New Director Takes Charge of Centre for IAS, PU
Dr. Sonal Chalwla, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Applications, Panjab
University, Chandigarh has taken over as Honorary Director of the Centre for IAS and
Other Competitive Examinations.
Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations at PU aims to help the aspirants who
compete in various national and state level competitive examinations including UPSC,
State Judicial Services and UGC-NET. Dr. Sonal Chawla said her priority as Director is
to strengthen the Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations and make it vibrant
so that the aspirants of the region in general and PU in particular are benefitted from
the courses at the IAS Centre.
Prof Sonal Chawla has been an active researcher and a proficient academician with over
30 Research Publications in International and National Journals.. She has carried out
various research projects by National Agencies like UGC, AICTE etc.
She has been conferred the Career Award for Young Teachers. Her Contributions as
Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Applications and Co-ordinator of
Chandigarh Science Congress have been well lauded.
