The same should be properly conveyed to the residents. The wardens are required to submit a compliance report by 5PM.
26th June, 2022: Department of Public Relations, Panjab University in collaboration with Centre for Social Work, PU and Chandigarh Press Club is organising a Photo Exhibition showcasing the works of 51 photojournalists.
The exhibition titled ‘ Canvas of Life : A Media Kaleidoscope’ will be on display from 28th June to 30th June. ” It is the first time that the office of Director Public Relations, Panjab University is making an effort to create an interface between the media and the University with an event like this. We hope to strengthen our ties with media which is an important pillar of our society” said Dr. Gaurav Gaur, Director Public Relations, PU & Chairperson with Centre for Social Work, PU. It will bring together the photographs that reflect diverse areas, be it art, culture, dance, theatre, politics, people, festivals, sports, animals, monuments, covid-19, lockdown, protests, rallies, scenes from nature and the city life.
” We are grateful to the Panjab University for this initiative to bring together the media and the University” said Rajinder Nagarkoti, Secretary, Chandigarh Press Club.
The photographs in the exhibition will showcase works not only from Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana, but also from Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and also from Australia, and the United Arab of Emirates (UAE).
The exhibition will have some shots by photographers, who are also members of Chandigarh Press Club, which includes colours of Holla Mohalla, Kumbh Mela, Farmers Protest, Covid lockdown, etc.The work of 51 photojournalists from different media houses will be on display in this three days photo exhibition.
Eminent vocalist and winner of Zee TV’s realty show “Sa Re Ga Ma” Rinku Kalia brought alive the magic of legendary Punjabi poet Shiv Kumar Batalvi’s classic poetry at a specially-designed musical show “Birha Da Sultan—a musical tribute to Shiv Kumar Kumar Batalvi”—here today.
Kicking off the programme with soulful “rat gaye kar tara tara”, Rinku switched over to “peeda da paraga”, “aaj pher dil”, “mainu tera shabab” and “maiye ne maiye” exhibiting a wide range of emotions. “Shikra yaar”, which reflected the pain and anguish of a separated lover, struck an emotional chord with a select discerning audience.
Audience’s choice dominated the last segment with the acclaimed singer obliging a select audience with poetic gems, including “ sikhar dophere, “mainu heere heere” and “ki puchh deo”. The classical “ye mera geet” provided the grand finale to the over-two hour show attended by music lovers from Chandigarh and neighbouring towns.
The show was organised by the Haryana Punjabi Sahit Academy, Panchkula, in collaboration with the Department of the Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration, and the Punjab Lekhak Sabha, Chandigarh and S-4 Trust.
Haryana Power Minister Ranjit Singh was the chief guest while Gurvinder Singh Dhamija, Deputy Chairman, Haryana Punjabi Sahit Academy, Panchkula, was the guest of honour. Bhupinder Malik compered the show with admirable competence.
Chandigarh, June 25:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has launched “Har Gadi Bin, Har Gadi Bag” plan to sensitise citizens towards littering and ban on single use plastic.
While sharing this new initiative, Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh said that If every citizen keeps a shopping bag in his/her car, plastic bags can be completely eliminated from market areas. She said If every car has a dustbin, and citizens put their thrash in the same, littering can be greatly reduced.
The Commissioner said that MCC and RLA have tied up with all the car dealers that both at the time of sale of new car, and at the time of servicing, the car dealer shall provide the customer with a dustbin and a shopping bag to try and inculcate these habits in citizens. She further said that RLA shall make it compulsory for citizens who come to renew their registrations, to install dustbins and keep cloth/jute shopping bags in the vehicles. This is an important step as Chandigarh has the highest vehicular density anywhere in the country at 878 registered vehicles per 1000 persons.
She further said that MCC has also started a selfie with shopping bag/selfie with bottle(to reduce the use of plastic disposable water bottles) in which citizens have been asked to tag the MCC social media handles. She said MCC has been taking several steps to curb the plastic menace.
The Commissioner said that recently, series of events were held with MWAs in which a cash prize of 1 lac has been announced for the first MWA which becomes totally plastic free. She said that progressive MWAs like sector 46 has started giving discounts to citizens who come with their own shopping bags.
She said that the MCC has also set up a cloth bag outlet, manned by a SHG in the Sabzi Mandi of Sector 26, to promote use of Cloth/Jute bags and discourage use of single use plastic.
She said dedicated joint task force of MCC and CPCC to check all places where hoarding of plastic is being done. In the past 6 months, 935 challans of littering and 721 challans of use of banned plastic have been issued.
She appealed to all citizens to shun the use of single use plastic and adopt sustainable practices like using their own water bottles and carrying their own shopping bags to the market.
