Mayor distributes 10% arrear of monthly payment increase to door to door waste collectors
Chandigarh, February 9:– Sh. Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh today handed over cheques of 10% arrear of monthly payment increase to the door to door waste collectors.
The Mayor handed over the cheques to the waste collectors in a programme organized at MCC building here today. During the programme arrear of monthly payment was given w.e.f. 01.01.2022 to 31.12.2022 and all these varying from 10000 to 65000. The arrears to all the 926 door to door waste collectors will be disbursed through their bank accounts.
As per the MoU with the door to door waste collectors, the waste collection from door to door in the residential areas had been started from 01.01.2021 on monthly payment basis and after completion of one year 10% increase was to due to the door to door waste collectors.
