F&CC approves 3 additional dog catching vans to strengthen the ABC programme

Chandigarh, April 26:- The Finance and Contract committee of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has accorded approval to purchase 3 additional dog catching vans to strengthen the animal birth control programme in the city. This was decided in a meeting of F&CC held here today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Anup Gupta, Mayor and attended by Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner and other members of committee namely Sh. Dalip Sharma, Sh. Gurpreet Singh, Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Ms. Neha, Smt. Prem Lata and other senior officers of MCC were also present during the meeting.

The members of committee discussed other various important agenda items in detail and accorded approval for the following:

· The work of providing and installing furniture in Community Centre, Vikas Nagar (Small) Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 04.98 lacs.

· Providing and fixing Chequred tiles on Median of V-4 road Sector 35 & V-5 road Sector -34, 35 & 43 after uplifting of kerb at an estimated cost of Rs. 9.78 lacs.

· Dismantling & Repair of Median of V-4 road Sector 44 & V-4/V-3 junction Sector 50/51, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.84 lacs.

· The work of Supply of Visitor Chairs for Councillor Room in Dispensary at Village Daria, Chandigarh at an estimated cost or Rs. 0.47 lacs.

· The work of Raising/ Repair of existing paver block footpath around the various parks in Sector 32 A & D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.53 lacs.

· Arrangements of refreshment for the participants of the different teams from 7th to 23rd April, 2023; Ex-post-facto approval thereof for amounting to Rs. 5.00 lac

· The work of Re-construction and repair of damaged footpath along with V-5 road in Sector 42, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 48.97 lacs

· Revised rates for auctioning of saleable material at MRF Centre, Industrial Area Phase-I, Chandigarh. The rates are as under:

Plastic/ Mix Plastic Rs. 20/- per Kg, Iron/ Iron Mix Rs. 23/- per Kg, Card Board (Gatta Mix) Rs. 5/- per Kg, Glass (Kanch) Rs. 3/- per kg, Black Wire Rs. 3/- per kg, Shoes Rs. 2/- per kg, Aluminium Can/ Can Rs. 60/- per kg and Clothes Rs. 2/- per kg

· The work of providing and fixing of Hut and benches in parks/garden and green belt Sector 45 and 46, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.35 lacs.

· The work of Supply and fixing of Open Air Gym Fitness equipments and P&F of PCC Benches and Children Play Equipments in various parks and green belt of Village Kajheri and Sector 52, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.20 lacs.

· Allotment of Vend/Shop to open liquor at opposite Kalagram and Village Mauli Jagran near nurseries Chandigarh Panchkula Road (Road Leading from Hallomajra to Panchkula) U.T., Chandigarh for the Excise Policy period 2023-2024 (01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024) at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.83 lacs.

· The work for Sound Proofing, Panelling etc. at Community Centre, Sector 15, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 48.86 lacs.

· The work for Up-gradation of front side and back side of Market/Showroom Sector 19-D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 40.20 lacs

· The Re-development of green belt by construction of cement concrete track after demolishing existing paver track in green belt adjoining Government School, Sector 56 and repair of existing paver track and construction of Toe wall in Green belt near Community Centre Sector 56, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 29.07 lacs.

· Proposal regarding realignment of cement track and refilling of jogging track in green belt Sector 18-B, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 14.35 lacs.

· The Committee accorded approval of Rs. 40 lacs for the CEO’s Conference on Data and Technology in Chandigarh on 27th and 28th April, 2023.

· The work of Construction of road from House No. 3524 to 3928, 5655 to 5837, 5905 to 5952, 5770 to 5785 and in front of 5762, Ambedkar Colony, Sector 56, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 19.92 lacs

· Proposal regarding realignment of cement track and refilling of jogging track in green belt sector 18 C&D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 15.23 lacs.

· Proposal for the re-laying and construction of new cement concrete track in various neighbourhood parks of Sector 37 and Sector 38, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 27.98 lacs.

· The work of providing and laying additional 450mm (18”) i/d RCC NP-2 pipe line and construction of new machine holes & road gullies for smooth disposal of rain water from Kirpal Asharam (Sector 27-B) upto 26/27/28 grain market roundabout Sector 27-B, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.34.13 lacs.  

· Making connection from existing booster to EWS house for constant pressurized water supply in the EWS house of Sector 29-B, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 17.43 lacs

· Approved hiring of 16 Cattle Catchers through outsourcing to control the stray cattle menace in Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 48 lacs.

· Providing and laying 4” dia DI water supply pipeline in place of existing 4” dia CI lines from H. No. 01 to 143 in Old Indira Colony, Manimajra Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 32.88 lacs

· Rough cost estimate for the work of providing and laying of storm water drainage pipe line for smooth disposal of rain water in front of house no. 1 to 8, sector 20 A & in front of parking of post office sector 20-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 20.04 lacs.

· The work of revamping the flooring & berm with high density chequered tiles in market of sector 44 C&D at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.46 lacs.

· The committee also considered and accorded approval to the policy regarding booking of commercial grounds including sector 17, Manimajra and exhibition ground, sector 34, Chandigarh. The rates have been discussed and approved as under:

Sector 17, Circus Ground, Chandigarh from January to December on First come First Serve Basis ( Rs. 25000/- Revised Rate Per Day and Rs. 15000/- Circus Show per day), (Rs. 12,500/- Govt./ Semi Govt. Per Day) and (Rs. 5000/- per day for first two days and Rs. 15000/- per day for subsequent days for Religious Organization) 

Housing Board ground Manimajra Chandigarh from January to December on First come First Serve Basis ( Rs. 25000/- Revised Rate Per Day and Rs. 15000/- Circus Show per day), (Rs. 12,500/- Govt./ Semi Govt. Per Day) and (Rs. 5000/- per day for first two days and Rs. 15000/- per day for subsequent days for Religious Organization) 

Sector 34, Exhibition Ground, Chandigarh from January to July on First come First Serve Basis ( Rs. 25000/- Revised Rate Per Day), (Rs. 12,500/- Govt./ Semi Govt. Per Day) and (Rs. 5000/- per day for first two days and Rs. 15000/- per day for subsequent days for Religious Organization) 

In addition to that the committee discussed and decided that Rs. 2000/- will be charged per day as cleaning charges in addition to the ground rent.