दूसरे दिन भी प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को दिया गया प्रशिक्षण, रोगी के पास साफ-सफाई, आवश्यकता अनुसार दवाई, रोगी के साथ अच्छा व्यवहार व निश्चित समय पर ड्यूटी पहुंचने के बारे में बताया
चंडीगढ में सेंट जॉन एंबुलेंस (इंडिया) हरियाणा राज्य केंद्र चंडीगढ़ द्वारा सेक्टर-29 स्थित बाबा बालक नाथ धर्मशाला में 22 से 24 जून 2022 तक प्राथमिक सहायता एवं गृह परिचर्या प्रवक्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। शिविर के दूसरे दिन वीरवार को गृह परिचर्या की कक्षा में जम्मू से आई प्रशिक्षका सुषमा सीमा ने रोगी के पास साफ-सफाई, रोगी को बिमारी की आवश्यकता अनुसार दवाई देना, रोगी के साथ अच्छा व्यवहार करना और अपनी ड्यूटी पर निश्चित समय पर पहुंचने के बारे में अवेयर किया। सुषमा ने प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को रोगी का कमरा कैसा होना चाहिए और दवाई देने के निर्धारित समय को भी विस्तार से और व्यवहारिक रूप से वर्णित किया। प्राथमिक सहायता के प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को दिल्ली से आए मास्टर ट्रेनर डॉ आर के शर्मा और अनूप अवस्थी ने प्राथमिक सहायता देने के तरीकों के अंतर्गत सीपीआर, खून बहने और हड्डी टूटने पर प्राथमिक सहायता देने बारे व्यवहारिक प्रशिक्षण दिया। उन्होंने सभी प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को अति बारीक जानकारी दी जो रोगी के जीवन को बचाने में बहुत सहायक हो सकती है। उन्होंने श्वास नली में रुकावट आने पर रोगी को क्या उपचार दें और रोगी का अगर हृदय और फेफड़े काम करना बंद कर दे तो उसे सीपीआर किस प्रकार दे डमी के साथ प्रेक्टिकल करके बताया । प्रशिक्षण शिविर में प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को सुबह योग कक्षा में भी बुलाया गया जिसमें प्रशिक्षणार्थी समीर तनेजा ने सभी को योग के महत्व के बारे में बताएं और प्रणाम सूक्ष्म व्यायाम और व्यायाम कराकर शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से स्वस्थ रहने के तरीके बताएं। प्रशिक्षण शिविर निदेशक संजीव धीमान ने भी योग कक्षा में प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को योग का जीवन में महत्व और अनुशासन का महत्व बताया। शिविर में प्रातः सेंट जॉन ध्वजारोहण भी कोर्स निदेशक संजीव धीमान के कर कमलों द्वारा किया गया l उन्होंने ध्वजारोहन पश्चात प्रशिक्षणार्थियों को उनके कर्तव्य बताते हुए उनके भविष्य की मंगल कामना की। यह शिविर हरियाणा रेडक्रॉस और सेंट जॉन एंबुलेंस हरियाणा के महासचिव डॉ मुकेश अग्रवाल के मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित हो रहा है।
अर्थशास्त्र, इतिहास, राजनीति विज्ञान और पर्यावरण आदि विषयों में मौका
इंदिरा गांधी नेशनल ओपन यूनिवर्सिटी (इग्नू) ने स्नातक डिग्री प्रोग्राम अग्निवीरों के लिए तैयार किया है| राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (एनईपी) 2020 के तहत अग्नि वीरों के लिए विशेष रूप से डिजाइन किया जा रहा है| डिग्री एंड के तहत बेशक डिजाइन होगी, लेकिन इसमें रिसर्च वह ऑनर्स का विकल्प नहीं होगा|
3 वर्षीय स्नातक डिग्री प्रोग्राम फुल 120 क्रेडिट का होगा| इसमें 50 फ़ीसदी क्रेडिट अग्निवीर कि संबंधित सेना के प्रशिक्षण का रहेगा| मतलब, 60 क्रेडिट अग्निवीर की ट्रेनिंग से लेकर 3 साल की जॉब का हिस्सा होंगे, जबकि कोर्स की पढ़ाई व परीक्षा से उसे 60 क्रेडिट हासिल करने पड़ेंगे| खास बात है कि पहले साल की पढ़ाई पूरी करने पर सर्टिफिकेट, दूसरे साल के बाद डिप्लोमा और तीसरा साल पूरा करने पर डिग्री मिलेगी| अग्निवीर को 3 साल की डिग्री पूरी करने के लिए 6 साल का समय मिलेगा|
इग्नू के क्षेत्रीय निर्देशक (प्रभारी) डॉ. सविता पँवार ने बताया कि स्नातक डिग्री प्रोग्राम मिश्रित मोड से चलेगा| इसका अर्थ है ऑनलाइन मोड के तहत से कहीं से भी ऑनलाइन क्लास में भाग ले सकेंगे| इसके अलावा प्रिंटिंग मटेरियल भी दिया जाएगा, ताकि पढ़ाई में किसी प्रकार की बाधा उत्पन्न ना हो| अग्निवीर यदि बीच में 2 या 3 साल बाद जॉब छोड़ता है, तब भी उसकी स्नातक डिग्री प्रोग्राम की पढ़ाई चलती रहेगी लेकिन इसमें उसे जो भी आ ट्रेनिंग के दौरान कौशल से मिलने वाले सा क्रेडिट फिर पाठ्यक्रम के तहत पढ़ाई और परीक्षा देकर अर्जित करने पड़ेंगे꠰ उम्मीदवार को हर वर्ष कुल 40 क्रेडिट अर्जित करने होंगे|
