PU VC interacts with Faculty
More than 570 faculty members attended the online meeting chaired by Prof Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University Chandigarh in the context of admission, examination and opening of research labs etc.
More than 20 faculty members interacted with Vice Chancellor and shared their ideas. The purpose of the meeting was to capture the ideas of PU faculty .The suggestions of the faculty members will be considered as per improvement in the Covid-19 situation.
Vice Chancellor also shared with the faculty members that students may be facing frustration due to uncertainty regarding commencement of exams, opening of labs and admissions but keeping in mind that the health of students is of prime concern for the University, their safety cannot be compromised. Hence, any decision needs to be taken with great care. PU authorities are having regular meetings with senior faculty and administrative officers and keeping a close watch on the situation. As and when normalcy returns, the decision regarding examination and admissions would be taken accordingly and students would be communicated well in advance. They need not worry about the dates.
