Full Dress Rehearsal for the 68th Annual Convocation of PU, Chandigarh

Full Dress Rehearsal for the 68th Annual Convocation of Panjab University, 
Chandigarh scheduled for 28th April, 2019 was held today at Gymnasium Hall under the supervision of Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, PU. 

There are total 1020 number of students to be bestowed with degrees, out of which, 493 are for Ph.D Degrees (330-Females and 163-Males) and 527 other than Ph.D. However, there are 340 number of students to be awarded with Merit certificates, medals and cash prizes. 

The students from 3 countries namely Iran, Myanmar and Thailand and 16 states of India were present during the rehearsal.  

Sh. M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Chancellor of Panjab University and Vice 
President of India will confer Vigyan Rattan Award to Dr. K.Sivan, Chairman, ISRO and Secretary, Department of Space, Bangalore. 

Sh. V.P.Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT. Chandigarh will also be present on the occasion. The candidates have been requested to occupy the seats 45 minutes before start of the convocation.   

 Senior PU officials were present on the occasion which included Prof. 
Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Prof. Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examination, Sh. Vikram Nayyar, Finance & Development Officer, Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Neena Capalash, Dean Student Welfare(Women), Ms. Ekta Bajaj, Dietician, Dr. Parminder Singh, Directorate of Sports, XEN, Wardens, Architect and Ms. Renuka B.
