*Mayor inaugurates tubewell and booster at village Kishangarh*
*Chandigarh, September 2:-* Sh. Kuldeep Kumar, Mayor, Chandigarh today inaugurated the newly constructed Tube Well and Booster with laying of pipeline alongwith pumping machinery at village Kishangarh, Chandigarh in the presence of Mrs. Suman Sharma, area councilor, other officers of MCC and prominent persons of local area.
The tubewell and booster/UGR having capacity of 1 lakh gallon has been provided under the village development funds amounting to Rs. 92.81 lacs.
The Mayor said that Kishangarh village has population around twenty thousand people which has water demand of 0.65 MG per day. Earlier, Kishangarh has only 2 tubewells as water supply sources which provided 0.44 MG water per day with a water deficit of 0.21 MG per day.
He said that with the provision of New tubewell and booster for village Kishangarh 0.24 MG extra water will be supplied daily, fulfilling the total requirement of the village. He said that earlier the local public had regular complaint about the low pressure water supply in their area for the long time. The long pending demand of residents in village Kishangarh has been fulfilled today with the functioning of the Tube well and Booster as they will get water at adequate pressure up to 3rd Floor, added the Mayor.
