IGNOU TEE June, 2021 starts from 3rd August, 2021

IGNOU Term End Examinations June, 2021 for the final year of Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes along with their backlogs (if any), Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma, Post Graduate Certificate and Certificate programmes are going to commence from 03rd August, 2021 and will conclude on 09th September, 2021 in the region.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website (http://www.ignou.ac.in/ and appear in the examination.

Dr. Anil Kumar Dimri, Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Center, Chandigarh informed that students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University at the time of admission during the examination. Under Regional Centre Chandigarh 6975 eligible students have been issued Hall Tickets for this examination who will be appearing in different programmes.  IGNOU RC Chandigarh has deputed Observers for monitoring examination activities and monitoring team has also been deputed by IGNOU headquarter, New Delhi for the smooth conduct of Term End Examination in the region. IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh has established 08 Examination Centers for TEE June, 2021 including 02 Exam Centers in Jails at Chandigarh & Ambala for jail inmates.

Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips) have been issued to Final Year/End Semester Masters, Bachelors, PG Diploma, Diploma and PG Certificate, Certificate programmes and who have applied and are found eligible for appearing in the Term-end Examination.  The Hall Tickets are available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website and appear in the examination.

The Examination Centres have been instructed to allow students, with a valid Identity Card, to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips), but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.

During the entire period of examinations the examination centres will implement the social Distancing and other measures as per Government of India guidelines in current scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health and safety of the students.

Students are also required to adhere to the guidelines and maintain the social distancing, wear mask, use of sanitizer and maintain hygiene to ensure safety and health of their own and fellow students.

Students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University/Govt. during the Examination. Mobile phones and any other electronic gadgets are not permitted inside the examination hall.

Cleanliness cum Plantation drive at PU

A Cleanliness cum Plantation drive was organized by  National Service Scheme in association with Horticulture Division of Panjab University  at Hibiscus Park, Sector 14, Chandigarh. In this cleanliness cum plantation drive many teachers and NSS volunteers participated. Dr. Anuj Kumar, NSS Programme officer said that such events are now the necessity of the society for a healthy environment. He urged the volunteers to ensure proper care of the saplings. Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Tilak and  Dr. Gagandeep Singh also graced the event. Dr. Sucha Singh proposed vote of thanks and motivated students for Tree plantation.

(Hons.), Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh got rare distinction by securing 1st rank in the national level UGC CSIR-JRF-NET Examination held in June 2020 and result declared in February 2021, informed Prof. Daizy Rani, Chairperson.

Delegation from Bharatpur (Rajasthan) visits Chandigarh; meets Mayor & Commissioner

Chandigarh, July 28: – Sh. Abhijeet Kumar, Mayor from Bharatpur Municipal Corporation (Rajasthan) alongwith delegation of 40 councillors held a meeting with Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor and Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and other senior officers of MC, Chandigarh today evening.

Mayor welcomed the delegation in the Office and gave brief introduction regarding various projects & functions of the Corporation, Sanitation system, Solid Waste Management System, door to door waste collection, MRF stations, Garbage Processing Plant etc.

Before the meeting the delegation visited different parts of city to study integrated sanitation system in city including visiting MRF stations, Garbage Processing plant at dadumajra and viewed the GPS enabled vehicles deployed for Solid Waste Management System.

The delegation and Mayor appreciated the sanitation system followed in city by the Municipal Corporation. The Mayor also appreciated the waste disposal system including segregation of waste and door to door waste collection system in city. He said that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has succeeded to motivate the local citizens for systematic disposal of waste generated at their households and it is a great achievement to change the mindset of city residents for systematic disposal of waste generated in the city.

One Day Workshop on Drug De-Addiction By PU

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), Panjab University, Chandigarh and Centre for Human Rights and Duties, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a one-day workshop for NCC Cadets of Panjab University  on Drug De-addiction.

Dr.Kuldeep Singh, Coordinator, NCC, Panjab University introduced the theme of the Workshop and relevance of Drug De-addiction in present times.

Professor (Dr.) Monica. M. Singh introduced the speaker Dr.Ajeet Sidana, Professor, Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. Dr.Sidana discussed about different types of substance use disorders and its effects on human mind and behaviour. He discussed about the different methods of treatment of drug de-addiction that could help the victim to overcome the habit of taking drugs over the period. Through various case studies, he put forth that drug addiction should be treated like an ailment under medical prescription and guidance. He added that an individual suffering should not be treated like an outcaste and should be provided requisite assistance both by family and society. Dr.Sidana answered the questions of the cadets with respect to social and legal aspect of drug de-addiction.

Mayor inaugurates Open air gym at Sunlight Park, Sector 22

Chandigarh, July 27: – Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh today inaugurated open air gym in Sunlight Park, Sector 22-C, Chandigarh in the presence of local residents and office bearers of Resident Welfare Association.

Prof. Sanjay Chhibber from the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University got life time achievement award during an online ceremony of IInd International Conference on Bacteriophage Research organized by Society for Bacteriophage Research and Therapy from 22nd to 24th July, 2021.

Prof. Chhibber has devoted 42 years in the teaching and research of microbiology at Panjab University. He was awarded lifetime devotion award by the Microbiology Society in 2019.  He has published 265 research papers in national and international journals of repute, with 52 publications in bacteriophage therapy. At present he is serving as Emeritus Scientist (ICMR) in the department.

दलितों को न्याय सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आयोग द्वारा बनाए गए विशेष पोर्टल संबंधी करवाया अवगत

सांपला ने उप-राष्ट्रपति वैकेंया नायडू से की भेंट:

राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जाति आयोग के चेयरमैन विजय सांपला ने भारत के उप-राष्ट्रपति श्री वैकेंया नायडू से एक विशेष मुलाकात की। विजय सांपला की बतौर चेयरमैन उप राष्ट्रपति के साथ यह एक शिष्टचार भेंट रही।

बैठक दौरान सांपला ने श्री नायडू को अनुसूचित जाति वर्ग को आयोग के माध्यम से जल्द न्याय दिलाने के लिए किए गए नए प्रावधानों संबंधी अवगत करवाया। इस मौके सांपला ने नेशनल एससी कमीशन द्वारा शुरू की गई ऑनलाइन शिकायत निवारण पोर्टल संबंधी भी जानकारी दी।

सांपला ने उप-राष्ट्रपति को जानकारी दी कि पोर्टल के माध्यम से देश के किसी भी हिस्से से पीडि़त व्यक्ति न्याय के लिए अपनी शिकायत दर्ज करवा सकता है। उन्होंने पोर्टल पर शिकायत दर्ज करने से लेकर उक्त शिकायत को ट्रेक करने संबंधी कार्य को ई-फाइलिंग की दी गई सुविधा की विस्तृत जानकारी दी।

सांपला ने श्री नायडू को बताया कि कैसे पोर्टल पर दलित अत्याचारों के केसों की सुनवाई प्रक्रिया ई-कोर्ट की तरह ही काम कर रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि उक्त पोर्टल आयोग की वैबसाइट से सीधे जुड़ा हुआ है, तथा पोर्टल पर दर्ज शिकायत सीधे आयोग के समक्ष दर्ज होती है। उन्होंने बताया कि पोर्टल पर शिकायत के साथ अन्य ऑडियो/वीडियो फाइलें भी अपलोड करने की सुविधा भी दी गई हैं।
