चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन ने शहर के बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को 15 जून तक 25 फीसदी बिजली शुल्क माफ करने की घोषणा

चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन ने शहर के बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को 15 जून तक 25 फीसदी बिजली शुल्क माफ करने की घोषणा की है। यह घोषणा प्रशासक वीपी सिंह बदनोर ने शुक्रवार को डेली वार रूम की बैठक लिया। इसके अलावा प्रशासक ने सेक्टर 16 अस्पताल में कल तक 4,000 ओपीडी मामलों को निपटाया है। जिस पर उन्हे अन्य सभी चिकित्सा संस्थानों को धीरे-धीरे अपनी ओपीडी सेवाओं को बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए, ताकि चिकित्सा सेवाओं में सामान्य स्थिति बहाल हो सके।

इसके अलावा प्रशासक ने नगर निगम आयुक्त जिला मजिस्ट्रेट, वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक, निदेशक स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं, डब्लूएचओ प्रतिनिधि सहित प्रभावित क्षेत्र समिति द्वारा अनुशंसित सेक्टर 30-बी से प्रतिबंध ज़ोन प्रतिबंध हटाने का निर्देश जारी किया। हालांकि, उन्होंने निदेशक स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को क्षेत्र में नियमित जांच और निगरानी जारी रखने का निर्देश दिया।

इस मौके पर प्रशासक के सलाहकार मनोज परिदा ने कहा कि जैसा कि भारत सरकार ने तय किया है, सभी शॉपिंग मॉल, धार्मिक स्थल, होटल और रेस्तरां 08 जून चंडीगढ़ में। पहले से ही स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा परिचालित मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (एसओपी) को सख्ती से लागू किया जाएगा।

जबकि डीसी मनदीप सिंह बराड़ ने बताया कि अब तक शहर के विभिन्न हिस्सों में 60,66,000 पके हुए भोजन के पैकेट बेसहारा और जरूरतमंद व्यक्तियों के बीच वितरित किए गए हैं। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि अब तक, 3,31,000 लोग यूटी, चंडीगढ़ में आरोग्य सेतु एप्लीकेशन डाउनलोड कर चुके हैं।

Chandigarh, June 5:- Smt. Raj Bala Malik, Mayor and Sh. K.K. Yadav, I.A.S., Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh today honored the Civil Society Organizations i.e. Association of Professional Social Workers and Developmental Practitioners (APSWDP); Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), Swarmani Youth Welfare Association (SYWA); Shaping Careers Education Society and other and Corporate Industries including Dabur India Ltd. Marico Ltd. Coca Cola Ltd. houses for extending their sustenance support and handholding while combating COVID 19 humanitarian crisis in Chandigarh for economic weaker sections and marginalized communities.

Panjab University all set to develop   Entrepreneurship, Employability and Innovation HUB under RUSA

Panjab University, Chandigarh received grant of Rs 7.5Crores  as the first instalment towards Innovation hub under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shikhsa Abhiyan (RUSA) for establishing Hub for Entrepreneurship, Employability and Innovation against grant of  Rs 50 Crores by the Ministry of Human Resource Development .  The Grant consists of two components – Rs 15 crores, of which first  50% instalment is received by PU for Innovation Hub, whereas Rs 35 Crores exclusively for research,which is awaited.    

Professor Raj Kumar, Vice ChancellorPanjab University has been making efforts  for this project by presenting the same in a new format after which PU was successfully awarded grant of Rs 50 Crores by the Ministry of Human Resource Development .PU VC informed that the grant from RUSA will  impact on the growth as well as  ranking of the university . This is also a blessing for the fund starved university where very little is available for research, infrastructure and innovation.   Lately University also submitted additional project for Rs 20 Crores for infrastructure development for which final approval is awaited.  The proposed Hub  will give unique blend of skill development and startup as well as incubation possibilities to all budding students of the university from all sections not only from the university campus, but also from the all colleges situated in Chandigarh,he added.

