Chandigarh, July 6:- The Town Vending Committee (TVC) has approved allotment of vacant sites to those vendors who are depositing their vending fee regularly and development of Model Vending Zones in 10 vending zones as per the proposal of Chief Architect, Chandigarh Administration.

This was decided in the 32nd meeting of TVC convened under the Chairpersonship of Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh-cum-Chairperson, Town Vending Committee here today and attended by other members of TVC namely Sh. Anish Garg, Sh. Ravinder Singh, Sh. Mukesh Giri, Mrs. Sabra and Mrs. Chanchal Rani.

The meeting was also attended by councilors of MCC as special invitees namely Smt. Anju Katyal, Sh. Manoj Sonkar, Smt. Nirmla, office bearers of Chandigarh Beyopar Mandal Sh. Charanjiv Singh, Sh. Sanjiv Chadha, Sh. Kailash Jain and Sh. Naresh Kumar alongwith other officers from SP Traffic, Chief Architect, UT, Chandigarh and Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh.

The Town Vending Committee also delegated the powers to Additional Commissioner/Joint Commissioner, MCC to cancel the licenses of the registered street vendors who are defaulters after following the due procedure as per Bye-Laws.

In case of Sector 42-C vending Zone, the TVC has approved to shift those registered street vendors who are selling cooked/fried non- vegetarian fast food to the proposed adjoining vending zones. It was also directed by the Chairperson TVC that Vendor Cell & Enforcement Wing will together track those registered street vendors of the same vending zone, who were allotted vending sites but not sitting at their allotted sites.

The Town Vending Committee has rejected the request of three vendors for change of category from ESP to NESP vendors in Sector 22, Chandigarh as it is beyond the purview of Bye-laws. In addition, Ex-Post-Facto approval was granted for allotment of vending site No. 87 to a person with disabilityin Sector 22, Chandigarh on humanitarian and compassionate ground by the Town Vending Committee.

The Town Vending Committee has taken a landmark decision for the socially marginalized community by approving the waiver of 25% in monthly street vending fee to the vendors who are transgender and living with HIV/AIDS.

Also, the Town Vending Committee has considered & approved the case pertaining to issuance of vending license to the wife of deceased Street vendor who was surveyed but died before his registration and also a case in addition to two cases of Persons with Disabilities on compassionate and humanitarian ground.

In order the curb the menace of mushrooming of unauthorized vending, the Town Vending Committee has approved the filing of criminal proceedings against unauthorized vendors through the area sub inspector of Enforcement Wing.She also directed the representatives of SSP Law Order to assist in enforcing unauthorized vending during late evening and night hours.

The Chairperson TVC urged the representatives of Street Vendors, Vyapar Mandal, Resident and Market Associations to support in making city clean and free from Single Use Plastic usage and zero waste free city and getting Chandigarh to secure prominent position in Swachh Sarvekshan 2023.

Chandigarh, July 6:- City Mayor Sh. Anup Gupta will represent Chandigarh in the Urban20 (U20) Mayoral Summit under India’s G20 presidency on 7-8 July scheduled to be held at Ahmedabad.

The Mayor has reached at Ahmedabad today evening for the summit.

While sharing about the summit, the Mayor said that the Summit will be attended by more than 70 Mayors from across the world and about 25 Mayors from Indian cities will share the experiences of their respective city level actions and initiatives. The summit will also be attended by delegates representing various cities, knowledge partners, Indian and international organizations, academic institutes and dignitaries from the Government of India and the State Government.

He said that U20 is a city diplomacy initiative, comprising cities from G20 countries, emphasizing the role of cities in taking forward the global agenda for sustainable development through collaboration among cities. Ahmedabad is the U20 Chair for the current sixth cycle and is supported by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA).

The Mayor further said besides the deliberations among Mayors, one of the highlights of the Mayoral Summit will be four thematic sessions focusing on U20 priorities. Six white papers focusing on the six U20 priorities will also be released in these sessions by the dignitaries. Another exclusive session for Mayors will be a round table on climate finance led by U20 Conveners, UCLG and C40 and the cities of Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Ahmedabad.

He further informed that spotlight sessions are scheduled during the Summit to focus on aspects of urban resilience, city readiness for investments, inclusion, circular economy and data driven governance, showcasing the research and works being undertaken by organizations in various cities across India and the world.

He said the event will also host an exhibition showcasing India’s urban story, especially city level successes, notable projects and innovative initiatives. There will also be a screening of select films to help raise awareness about the multifaceted impacts of climate change on urban areas and vice versa, he added.

