  Panchkula, February 16:  Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh Gain Chand Gupta said that the double engine Government of Haryana has ensured all-round development of the state by realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana. The gift of various developmental projects worth Rs 9770 crore, including the country’s 22nd AIIMS to Haryana by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi today at Majra Bhalkhi village in district Rewari will give further impetus to development in the state.

Sh Gian Chand Gupta was speaking as the chief guest in a program organized at Indradhanush Auditorium, Sector-5 here today. Deputy Commissioner, Sh Sushil Sarwan and Chairperson, National Commission for Women, Smt. Rekha Sharma were also present on this occasion.

The foundation stone laying ceremony of AIIMS and the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of various other development projects by Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi in Majra Bhalkhi village of Rewari district was telecast live in all districts of the State.  The district administration, Panchkula had made elaborate arrangements for the live telecast of the program at Indradhanush Auditorium .

Sh Gupta aligning Viksit Panchkula with Viksit Bharat and Viskit Haryana

Sh Gupta started his address by aligning Viksit Panchkula with Viksit Bharat and Viskit Haryana. He said that Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Panchkula.  Welcoming Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi in Haryana, Sh Gupta said that Sh Narendra Modi had addressed his first rally in Rewari after he was announced Prime Ministerial candidate by BJP in 2013.

India has not only become self-reliant in the manufacturing of defense equipment but is also exporting to other countries

        In a sharp comparison to the 10 years regime of the previous Government with that of Mr Narendra Modi led government at the center, Sh Gupta said earlier rampant corruption was prevailing in the country and the people were deprived of due benefits under various welfare schemes. Contrary to this, Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi has shown a new path to India and the country is fast moving towards becoming self-reliant (Aatmnirbhar). Today, defense equipment are not only being manufactured in India but are also being exported. In terms of economy, India has reached the fifth position in the world and in the coming time, India is going to become the third largest economic power in the world. Road, rail and air connectivity has been strengthened in the country, which has paved the way for new avenues of development. India has become the first choice of foreign countries in terms of investment, he added.

Classes of Medical college will start in Civil Hospital Sector-6 in the next six months

  Sh Gupta said that Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal has ensured uniform development of the state by working with the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas and Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek. He said that Panchkula has transformed from a neglected Panchkula to a developed Panchkula. Blaming the previous government for always neglecting Panchkula in terms of development, he said that  in the last nine-and-a-half  years, development works worth Rs 5500 crore have been done in Panchkula. The capacity of Civil Hospital in Sector-6 has increased from 100 beds to 500 beds and modern facilities like CT Scan, Cath Lab and Dialysis have been made available  . He said that Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal has recently laid the foundation stone of the Medical College in Sector-32 Panchkula. Till the completion of building, the classes of Medical college will start at Civil Hospital Sector-6 in the next 6 months. He made it clear that there is no dearth of funds with the State Government for development works.

An amount of Rs 25 crore approved for repair and re-carpeting of 31 roads in the villages of Panchkula assembly constituency

  Sh Gupta said that the infrastructure in Panchkula has been strengthened in the last nine and a half years. For the convenience of the people, 14 bridges costing Rs 5 crore to Rs 65 crore were constructed, which include a bridge in village Khatauli built at a cost of Rs 18 crore and ROB in Sector-19 at a cost of Rs 32 crore. He said that an amount of Rs 25 crore has been approved for repair and re-carpeting of 31 roads in the villages of Panchkula Assembly and the work will start soon.

19 new community centers constructed in Panchkula

He said that a community center has been constructed in each village of Panchkula so as to facilitate villagers to organize social programs. He said that 19 new community centers have also been constructed in Panchkula and all have been named after the brave martyrs and great personalities of the country so that  our youth can take inspiration from their lives. Panchkula became the first district of the state, where 24-hour electricity supply has been ensured not only in the city but also in villages and hamlets.

Haryana’s transparent recruitment policy is being praised throughout the country

  Sh Gupta said that the transparent recruitment policy of Haryana is being praised across the country. Today in Haryana, youth are being given government jobs purely on the basis of merit .The present State Government has done away with the system of Kharch-Parchi which was prevailing in the previous government. The youth hailing from poor families is also being selected for higher posts which has enhanced people’s faith in the functioning of the Government.  Now, youth in the State have started believing that they could get any job with a stint of their hard work. He said that the present government has implemented several schemes for the welfare of the poor, the benefits of which are going directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries in a transparent manner. The amount under the old age allowance scheme has been increased to Rs 3000 per month.

Sh Gupta distributed checks and certificates to the beneficiaries of various schemes

 On this occasion, Sh Gupta presented cheques amounting to Rs 71,000, 51,000  and 31,000 respectively to seven beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana. Apart from this, he distributed pension certificates to 225 beneficiaries of the Old Age Allowance Scheme, out of which the pension of 120 beneficiaries will reach their accounts today evening, while the remaining beneficiaries will get its benefit in the first week of March. Sh Gupta distributed certificates to 93 trainees who had  completed their training in Bal Bhawan, Beauty Care Training Centre, Sewing and Embroidery Center run by District Child Welfare Council Panchkula in Panchkula, Kalka, Pinjore and Raipurrani. He also distributed Ayushman cards to the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
