Mayor lays foundation stone for canal water supply at Dhanas
Chandigarh, November 22:- Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh laid foundation stone for providing canal based water supply to village Dhanas, Sarangpur and 8448 flats, Dhanas, here today morning in the presence of Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, other officers of MCC and prominent persons of the area.
While speaking on the occasion after laying the foundation stone, the Mayor said that there was a long pending demand of the local residents for canal water supply. He said that the areas will be supplied canal based water supply involving expenditure of Rs. 32 lacs.
He said that with the provision of canal based water supply, the water pressure during summer season will be increased and the requirements of local residents fulfilled. He asked the concerned engineers to complete the work within stipulated time period.
