Mayor and councilors hails the services under ICCC project
Chandigarh, October 1:- The celebration of grand event of 75th anniversary of our freedom as “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” continues on Friday with the demonstration of various services to the councilors of MCC, Media representatives, students of different schools and citizens at the Command and control centre, MCC building, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh was the chief guest during the demonstration programme which was attended by councilors of MCC including Sh. Mahesh Inder Siddhu, Senior Deputy Mayor, Mrs. Farmila, Deputy Mayor and officers of BEL and MCC.
During the programme, the team of experts demonstrated Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) platform and smart field solutions such as intelligent traffic management system (ITMS), Adaptive Traffic control system (ATCS), CCTS surveillance equipped with artificial intelligence based video analytics etc.
The Chandigarh Smart City Ltd. team demonstrated the ICCC platform to the Mayor and councillors with integrated traffic control system, e-challan system, live monitoring by surveillance cameras etc. The demonstration was given in three batches, where first batch was for Councilors, the second batch was for media representatives and the third batch was of students and general citizens.
While speaking on the occasion, Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor said that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India far evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to take India up to new heights.
He said that one of such umbrella “Information and Communication technology” initiative of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and Chandigarh Smart City Limited is Integrated Command and Control Center abbreviated as ICCC. Under this project, it has been envisaged not only to provide smart services to their citizen but also to enhance the safety and security infrastructure in the city.
