Chandigarh, November 10:- The two days Kirtan Samagam organised by the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today ends at Sector 34 with the concluding “Kirtan” by Hajuri Raagis from Golden Temple, Amritsar.
The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh organised this two days Kirtan Samagam to commemorate 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji during which documentary based on the “Udaasis” life and events of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji has been showcased in four separate pandals to spread the real message of peace and oneness of humanity.
Prominent Kirtan Jathas including Bhai Amrik Singh Ji, Granthi from Gurudwara sector 34, Chandigarh, Bhai Gurkirat Singh Ji, Hazuri Raagi, Gyani Harpal Singh Ji, Kathawachak and Bhai Karnail Singh, Hazuri Raagi from Sri Darbar Sahib, Golden Temple, Amritsar performed on the concluding day.

सांसद सुनीता दुग्गल ने कहा कि जीवन में आगे बढऩे और सफलता प्राप्त करने के लिए तंदुरुस्त शरीर में एक स्वस्थ मन का होना बहुत ही जरूरी है। किसी भी महत्वपूर्ण लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए उस पर ध्यान केंद्रीत करने के लिए मानसिक और बौद्धिक स्वास्थ्य का होना बहुत आवश्यक है। खेल खेलना उच्च स्तर का आत्मविश्वास जगाता है तथा वह हमें अनुशासन सिखाता है, जो हमारे साथ जीवन भर रहता है।
वे आज स्थानीय शहीद भगत सिंह स्टेडियम में तृतीय राज्य स्तरीय खेल महाकुंभ के समापन अवसर पर बतौर मुख्य अतिथि संबोधित कर रही थी। राज्य स्तरीय खेल महाकुंभ के अंतर्गत जिला सिरसा ने बॉस्केटबाल व जुड़ो प्रतियोगिता की मेजबानी की है। पारितोषिक वितरण समारोह की अध्यक्षता उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग ने की। इस मौके पर खेलों के नोडल अधिकारी एवं एसडीएम सिरसा जयवीर यादव, जिला खेल एवं युवा कार्यक्रम अधिकारी कृष्ण कुमार बेनीवाल सहित भारी संख्या में खिलाड़ी व उनके कोच मौजूद थे।
सांसद सुनीता दुग्गल ने कहा कि केन्द्र व प्रदेश सरकार की नीतियों खेलों में आगे बढाने में सहयोग कर रही है और इस दिशा में सरकार द्वारा और अधिक प्रयास किए जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार गांवों में व्यायामशालाएं व स्टेडियम बना कर युवाओं में नशे जैसी लत को छोड़ कर खेलों से जोडऩे का काम कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार राज्य, राष्टï्रीय व अंतर्राष्टïीय स्तर पर विजेता खिलाडिय़ों का पूरा मान सम्मान कर रही है। उन्होंने पद्मश्री अवार्डी वालीवॉल खिलाड़ी अरुणिमा सिन्हा के संघर्ष का किस्सा भी सुनाया कि कैसे उन्होंने हादसे में अपना पैर गवाया और फिर भी होंसला न हारते हुए माउंट एवरेस्ट फतेह किया। अब अरुणिमा सिन्हा ने दुनिया की अन्य बड़ी चोटियों पर चढने का लक्ष्य रखा है। उन्होंने सभी टीमों के कोच को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि कोच टीम की ताकत होते हैं, कदम कदम पर खिलाडिय़ों काम मार्ग दर्शन करते हैं।
उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग ने सांसद सुनीता दुग्गल का स्वागत किया और उन्होंने खेलों के सफल समापन के लिए खिलाडिय़ों, कोच व आयोजकों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि एक स्वस्थ शरीर में ही एक स्वस्थ आत्मा का निवास होता है। यदि आप शारीरिक रुप से तंदरुस्थ हैं तो कठिन से कठिन मंजिल प्राप्त की जा सकती है। खेल के समय में खिलाड़ी में एकाग्रता होनी बहुत जरूरी है। जब तक खिलाड़ी एकाग्र होकर खेल में नहीं रमते है तब तक कामयाबी नहीं मिल सकती। खेलों से बच्चे एकाग्रता सीखते हैं और एकाग्रता से पढाई या कोई अन्य लक्ष्य दूर नहीं रहता। एकाग्रता की भावना खेल से ही मिलती है। खेल हमारे सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए बहुत ही बेहतरीन टॉनिक है। बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य के लिए खेल बहुत ही आवश्यक हैं। उन्होंने खिलाडिय़ों से अपील की कि वे अपने काम, मेहनत, एकाग्रता व खेल से अन्य बच्चों को भी प्रेरित करें। उपायुक्त ने कहा कि खेलना हमारे, आत्मविश्वास के स्तर का निर्माण करता है और आगे बढने की प्रेरणा देता है। इस अवसर पर सांसद सुनीता दुग्गल एवं उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग ने बास्केटबाल व जुड़ो के फाईनल मैचों को भी देखा तथा विजेता खिलाडिय़ों को पुरस्कृत किया। उन्होंने रोहतक व सोनीपत तथा कैथल व करनाल की टीमों का बास्केटबाल का मैच भी देखा।
इस मौके पर मंडल बाल कल्याण अधिकारी कमलेश चाहर, जिला बाल कल्याण अधिकारी पूनम नागपाल, वरिष्ठï भाजपा नेता प्रदीप रातुसरिया, पार्षद सुमन शर्मा, राजेश शर्मा, वरिष्ठï नागरिक एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष लालचंद गोदारा सहित विभिन्न जिलों से आए खिलाड़ी व कोच मौजूद थे।

