Valedictory Ceremony of the CSDE Summer Skill Enhancement Course for Research Scholars
The valedictory ceremony of the 30-hour Summer Skill Enhancement Course on ‘Artificial Intelligence Tools for Research’ was held at the Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE), Panjab University, Chandigarh, on July 6. The course aimed to equip participants with knowledge and hands-on experience using AI tools for academic research and writing and concluded successfully. The Chief Guest, Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director of the Research and Development Cell at Panjab University ,highlighted the importance of keeping pace with technological advancements and how acquiring relevant skill sets can differentiate between people with similar backgrounds and experience levels. He emphasised that AI has the potential to revolutionise research by enabling more accurate data analysis, automating repetitive tasks, and uncovering patterns that traditional methods might miss. He noted that AI tools can significantly enhance the efficiency and scope of research, allowing researchers to tackle more complex problems and generate innovative solutions. The participating research scholars shared their appreciation of how the knowledge gained will assist them in their ongoing research and future openings. The ceremony concluded by awarding certificates to research scholars who successfully completed the course.