इसमें 20 क्रेडिट ट्रेनिंग तो 20 क्रेडिट पढ़ाई से अर्जित करने अनिवार्य होंगे| डॉ. पँवार के मुताबिक, इसमें भर्ती होने के बाद ही अग्निवीर दाखिले के लिए पंजीकरण कर सकेंगे| इसमें अर्थशास्त्र, इतिहास, राजनीति विज्ञान, लोक प्रशासन, समाजशास्त्र, गणित, शिक्षा वाणिज्य आदि विषय शामिल किए गए हैं| फिलहाल क्रेडिट को लेकर नेशनल काउंसिल फॉर वोकेशनल एजुकेशन एंड ट्रेनिंग (एनसीवीटी) तैयारी कर रहा है

यह बेड शीट्स विश्वास फाउंडेशन की महासचिव साध्वी नीलिमा विश्वास व ऋषि प्रभु विश्वास ने इमर्जेंसी में कार्यरत सिस्टर परमिंदर कौर को हैन्डोवर कीं। इस मौके पर सिस्टर नूपुर कुमारी व अन्य स्टाफ भी मौजूद रहे।
A Yoga Awareness Rally was organized inside Panjab University by all NSS volunteers on the second day of the four day special yoga festival under the Guidance of Dr. Richa Sharma, NSS Program Officer at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The rally was flagged off by Dr. Rohit Kumar Sharma, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University as the chief guest. On this occasion Dr. Mohinder Kumar from Government College of Yoga, Sector 23 was present as a special guest. He appreciated this awareness rally being taken out by all the volunteers. The main objective of this rally was to educate all the citizens about the importance of Yoga. So that everyone can place yoga in their daily routine and lead a healthy life. During this awareness rally, all the volunteers of NSS visited the whole university and slogans were raised by all the volunteers for the awareness of yoga with great enthusiasm. All the students were led by Dr. Richa Sharma, the coordinator of this program and while giving this information, she said that it was very important to organize such an awareness rally on the second day of Yoga Mahotsav. Because there are many such people inside the society who do not understand the importance of Yoga. But such a rally which has been organized by the volunteers, is very commendable and in the same way, in the coming days of Yoga Festival, International Yoga Day is celebrated with great solemnity by organizing various activities. Other staff members were also present on this occasion.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced four new subjects Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Finance Management and Marketing Management in MBA, for the July 2022 session. Apart from these, MBA (General) is also available in offline and online mode.
MBA Banking and Finance is also available which is designed to suit executives working in the banking sector. Thus there are total seven types of MBA programs. Dr. Savita Panwar, Regional Director (I/C) of IGNOU, Regional Center Chandigarh told that all these MBAs are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). AICTE has approved IGNOU for one lakh admissions in MBA program for July 2022 session.
There will be no entrance test for admission to any of these MBA programmes. Applicant should have passed graduation with minimum 50% marks. Applications for admission can be made directly through IGNOU’s Samarth portal https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/. Dr Savita Panwar informed that the admissions for July 2022 session has started, the last date to apply is 31st July. Applicants are advised to go through Management Programs before applying. All admission process including fee payment is being done through Samarth portal of IGNOU.

Centre for social work, Panjab University, Chandigarh students of masters of Social Work conducted street play at construction site in Sector-25, Chandigarh. Through this play students spread awareness about harmful effects of tobacco consumption on health and environment.
Tobacco consumption is not only impacting human health but harming environment too. Smoking is affecting the health of smoker and also affect the non smoker around. Audience is encouraged to leave smoking and tobacco products. People took pledge to quit tobacco products like cigarette, biddi, cigar for healthy life and help in saving environment.
