State-Level Workshop on AISHE Survey 2024–25 Concludes in Panchkula
“Continuous improvement in quality, speed and coordination is vital to stay on top,” says S. N. Narayanan
Panchkula, October 6 — A one-day state-level workshop on the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2024–25 was organised on Monday at the Auditorium of the PWD Rest House, Sector 1, Panchkula. The event was conducted by the Haryana Statistical Cell of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana.
Shri S. N. Narayanan, IFS, Director General of Higher Education, Haryana , attended as the chief guest. He commended Haryana for consistently ranking among the top-performing states in AISHE participation and data submission, attributing this achievement to institutional commitment and coordinated efforts.
“Remaining at the top also means we must continue to improve our quality, speed and alignment with emerging national priorities,” Mr. Narayanan said.
Ms. Anita Sirohiwal, Director, Ministry of Education, outlined the workshop’s three key objectives: ensuring 100% participation and timely data submission; aligning AISHE data with NEP 2020 and ranking frameworks; and capacity building for error-free data entry. She noted that the data submission portal was opened earlier this year to support evidence-based policymaking. She highlighted that the AISHE initiative, launched in 2010–11, plays a crucial role in building a robust national database on higher education. The 2024–25 survey began on July 15, 2025, and the final submission date is October 15, 2025.
Technical Expert Shivam Pandey conducted in-depth sessions on data procedures, while Dr. Veena, State Nodal Officer, explained the survey framework and its significance.
Around 250 representatives from universities and colleges across Haryana participated in the training.