Dr Gnansekaran N., Assistant professor, NIT Surathkal, Karnataka delivered a lecture on “Hybrid Optimization for Engineering applications” at Information Technology department of UIET, PANJAB UNIVERSITY CHANDIGARH on dated 07, Nov, 2019. He emphasized on the importance of Optimization methods for solving engineering problems. Key optimization algorithms like Genetic Algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimization were also covered by him. He took engineering examples to teach optimization methods. Many times it is difficult to select one optimization algorithm for a particular problem, combining two methods may give better solution. Research papers were discussed by the speaker to show that hybrid optimization is the key to find optimal solution.This lecture was organized by Mr Sukhvir Singh, Assistant Professor and Dr Krishan Kumar, Professor under the guidance of Dr Savita Gupta, Director, UIET. Almost 80 persons attended this lecture including faculty members, research scholars, master’s students and undergraduate students.

अयोध्या राम जन्मभूमि विवाद पर सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा दिए गए निर्णय को एक एतिहासिक निर्णय बताते हुए हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने एक स्थायी समाधान दिया है।
नई दिल्ली में हरियाणा भवन में मीडिया से बातचीत करते हुए हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने एक बहुत बडे विषय पर सर्वसम्मति से एक एतिहासिक निर्णय दिया है। इस स्थायी समाधान से सभी को संतोष हुआ है। मंदिर का निर्माण निश्चित तौर पर हो सकेगा। मुस्लिम पक्ष पांच एकड़ भूमि पर एक भव्य मस्जिद बना सकेगा।
मीडिया द्वारा किए गए एक प्रश्न पर हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रदेश में आपसी सौहार्द व सामाजिक भाईचारा सामान्यतया बना ही रहता है। व्वावहारिक तौर पर सावधानियाँ रखना भी आवश्यक होता है। समाज में शांति समितियां सक्रिय हैं। कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखे जाने के दृष्टिगत नागरिक प्रशासन व पुलिस व्यवस्था मुस्तैद है।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट के माध्यम से आज शनिवार को राम मंदिर बनाने के फैसले का स्वागत करते हुए कस्बा व ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में लोगों ने लड्डू बांट खुशी जताई। क्षेत्रवासियों शाम मंगल, देवेंद्र सिंह, महेश गोगा, सुंदर लाल पंसारी, महिंद्र मीरपुर, सोनू राणा खटौली, राजू छाबडा, अजय वर्मा, चंद्र प्रकाश एडवोकेट, गौरव सिंगला, सुखदेव मानकटबरा, विपिन वालिया, प्रीत सरदार, राजेश प्रजापति, विजय मोहन वर्मा, रजत आदि ने बताया कि राम मंदिर फैसले पर सभी तथ्यों को ध्यान में रख फैसला सुनाया गया है व यह फैसला किसी एक समाज व वर्ग के लिए नही है बल्कि पूरे भारतवासियों के हक में है जिससे समाज में बेवजह के तनाव समाप्त होंगे। क्षेत्रवासियों ने वर्षो से लंबित पडे राम मंदिर मुद्दे पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जनहित फैसले का स्वागत करते हुए इस पर राजनीति न करने बारे भी चर्चा की।

