MCC constitutes flood control teams
Chandigarh, June 25:- Keeping in view of the coming Monsoon Season, Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today constituted 20 teams consisting of Officers/officials from Public Health divisions have been constituted.
While sharing this information he said that a Flood/Water logging Control Centre has also been made operational round the clock in three shifts with telephone number 0172-2540200 at water filling station Sector 15 Chandigarh and 2nd in Manimajra (Water Works-II, MHC) telephone no. 0172-2738082.

Note: All the SDE’s will be provided with 4 Nos. Sewerman/Beldar during the Monsoon period.
1. EE MCPH-I will look after the work in the area mentioned at Sr. no. 1 to 4
2. EE MCPH-II will look after the work in the area mentioned at Sr. no.5 to 9
3. EE MCPH-III will look after the work in the area mentioned at Sr. no.10 to 14
4. EE MCPH-IV will look after the work in the area mentioned at Sr. no.15 to 20
All the team leaders will arrange required labour for removal of blockage in Storm Water drains during the period of rain in other than day time with approval from their respective Executive Engineers. The teams will work under the supervision of Divisional Officers as under:-

In addition to the above, Sub Divisional Engineers of the Road wing of the concerned area will also move in their areas with sufficient labour to get any blockage removed at any point of the road due to depression/grass on berms or any other reason .
The over all in-charge of the work will be Executive Engineer M.C.P.H. Division No.4, Chandigarh. These orders will be operative from 01.07.2020 to 30.09.2020.
