*Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker inaugurates the construction of two paver block roads to be built at a cost of Rs 1.11 crore in villages Billa and Sundarpur*
Villages are being developed on the lines of cities, basic facilities like electricity, water, sewer and community centre are being provided – Gian Chand Gupta
Panchkula, August 8 – Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh Gian Chand Gupta today inaugurated the work for the construction of two paver block roads to be built at a cost of Rs 1.11 crore in villages Billa and Sundarpur.
These include work worth Rs 38.59 lakh on the 1.02 kilometer road from Billa village to Jaswantgarh and work worth Rs 72.36 lakh on the 3.36 kilometer road from Bassi Barwala of Sundarpur village to Kami.
While addressing the gathering in village Billa, Sh Gian Chand Gupta said that the work for strengthening and construction of paver blocks of 31 roads of Barwala block is going on at a cost of Rs 21 crores. He emphasised that some of these works have been completed while others are in progress and that will also be completed soon. He said that the school in village Billa has been upgraded from class 10th to class 12th so that girls student do not have to go out of the village for studies. At present, there is a need of additional rooms in the school, the estimate of which has been prepared and sent to the Government. He assured the villagers that the construction work of the rooms will be started at the earliest . He said that today there is no village left in Panchkula assembly constituency, which does not have the facility of community center and Dharamshala.
The Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that the present State Government has developed the villages on the lines of cities . Before the year 2014, electricity supply was made only for 7 to 8 hours. Our government has ensured 24-hour electricity supply in the villages of the state. He said that 50 new tube wells have been installed in Barwala block to ensure adequate supply of clean drinking water. In the field of education, Sanskriti School, Model School, ITI, Polytechnic, Engineering College and Medical College have been established.
He said that Panchkula has become a sports hub. International level stadium with all modern facilities have been built. While expressing concern over the rising trend of drugs in the youth, he said Sports is the only way to save the youth from the clutches of drugs. Through sports we can channelize youth’s energy into the right direction .
Sh Gupta said that in the earlier governments, both money and recommendation were required to get a job. Our government has changed this practice. Now jobs are being given to the youth purely on merit basis without any kharchi and parchi (money and recommendation) . The youth today are getting jobs on the stint of their hard work.
The Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that Chief Minister, Sh Nayab Singh Saini is visiting Panchkula on August 12 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects. He appealed to the villagers to reach in the program in maximum numbers.
On this occasion, XEN PWD (B&R) Department Ashish Chauhan, SDO Anil Kamboj, Mandal President Gautam Rana, Councillor Ashok Sharma, Satbir Chaudhary, Budhraja, Kulbhushan Goyal, Rajesh Kumar, Panch Harnek Singh, Jasbir Jassi and other dignitaries were present.