The final leg of the ‘2nd Justice A. S. Anand Mediation and Negotiation Competition, 2019, organised by the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University took place on Saturday. The day commenced with the Semi Final rounds, in which the Top 4 teams ranked highest in the Quarter Finals confronted each other in a forty- five minute mediation session. The rounds were graced by distinguished advocates and senior mediators of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The participating teams showcased their absolute best, and gave each other a run for their money.
The ‘Top 2’ teams qualified for the much awaited Finals and had the privilege to then compete in the presence of Honourable Justice Sudhir Mittal and Senior Advocate Atul Lakhanpal of Punjab and Haryana High Court. The proposition was based on an international dispute between the CEO’s of two leading technology companies of the world, along with their respective government authorities.The rounds were truly illustrative of the momentum that the field of arbitration and mediation has gained in today’s time. Bangalore won the ‘Best Negotiating Pair’ award and the mediator from Rayat Bahara University was adjudged the ‘Best Mediator’.
The valedictory ceremony was also marked by the launch of the book “on The Electoral System: Democracy, Laws and Issues” edited by Prof. Rattan Singh and Dr. Shruti Bedi, which was released by Justice Sudhir Mittal. The event was a great success and it helped promote the idea of mediation as an alternate remedy for dispute resolution, now and in the near future.

International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) -Asia Pacific Regional Committee (APRC) supported school on the theme ‘Blood-Brain-Barrier: From Basic Physiology to Neurological Disorders finally ended on a good note. The day started with an informative lecture from Prof. Sunit Kumar Singh, Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi. He talked about the epidemic of Japanese Encephalitis in Gorakhpur and also discussed the possible strategies that can inhibit the associated neuro-inflammatory conditions during the infection. He also highlighted the possible role of microRNAs as a treatment strategy for virus associated encephalitis.
Dr. Rajnish Kumar, faculty, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, talked about the possibility of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the research area of neuroscience. AI is a branch of computer science that we are using on daily basis on our mobile phones and this technology can be used for understanding neural connections. AI is used to create models and help in understanding brain and related disorders.
The day ended with a valedictory ceremony where participants expressed their heartfelt emotions and shared their experience of their stay in “The City Beautiful.” The IBRO School 2019 ended with the felicitation of participants by Prof. Rajat Sandhir and the organizing team.

Chandigarh, November 9:- Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, UT, Chandigarh today formally starts the two days Kirtan Samagam at Sector 34 in presence of Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Mayor, Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, MCC.
The two days Mega Kirtan Samagam is being organized by the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh to commemorate 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji on 9th and 10th November, 2019.
While addressing the gathering, Smt. Kher said that each section of society is spreading the eternal message Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji of peace and oneness of humanity. She appreciated the efforts of Municipal Corporation for organizing this function and said that the documentary based on the life and events of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji has been arranged beautifully to be showcased from 12 pm onward on both of the days.
The Mayor said that the MCC has arranged the documentaries based on Udaasis of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in four separate pandals to spread the real message of peace and oneness of humanity.

