Mayor & Commissioner plants saplings at sector 19 & 23
Chandigarh, June 7:- Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh and Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today planted saplings of medicinal plants at a park, Sector 23, Chandigarh.
During the tree plantation drive Smt. Sunita Dhawan, area Councillor and Sh. K.P. Singh, Superintending Engineer, Horticulture, MCC also planted saplings of plants. The Mayor appealed to the area Resident Welfare Association representatives to take care of the plants and upkeep of the park near their houses.
In addition to that the Commissioner planted saplings of various plants at a park, sector 19, Chandigarh during tree plantation drive organized by Indian Oil Corporation. Nearly 30 medicinal and flowering plants were planted by the officials of MCC and Indian Oil Corporation during the drive.