Professor Rajeev K. Puri, University Coordinator for RUSAelaborated that this grant will be spent in creating new facility for State of Art Incubation center for which new building is proposed, for Skill development and for pre-incubation centers at various departments of the university as well for shaping soft skills of the students for various sections so that we can prepare the students for better jobs in the markets. The incubation center will also support start ups with soft support via loan or seed money so that their proposals, as well as new innovations can be transformed into industrial platform. He further elaborated that this incubation center as well as pre-incubation hubs will be very fruitful for the university as  these will eventually not only help in jobs prospects, but at the same time will  give budding entrepreneurships as well as startups all facilities under one roof that ranges from incubating the idea to its market selling aspects.

Department of Biophysics, PU Organized Webinar on Immune Profiling in Covid-19 Research.

Department of Biophysics, Panjab University in collaboration with Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, India organized a webinar on “Immuno profiling and Immune Function Analysis of T cells in Covid-19: A flow Cytometric Perspective” on 5th June.  

The webinar was convened by Dr Sarvnarinder Kaur, Chairperson and Dr Naveen Kaushal, Assistant Professor of Department of Biophysics. Over 90 participants from different departments and institutes attended the webinar.

Prof. V R Sinha, Dean Research, PU inaugurated the webinar. In his opening remarks Prof. Sinha appreciated the efforts of the organizers for putting up a webinar on the role of immune system during the Covid-19 pandemic. He emphasized that in current challenging times such events sensitize and motivate the students, research scholars and scientists to actively contribute in research pertaining to similar areas.

Earlier, Dr Sarvnarinder Kaur appreciating the encouragement by Prof Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor in organizing such events on the topics of academic and scientific interests, welcomed the participants and introduced the speaker Mr Mukund Joshi, Analyst-Field marketing, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, India. She shared her thoughts on the effective and constructive use of technology as preferred mode of communication during Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr Mukund the speaker of the day introduced SARS-COV-2 as public health emergency. Discussing the role of immune system, particularly T cells as important mediators in the initiation and progression of the COVID, he apprised the attendees about the versatile use of Flow Cytometry as an efficient prognostic and diagnostic tool in COVID research. He also gave a detailed perspective on intervention workflow and safety aspects related to COVID research. During the interactive session, queries related to immune based profiling, safety issues and immune modulations during reinfections were discussed.

 A webinar on “Re assessing the issues of health , nutrition and environment after the outbreak of covid -19 ” was organized by department of Sociology . Dr Rani Mehta Chairperson welcomed the eminent speakers,Dr N K Sharma, a world renowned naturopath and Chairman founder of worlds largest Reiki Foundation in New Delhi  and Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhry, an international Medical nutritionist who is program director at Lincoln University College , Malaysia .

Dr Sharma emphasized on the need to develop a strong immune system and do away with fear complex and stress if we want to protect ourselves from covid 19 . He highlighted the benefits of having fresh fruits and vegetables instead of milk and animal products. 

Dr.Biswaroop Roy Chowdhry also focused on the significance of simple healthy diet in fighting corona. He said that healing without pills is the need of the hour and vaccines may not prevent corona virus but healthy home grown and home made food will do so . 

The webinar was well attended by more than 70 participants from different departments and fields.

केंद्र सरकार की तरफ से हरी झंडी मिल गई है। प्रदेश सरकार को अपनी परिस्थिति के हिसाब से निर्णय लेना है।

जुलाई महीने में स्कूल खोलने का विचार किया जा रहा है

तीन फेज में स्कूल खोलने की प्रक्रिया रहेगी

10वीं, 11वीं, 12वीं 3 क्लास पहले खुली

छठी से नौवीं क्लास उसके बाद खुलेगी

तीसरे फेज में पहली से पांचवी तक की क्लास खोली जाएगी।

स्कूल खोलने से पहले डेमो स्कूल खोले जाएंगे।

दो बातों का विचार किया जा रहा है।
आधे बच्चे एक दिन बुलाए जाएंगे। आधे बच्चे अगले दिन बुलाए जाएंगे।
दूसरा विचार यह है कि आधे बच्चों को सुबह के टाइम बुलाया जाए। आधे बच्चों को शाम के टाइम बुलाया जाए इन दोनों डेमो पर काम किया जाएगा

