F&CC approves integrated solar garden light at Japanese garden as pilot project
Chandigarh, May 25:- The Finance & Contract Committee of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today approved the proposal for installation and commissioning of integrated solar garden light at Japanese garden, sector 31, Chandigarh as a pilot project. The garden light will be installed at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.35 lacs having 15 watt which will be replicated at other parks also after its successful commissioning.
This proposal was passed in a meeting of Finance & Contract Committee, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh held here today under the chairpersonship of Smt. Sarbjit Kaur Dhillon, Mayor and attended by Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner and other members of committee namely Sh. Mahesh Inder Singh Sidhu, Sh. Saurabh Joshi, Sh. Jasbir Singh, Smt. Gurbax Rawat, Smt. Taruna Mehta and other senior officers of MCC were present during the meeting.
The members of committee discussed various other important agenda items in detail and accorded approval for the following:
· The committee approved the proposal for the work of redevelopment of Bougainvillea Garden, Sector 3, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 49.71 lacs.
· The Committee members accorded approval for providing and laying of 4” & 6” id/d DI Water Supply line in place of Old/Damaged Existing PVC/CI Water line near House No. 207 to 356, Sector 29, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.26 lacs.
· Proposal for Dismantling repair/relaying/ providing and fixing paver blocks and PCC tile & Kerb on V-4, V-5 road Sector 44, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 30.26 lacs.
· Procurement and installation of 03 incinerators at MRF/GTS.
· Condemnation of vehicles of Fire and Head Office, MC, Chandigarh.
· Proposal for the work of Development of 08 Parks in Industrial Area Ph-I & II, Chandigarh by providing Horticulture works at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.79 lacs.
· The Committee members accorded approval of redevelopment of Green Belt by providing and fixing of tree guards, Gymnastic equipments, pipe benches and Rubber Hose Pipe and Landscaping work by providing and planning different types of Ornamental plants flowering shrubs etc. and demolition of existing paver track and construction of cement concrete walking track in park front of House No. 1001, Sector 30, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.18 lacs.
· Providing furniture in Newly Constructed Community Centre , Sector 21, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 25.97 lacs.
· Providing fitness equipments in GYM of newly constructed Community Centre in EWS Colony Dhanas, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 24.92 lacs.
· Providing and Fixing polycarbonate sheet on passage to underground at Community Centre, Sector 48, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.16 lacs.
· Providing and fixing G.I. pipe railing in market of Sector 34, 35 and 43 and repair or replacement of M.S. Square Pipe railing in Sector 34 Market, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 36.92 lacs. The members asked the concerned engineers to take some modern design in the provision of pipe railing so that it will look beautiful.
· Improvement of Junction of V-3 with V-4 road between Sector 39 and 39 West Chandigarh (Construction of slip road) at an estimated cost of Rs.24.59 lacs.
· Providing and laying of 200mm SW pipe line for discharging of solid waste plant sewage into main line Chandigarh MC Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 18.95 lacs.
· Rough cost estimate for the work of “procurement of 7 Multi Gas Detector through GEM Portal for various functions at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.20 lacs.
· Repair & Renovation of Public Toilet Blocks near Lohri Dhaba, Sector 44/D and near Rehri Market, Sector 44-C, Chandigarh. at an estimated cost of Rs.15.96 lacs.
· Regarding starting of work in Civil Dispensary 52 under Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 45.00 lacs.
· Regarding starting of work in Civil Dispensary 39 under Municipal Corporation Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 45.00 lacs.
· Proposal for providing and fixing 60mm thick blocks on existing internal streets in Chaman colony, Dhanas at an estimated cost of Rs. 36.42 lacs.
· Proposal for providing and fixing 60mm thick blocks on existing internal streets in Aman colony, Dhanas at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.05 lacs.
