Paras Health Panchkula Rolls Out ‘Pink Panthers’ Initiative to Strengthen Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection
The hospital underscores its focus on women’s health through community engagement, survivor stories, and accessible screening aimed at promoting preventive care.
Panchkula, October 29, 2025: In a major push for women’s health and cancer awareness, Paras Health Panchkula has launched the ‘Paras Pink Panthers’ initiative to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign aims to inspire strength, hope, and early detection through community participation, expert consultations, and preventive screenings.
As part of the drive, Paras Health Panchkula is offering a Comprehensive Screening Package at just Rs. 500, which includes Mammography, PAP Smear, and Doctor Consultation, making preventive and diagnostic care more affordable and accessible for women across the region.
Mammography and clinical-breast exams conducted routinely can reduce breast-cancer mortality significantly — in low- and middle-income settings, evidence shows approximately a 30% reduction for women aged 50 and older through organised screening programmes. [1] Yet in India, the uptake of screening remains dismally low (just around 1.3% for women aged 45+ in a recent national survey). [2]
The expert Oncology team at Paras Health Panchkula Present During Program includes Dr. Rajeshwar Singh (Director – Medical Oncology), Dr. Chitresh Aggarwal (Associate Director – Medical Oncology), Dr. Rajan Sahu (Associate Director – Surgical Oncology), Dr. Ishaan Allahabadi (Senior Consultant – Surgical Oncology), Dr. Jagandeep Virk (Senior consultant – Orthopaedics Oncology), and Dr. Romeeta Trehan (Senior Consultant – Radiation oncology).
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Facility Director, Paras Health Panchkula, said, “At Paras Health Panchkula, we believe that awareness is the first step toward prevention. The Pink Panthers initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to women’s health, by making screening accessible, empowering survivors to share their journeys, and encouraging every woman to take charge of her wellbeing. Early detection truly saves lives, and we want to make that message reach every home. Our Rs. 500 Comprehensive Screening Package removes a major barrier, cost, and encourages women to act before symptoms arise.”
The launch event featured the ‘Honsla Meet,’ a gathering of the Paras Cancer Support Group, which brought together cancer survivors, healthcare experts, and community members. The event included awareness talks, inspirational survivor stories, recognition of Pink Champions, and on-site breast cancer screenings.
With a strong focus on community-led healthcare, Paras Health Panchkula continues to champion preventive care and cancer awareness. Backed by a multi-disciplinary team and advanced facilities, the hospital remains dedicated to providing compassionate, expert-led care that safeguards women’s health at every stage of life.
