Commissioner inaugurates integrated call centre for Municipal Services

Launches new complaint number 01722787200

Chandigarh, September 21:- Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh-cum-CEO-Chandigarh Smart City Ltd. today inaugurated an integrated call center for all Municipal Services of Chandigarh and launched new complaint number 01722787200.

Ms. Prabha Goyal, General Manager, Bharat Electronics Limited, Panchkula, Sh. Anil Kumar Garg, Additional Commissioner-cum-Additional CEO, CSCL, Sh. N.P. Sharma, Chief General Manager, CSCL and other officers were present during the launch. 

The Commissioner said that this call center shall be the part of Integrated Command and Control Center which is being developed by Bharat Electronics Limited. This center shall cater to services like grievance management, online building permissions and other municipal services.

He said that the request given to this call center shall be allocated to the field officers in real time and the complainant shall receive an SMS on their registered mobile number with the unique ID of the complaint, which can be further used for tracking of their complaint.

The Commissioner said that citizens can also reopen their complaints in case the service given to them was not complete. Also, in case the complaint is not attended by the field officers, the complaint shall be automatically escalated to the higher officers. This shall make governance more effective and accessible in the city.

With the launch of new complaint number, all the previous complaint numbers, which are being used for grievance redressal form including 155304 have been closed and only 01722787200 will be now functional. The call centre will operate 24×7 with trained staff.

TVC approves special concession of Rs. 500 monthly in Street vending fee under PM SVANidhi yojna

Chandigarh, September 18:- A meeting of Town Vending Committee, Chandigarh was held in MCC today under the chairmanship of Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.

During the meeting various important issues were discussed in detail and accorded approval for the following:

·        The Committee resolved to approve Rs. 500 maximum concession in the monthly Street Vending Fee (total 6000 benefit) for those Street Vendors who will avail the benefit of PM SVANidhi Yojna. The same will be effective from the date of the approval of the loan till the loan period i.e. for total 12 months.

·        The committee also discussed the status of progress of PM SVANidhi Atma Nirbhar Yojna.

·        The TVC also discussed the consideration of surveyed street vendors but not registered yet by the MCC for availing the benefit under PM SVANidhi under which the work has already been completed for Phase-I as per the bylaws and registration under Phase-2 will be commenced shortly.

Sh. Sorabh Arora, Joint Commissioner, Sh. Vivek Trivedi, Social Development Officer, DAY-NULM, other members of TVC including Sh. V.N. Sharma (attended online), Sh. Sita Ram, Sh. Ram Pal, Smt. Commissioner visits Petrol Pump sites; reviews progress

Chandigarh, September 16:- Sh. K. K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh today visited the newly allotted Petrol pump sites to the MCC at Industrial area Phase-II and at sector 51-A, Chandigarh. He was accompanied by Sh. S.K. Jain, Additional Commissioner, Sh. Shailender Singh, Chief Engineer, Sh. Sanjay Arora, SE B&R and concerned officers of IOC.

During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed the ground level status of the construction activities for early opening and starting of these petrol pumps. The IOC officers and engineers of MCC assures for commissioning and opening of the petrol pump site at sector 51 A by 2nd October, 2020.

The Commissioner said that the E-Governance project is being implemented by Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) for approximately 28 municipal services, which upon implementation will facilitate the municipal staff and the citizens of Chandigarh. By implementing the online services citizens will be able to get the services from the comfort from their home such as water and sewage connections, online booking of community centres, submission of the property tax, grievance redressal, Online Building Plan Approval System etc.

During the two week long campaign, Master Cheeku got a new bicycle from the Mayor and was very happy. He said that he use to go to his school on foot, which located at 4 Kms away from the house of his uncle and could not afford cycle. He thanked the Mayor, Commissioner and RJ Meenaxi for arranging bicycle to him.

MCC auctioned 4 shops in Terraced Garden successfully

Chandigarh, August 27:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has auctioned 4 shops at Terraced Garden, Sector 33, Chandigarh on monthly license fee basis for 5 year @ Rs. 17000/- plus GST as applicable per month against the reserve price of Rs. 14000/-.

The auction was conducted in the presence of Sh. Rajesh Gupta and Smt. Ravinder Kaur Gujral councilors as observers and committee members Sh.