श्री गुप्ता ने तेजस्वनी व उसके परिवार के सदस्यों के साथ काफी समय व्यतीत किया और उसके द्वारा कई गाए हुए भजनों को ध्यानपूर्वक सुना व उन भजनों की भूरी भूरी प्रशंसा की। श्री गुप्ता ने इस अवसर पर उसके पिता सुनील शर्मा व माता हर्ष शर्मा से तेजस्वनी के बारें में विस्तार से जानकारी ली।
इस अवसर पर पंचकूला के महापौर कुलभुषण गोयल भी उपस्थित थे।

हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने इस अवसर पर भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नौ साल बेमिसाल पर जनसंपर्क अभियान का भी शुभारंभ किया। उन्होने कहा कि भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ अभियान चलाया। आज बेटियां दुनिया में खेलों व अन्य क्षेत्रों में मैडल जीतकर भारत का नाम रोशन कर रही है। उनहोने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के यशस्वी नेतृत्व के बदौलत दुनिया भर में भारत की साख बढी है। भारत के युवा किसी भी देश में कार्य करते हों वो गर्व के साथ कहते हैं कि हम भारत के रहने वाले है। आज भारत 85 प्रतिशत मोबाईल का अपने ही देश में निर्माण कर रहा है और बडे बडे हथियार और हेल्किापटर का निर्माण भी भारत की धरती पर किया जा रहा है।


उन्होने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कठोर फैसला लेते हुए कश्मीर से धारा 370 एक झटके में खत्म करने का काम किया है।  आज कश्मीर में एक भी पत्थरबाज ढूंढने पर भी नही मिलता है और कश्मीर की जनता अमन चैन से रह रही है।


उन्होने कहा कि आयुष्मान कार्ड से गरीब लोगों को पांच लाख तक का मुफत ईलाज मिल रहा है। देश में बेहतरीन सडकें बनने से कनेक्टिविटी बढी है और भारत की अर्थव्यस्था को मजबूती मिली है। आज पूरी दूनिया भारत की और देख रही है। श्री गुप्ता ने आगे कहा कि ेवो दिन दूर नही जब आने वाला समय भारत का होगा और भारत दुनिया का सिरमौर बनेगा।

    सामुदायिक पुलिसिंग और आउटरीच कार्यक्रम के लिए मुख्यमंत्री के विशेष अधिकारी, श्री पंकज नैन आईपीएस ने आज इस संबंध में कार्यक्रम की जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल, अध्यक्ष हरियाणा विधानसभा श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता, और मेयर पंचकुला श्री कुलभूषण गोयल अपनी गरिमामयी उपस्थिति से इस अवसर की शोभा बढ़ाएंगे।

30th Mango Mela at Pinjore Garden: More than 300 mango varieties to be on display

Panchkula, July 6 – The 30th Mango Mela will be organized at the Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore from July 7 to 9. The three-day event, jointly organized by the Haryana Tourism Corporation, Horticulture Department, and district administration, will showcase more than 300 varieties of mangoes.


  During a press conference held at the Red Bishop Complex today, Managing Director of Haryana Tourism Corporation, Sh. Neeraj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Soni, and Director General of Horticulture Department, Dr. Arjun Saini, provided details about the event.


  Sh. Neeraj Kumar, MD of Tourism, informed that the fair will be inaugurated on July 7 by Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. Jai Parkash Dala. Speaker Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, will be the chief guest on July 8, and Tourism Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, will be the chief guest during the closing ceremony on July 9.
  Deputy Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Soni assured complete cooperation and informed that necessary guidelines had been given to district officials to make all arrangements during the fair. She mentioned that four parking areas had been designated for the event, and police officers were directed to ensure smooth traffic flow and proper parking for visitors. She also urged the citizens of Panchkula and nearby areas to bring their families and enjoy the fair.
On this occasion, a calendar of the event is also released.


  Director General of Horticulture Department, Dr. Arjun Saini provided information about the various activities and arrangements at the fair.


  It was informed that visitors will be treated with enthralling cultural performances, crafts bazaar and a multi-cuisine food court.  Competitions will also be organized for children, making the fair an enjoyable experience for all age groups. A large number of mango growers from across the country will participate in the fair and showcase their varieties of mangoes.
Over 4,000 entries of different mango varieties are likely to be received from mango growers from different states. Cultural programs, featuring renowned artists, will begin each day from 6:30 pm onwards. Notable performances include Navdeep Wadali (Indian Idol Fame) on July 7, H.P. Police orchestra on July 8, and Prabh Gill’s live performance on July 9.


