्वान किया है कि वे जन्मदिन, वर्षगांठ या परिवार में अन्य खुशी के मौकों पर कम से कम एक पेड़ अवश्य लगाएं और उनका संरक्षण भी करें। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देश की प्राचीन योग शैली को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पहचान दिलवाई।
