Panchkula, February 2 – Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr Gian Chand Gupta flagged off special bus service of Haryana Roadways from Panchkula to Ayodhya to facilitate the people of Panchkula to perform darshan at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.  Initially one bus has been started from Panchkula to Ayodhya and more buses could be pressed into service keeping in view the number of devotees, he added.
 
Sh Gupta formally flagged off the bus amid chanting of mantras at Haryana Roadways Bus Depot and Workshop at Industrial Area Phase-2, Panchkula. He himself boarded the bus along with the devotees and reached Panchkula Sector-5 bus stand.
 
The bus will reach Ayodhya via Delhi, Mathura, Agra and Lucknow after covering a distance of 959 kilometers
 
While addressing the gathering after flagging off the bus, Sh Gupta said that he was also keen on visiting Ayodhyadham to perform Ram darshan but initially the facility of darshan of Ram Lala has been made available to the general public. He stated that the bus will reach Ayodhya via Delhi, Mathura, Agra and Lucknow after covering a distance of 959 kilometers. This facility is like a dream come true for Ram devotees. He said that the bus will ply three days a week on Friday, Monday and Wednesday. The bus will leave at 10.30 am from bus stand Sector-5 and reach Ayodhya at 5 am next day.  After the devotees perform Ram darshan, the bus will start its return journey to Panchkula at 2 pm. The devotees going to Ayodhya will have to pay a nominal fare of rupees 1269 per person for one side. Sh Gupta thanked Chief Minister, Shri Manohar Lal and Transport Minister Sh Mool Chand Sharma for starting this bus service keeping in view the religious sentiment of the people.
 
The construction of Ram temple has changed the fate and picture of Ayodhya and has given a major boost to tourism
 
 The Vidhan Sabha Speaker emphasised that the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Rama has taken place at Ayodhya after a wait of about 500 years. This is a matter of pride for about 140 crore people of the country, he said, adding that we are fortunate to have witnessed this occasion in our lifetime. The construction of Ram temple has changed the fate and picture of Ayodhya and has given a major boost to tourism. After the consecration of lord Rama on January 22, about 27 lakh people have performed darshan of  Lord  Ram in the last ten days.


 
*Electric buses will provide better transport facility and will also help in environment conservation  
Sh Gupta said that electric buses will run in Panchkula soon. Under the City Bus Service, Panchkula is going to get 50 electric buses which will ply on different routes. This will not only provide better transport facilities to the people of Panchkula but also help in environment conservation.  He said that at present about 150 buses from district Panchkula are operating in various districts of the state besides Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh.
 
Workshop constructed in Industrial Area Phase-2 Panchkula at a cost of Rs 83 crore
 
Sh Gupta said that during the tenure of previous governments, Panchkula was discriminated against in every field. Panchkula was the only district in the state where Haryana Roadways did not have its own depot and workshop. It was only after the people of Panchkula elected him in 2014, he raised this issue before the Chief Minister and requested him for a depot at Panchukula. The Chief Minister accepted his request and a depot of Haryana Roadways was made in Panchkula. Not only this, a one-of-its-kind workshop was also constructed in Industrial Area Phase-2 Panchkula at a cost of Rs 83 crore.