  ADC Panchkula Varsha Khangwal, SDM Panchkula Mamta Sharma, SDM Kalka Ruchi Singh Bedi, City Magistrate Rajesh Punia, and other officers from the Tourism, Horticulture, and district administration were also present on this occasion.

पंचकूला 5 जुलाई- हरियाणा गौ सेवा आयोग के चेयरमैन श्रवण गर्ग की अध्यक्षता में हरियाणा गौ सेवा आयोग के कार्यालय में राज्य स्तरीय विशेष गौ सुरक्षा टास्क फोर्स की पांचवी बैठक का आयोजन हुआ।


बैठक में बेसहारा गोवंश प्रबंधन को लेकर आगामी परियोजनाओं पर विस्तार से चर्चा हुई ताकि गोवंश कल्याण की परियोजनाओं को बिना किसी बाधा के धरातल पर उतारा जा सके। बैठक का मुख्य उद्देश्य प्रदेश के बेसहारा गोवंश को सड़कों से मुक्त कर गौशालाओं में आश्रय मुहैया करवाना है। हरियाणा गोवंश संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन अधिनियम 2015 के नियमों को सख्ती से लागू कर गौ हत्या और गौ तस्करी के मामलों को रोकने के लिए आवश्यक नियमों में सजा के प्रावधान का निर्णय लिया गया और पड़ोसी राज्यों से गोवंश की आवाजाही को रोकने हेतु कड़े कदम उठाने पर चर्चा हुई।


बैठक में उपस्थित पशुपालन विभाग के अधिकारियों से सभी जिलों में बनी इंफर्मरियों व गौसदनों में बेसहारा गोवंश प्रबंधन की रिपोर्ट से गौ सेवा आयोग से सांझा करने के लिए कहा गया। बैठक के दौरान जिला स्तर पर स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स के सदस्यों के साथ जिला उपायुक्तों को नियमित बैठक करने तथा स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स के सदस्यों के पहचान पत्र बनवाने की मांग को दोहराया गया ताकि जिला स्तर पर ही गोवंश संबंधित समस्याओं का निपटान किया जा सके। बैठक के दौरान ही हरियाणा पुलिस विभाग द्वारा ईद के मौके पर की गई कार्यवाही की सराहना की।


इस मौके पर पूर्ण यादव लोहचब, उपाध्यक्ष हरियाणा गऊ सेवा आयोग राज्य स्तरीय विशेष कार्यबल निगरानी समिति के सभी संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

भारी बारिश के बीच उपायुक्त ने बाढ़ सुरक्षा उपायों का किया निरीक्षण

पंचकुला, 5 जुलाई- उपायुक्त डॉ. प्रियंका सोनी ने अधिकारियों के साथ बुधवार को जिले में बाढ़ बचाव प्रबंधों का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने जिले में विभिन्न स्थानों पर चल रहे बाढ़ बचाव कार्यों के बारे में मौके पर जाकर जानकारी हासिल की और अधिकारियों को आवश्यक निर्देश भी जारी किए।
    मानसून के दौरान भारी बारिश और बाढ़ जैसी स्थिति की संभावना को देखते हुए, उपायुक्त ने बाढ़ सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की जांच की और सिंचाई विभाग के अधिकारियों को संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में नदियों और नालों के किनारों को मजबूत करने का निर्देश दिया। इन उपायों का उद्देश्य किसी भी संभावित बाढ़ के प्रभाव को कम करना है।


    भारी बारिश के बीच दौरे के दौरान उपायुक्त ने सबसे पहले बुंगा-टिबी गांव के बीच बरसाती नदी पर 14 लाख रुपये की लागत से पूरा किये गये 3-स्तरीय स्टेनिंग कार्य का अवलोकन किया। इस निर्माण ने नदी के किनारे सड़क के कटाव को प्रभावी ढंग से रोका है और यह सुनिश्चित किया है कि भारी बारिश के कारण नदी के उफान से सड़क को कोई नुकसान न हो। इससे सड़क मार्ग से गुजरने वाले स्थानीय लोगों को फायदा होगा।


