Special Legal Literacy Camp Held for Grassroots Officials*

Panchkula, August 23: A special Legal Literacy Camp for grassroots officials was conducted here today in the conference hall of the ADR Centre, District Court Complex.

Chief Judicial Magistrate and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula, Sh. Ajay Kumar Ghanghas informed that the camp was organized under the guidance of Sh. S.P. Singh, Member Secretary of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority, and Sh. Ved Prakash Sirohi, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority. 

During the camp, participants were educated on several key legal issues. Smt. Sonia Sabarwal, Protection Officer, provided insights into the Child Marriage and Domestic Violence Act. Smt. Nidhi Malik from the Women and Child Development department discussed the POCSO Act, while Smt. Pramila Bhardwaj, a Panel Advocate, delivered a lecture on the legal rights of laborers.

Fourty two participants including health workers, teachers, panchayat members, Anganwadi workers and volunteers participated in the camp. This initiative aims to enhance legal awareness and empower officials at the grassroots level with essential legal knowledge.
