*MCC conducts major anti-encroachment drive in Industrial Area Phase II*
*Chandigarh, June 24:-* The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh carried out a major anti-encroachment drive today in Industrial Area Phase II.
Following the directions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, the enforcement teams successfully removed seven large generators that were illegally installed on MC land. This step was taken to reclaim valuable public land and ensure proper usage in accordance with civic guidelines.
In addition to the removal of encroachments, the teams also issued 22 challans to violators for various infringements under the Municipal Corporation Act. The drive is part of a larger initiative to maintain order, improve public infrastructure, and prevent unauthorized occupation of government property.
The Municipal Corporation remains committed to keeping public spaces free of encroachments and appeals to citizens and businesses to cooperate and follow the regulations. Further enforcement actions will continue in other areas also.