उपायुक्त एवं जिला रैड क्रोस समिती के अध्यक्ष मुकेश कुमार आहूजा के मार्ग निर्देशन में जिला रैड क्रोस के पांच दिवसीय जिला स्तरीय जूनियर रैड क्रॉस शिविर का समापन राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेक्टर-6 पंचकूला में हुआ ।
इस शिविर जिला शिक्षा अधिकारी श्री हरमिन्दर सिंह सैनी ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शिरकत की। कैम्प निदेशक रमेश चैधरी जिला प्रशिक्षण अधिकारी ने कहा कि इस शिविर का मुख्य उदेश्य स्वास्थ्य सेवा व मित्रता है। शिविर के दौरान प्रतिभगियों को प्राथमिक सहायता, गृह परिचर्या , रक्तदान, अंगदान, कन्या भ्रूण हत्या, नशा मुक्ति, मोबाइल का दुरुपयोग, एच् आई वी एड्स, सड़क सुरक्षा ,स्वछता , संक्रमित रोग इत्यादि विषयो की जानकारी दी गई। इस दौरान डॉक्टर उदिता बाल्याण ने एच् आई वी एड्स विषय की जानकारी दी। नीलम कौशिक प्राथमिक सहायता व गृह परिचर्या लेक्चरार ने बेसिक फर्स्ट एड की जानकारी के साथ महिला सशक्तिकरण व कन्या भ्रूण हत्या की भी जानकारी दी । डॉक्टर सरोज अग्रवाल डिप्टी सिविल सर्जन ने हेपेटाइटिस बी , सी व अन्य रोगों की जानकारी दी।
डॉक्टर पीयूष जैन ने स्वछता व दवाई देते समय सावधानी बरतने बारे जानकारी दी। डॉक्टर विशाल सैनी ने समाज को दी जा रही विभिन पेंशनो की जानकारी दी। इस शिविर के दौरान स्पीच कम्पटीशन व पैन्टिन्ग कंपीटिशन भी करवाया गया । जिसका परिणाम इस प्रकार रहा । स्पीच कंपीटिशन में मयंक प्रथम सार्थक राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेक्टर 12 ए दिव्तीय महक राजकीय कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय बरवाला, तृतीय दीपिका राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय बिटना तथा पैन्टिन्ग में प्रथम आरती राजकीय कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेक्टर 15, दिव्तीय मुकेश राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेक्टर 20 पंचकूला व तृतीय करण राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सेक्टर 6 पंचकूला । इन सभी विजेताओं को मुख्य अतिथि द्वारा स्मृति चिन्ह देकर सन्मानित किया गया । मुख्य अतिथि ने संबोधन में कहा की प्रतिभागियों को इस प्रकार के शिविरों में बढ़चढ़ कर भाग लेना चाहिए , ओर इस जानकारी का ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रचार प्रसार करें । श्रीमती नीलम कौशिक सामाजिक कायकर्ता को भी कैम्प बेहतर सेवाएं देने के लिए सन्मानित किया गया । कार्यक्रम के अंत मे कन्या भ्रूण हत्या न करने की शपथ भी ली गई ।

उपायुक्त ने कहा कि बुजुर्ग हमारे समाज की रीढ़ है। हम अपने जीवन में अपने बुजुर्गों से सीखते रहते हैं। आज के आधुनिकतावादी युग में बुजुर्गों को युवा कम महत्व दे रहे हैं जो चिंतनीय है। उन्होंने कहा कि बुजुर्ग घर की शान होते है, हमें सदेव बुजुर्गों के दिखाए रास्ते पर चलना चाहिए। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि बुजुर्गों की समस्याओं को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर निपटाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने भी वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के कल्याण के लिए अनेक योजनाएं लागू की है।