कमेटियां बना दी गई है, सुझाव लिए जा रहे है

विशेषज्ञों की राय है कि कोरोनावायरस लंबे समय तक चलेगा।
कोरोना के डर से बैठा नहीं जा सकता। कोरोना के साथ जीना है।
सुरक्षा के उपायों के साथ स्कूल खोले जाएंगे।

जो बच्चे अगली क्लास में आर्ट और कॉमर्स लेंगे। उनका रिजल्ट औसत आधार पर तैयार किया जाएगा।

महेंद्रगढ़ जिले का नाम बदलने का विचार सरकार के एजेंडे में नहीं

चंडीगढ़ –महेन्द्रगढ़ विधानसभा क्षेत्र से पांच बार विधायक पूर्व शिक्षा मंत्री प्रो. रामबिलास शर्मा ने कहा कि महेंद्रगढ़ जिले का नाम बदलने को लेकर मीडिया में चल रही अटकलों में कोई सच्चाई नही हैं।  जिलेे का नाम बदलने के विषय को लेकर आज उन्होंने प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर जिला रीऑर्गेनाइजेशन कमेटी के चेयरमैन उपमुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला, सदस्य शिक्षा मंत्री कंवर पाल गुर्जर व अन्य कमेटी सदस्य सहकारिता मंत्री बनवारीलाल से दूरभाष पर बात हुई है। उन्होंने मुझे इस बात के लिए आश्वस्त किया है कि महेंद्रगढ़ जिले का नाम बदलने का विचार सरकार के एजेंडे में नहीं है। महेंद्रगढ़ के मामले में कोई निर्णय लेने से पहले आपसे जरूर विचार किया जाएगा।  पूर्व मंत्री रामबिलास शर्मा ने मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर,मुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला व अन्य जिला रीऑर्गेनाइजेशन कमेटी को अवगत कराया कि महेंद्रगढ़ जिला संयुक्त पंजाब के समय में भी जिला होता था। नाभा के समय में 8 जिले होते थे जिनमें महेंद्रगढ़ एक जिला था इसलिए इस पुराने जिले के अस्तित्व को न छेडा जाए। श्री शर्मा ने मीडिया में चल रही चर्चाओं को विराम लगाते हुए कहा कि महेंद्रगढ़ की जनता को भ्रामक प्रचार में आने की आवश्यकता नहीं प्रदेश सरकार कोई ऐसा निर्णय नहीं लेगी जिससे महेंद्रगढ़ के लोगों के आन-बान व स्वाभिमान को आंच आये

SAIF/CIL, Panjab University Analytical Facility RESTARTS

Chandigarh June 4, 2020

Department of SAIF/CIL, Panjab University which is serving the scientific community throughout the country, has restarted its analytical facilities for its users which include Academia and Industries both, informed Prof. G.R. Chaudhary, Director SAIF/CIL .

Taking into account the huge demand of SAIF/CIL facility, Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, visited the centre to ensure the safety procedures for handling the  samples after they are received at the department in view of COVID19 pandemic situation.

Prof Chaudhary appraised that centre is fully prepared to collect, sanitize and analyze the samples with full safety.  He told that the department of SAIF/CIL, under the expert guidance of Dr. Ramesh Sharma has developed UV sanitization chamber, which has been installed at  the entry gate of the department on May 14, 2020. Prof. Chaudhary further added that in view of current pandemic situation, visitors cannot be allowed to visit the SAIF/CIL labs physically.  However, samples will be entertained in non-contact mode.  In this regard, following procedures will be adopted to analyze the samples:

1.    Requisition form will be received online only. (Forms are available on the website: http://saif.puchd.ac.in/).

2.    All payments will be received via online mode/digital mode.  (Cash payments will not be preferred).

3.    Users are not allowed to enter beyond the entry point of the department.

4.    Samples will be collected at the entry point only.  Samples via postal mail will also be entertained. 

5.    Sanitization of received samples will be carried out immediately on the receipt of the samples followed by UV sanitization to get rid of any infections.

6.    Communication of users with technical staff will be through digital mode only.

The department of SAIF/CIL is ready to serve with all safety measures in place
