After the peace march, BK Anita took the gathering through a session of meditation.

While addressing the gathering, the Mayor said, “I thank Brhmakumaris from the core of my heart. The need for a cleanliness campaign is only because we do not take it as a personal responsibility to ensure cleanliness. We need to ensure that our internal and external environments are always clean.”

Addressing the session, MC Commissioner Ms. Mitra said, “A highlight of my recent trip of Indore was the way residents and the common man there were participants to their cleanliness effort. Every car there had a small dustbin to ensure no one needed to throw trash out of moving vehicles. This is something I want implemented here.”

BK Uttara said, “Only if we are at peace and have clean thoughts inside of us, can we ever dream of a pristine and spic and span outside, in our environment. We need to empower ourselves through Shiv Baba and virtuous conduct to bring cleanliness, both within and outside of ourselves.”

Earlier, the Mayor made everyone take an oath to contribute to the cleanliness of surroundings. Single-use plastic is not be used at any cost. Simple habits like carrying a jute bag for purchases of daily needs will work wonders.”
