The deparment of Sociology, Panjab University celebrated World Environment day

The deparment of Sociology, Panjab University celebrated World Environment day by putting plant and flower pots in department premises.  The Chairperson Dr Rani Mehta urged the students, faculty and non faculty members to save, protect and preserve environment for future generations by following tips such as using cycles, public transport, switching off lights and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness for which soaps and dental kits were distributed to students and staff. Prof. kiranpreet kaur and Mr. Vinod Kumar, faculty of the department also highlighted the environmental damages caused due to contamination of water, milk and other agricultural products as a result of chemicals, dyes etc. The students and staff participated actively through posters and slogans on protecting environment.