    इसके बाद डीसी और उनकी टीम ने बरौली गांव में बाढ़ सुरक्षा इंतजामों का निरीक्षण किया। भारी बारिश के बीच उन्होंने पुल के नीचे नवनिर्मित डबल टियर स्टेनिंग कार्य का अवलोकन किया और संबंधित अधिकारियों से जानकारी प्राप्त की। इस निर्माण कार्य पर 40 लाख रुपये की राशि खर्च की गयी है। इस निर्माण कार्य के पूरा होने से मानसून के दौरान बरोली गांव में श्मशान भूमि, घरों और कृषि भूमि की सुरक्षा हो सकेगी।


    बाढ़ सुरक्षा इंतजामों का आकलन करते हुए डॉ. प्रियंका सोनी ने जिले भर में छोटे-बड़े सभी आवश्यक कार्यों को शीघ्रता से पूरा करने की हिदायत दी।

MCC’s single use plastic free ‘Apni Mandi’ campaign gains momentum*

Chandigarh, July 5:- To promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the local market places, MCC has launched “Plastic Mukt Apni Mandi” campaign from Apni mandi, in sector 15 here today. Sh. Saurabh Joshi, area councilor and Master Arryan Madhu Chitkara, brand ambassador, Swachh Bharat Mission, Chandigarh accompanied by Sh. Gurinder Singh Sodhi, Joint Commissioner, MCC formally launched the campaign in the apni mandi.

Following the directions of Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, MCC permanent compostable bag stalls have been set up at the Apni Mandi entry point at sector 15. The brand ambassador and others created awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic items and to promote sustainable practices at the Apni Mandi.

To encourage the use of compostable bags and make them easily accessible to vendors and citizens alike, the MCC has also made available the compostable carry bags at reasonable rates by setting up stalls at Apni Mandis on a permanent basis. The aim is to encourage the use of compostable bags and make them easily accessible to vendors and citizens alike.

The area councilor, brand ambassador and other officials alongwith vendors and citizens also pledged for avoiding single use plastic items specially plastic bags while coming to purchase vegetables and fruits at Apni Mandis and market areas.

Earlier, the MCC has launched the SUP free Apni Mandi campaign at apni mandi, sector 45. Compostable bags have also been distributed and made vendors and citizens aware of the harmful effects of single-use plastic (SUP).

While sharing about the campaign, the Commissioner said that the MCC is committed to keeping the city single-use plastic-free, and the SUP free Apni Mandi campaign is a step in the right direction. She urged everyone to support this initiative and make a positive impact on the environment. The campaign is crucial towards creating a cleaner and greener environment for the city, and the MCC hopes to inspire other cities to adopt similar initiatives, she said.

The campaign has gained momentum in the city, with more vendors and citizens adopting sustainable practices and alternatives to SUP. MCC aims to make a significant impact on the environment and promote a greener future for the city.

Municipal Corporation has decided to make compostable bags available at each apni mandi and also intensify challaning so that the use of SUP is eliminated

पंचकूला, 4 जुलाई- अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त श्रीमति वर्षा खांगवाल ने आज सेक्टर 3 स्थित गांव देवी नगर के राजकीय मिडल स्कूल में पहुंचकर गांव के लोगों की समस्याएं सुनी और उन्होने पात्र लोगो की समस्याओ का जल्द ही निदान करने का आश्वासन दिया।


इस अवसर पर शिवालिक डेवलपमेंट बोर्ड के वाइस चेयरमैन चैधरी ओमप्रकाश देवी नगर भी विशेष रूप से उपस्थित थे।


अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने ग्रामीणों की पीले राशन कार्ड, आई डी में त्रुटी दूर करने, पैंशन, आधार कार्ड से संबंधित समस्याओं को ध्यान से सुना। उन्होने बताया कि जल्द ही सभी समस्याओं का निवारण किया जाएगा। अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने ग्रामीणों को हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा चलाई जा रही कल्याणकारी योजनाओं के बारें में विस्तार से बताया। उन्होने कहा कि इन योजनाओं का उदेश्य  ग्रामीणों की भलाई एवं उनको रोजगार एवं स्वरोजगार के अवसर प्रदान करना है। एडीसी  ने सभी ग्रामीणों से सरकार की जनकल्याणकारी योजनाओं का लाभ उठाने की अपील की।


शिवालिक डेवलपमेंट बोर्ड के वाइस चेयरमैन चैधरी ओमप्रकाश देवीनगर बताया कि हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल का जिला पंचकूला पर विशेष फोकस है और इसके विकास के लिए सरकार ने 5000 करोड के विकास कार्य करवाए हैं। श्री देवीनगर ने लोगों को सरकार की कल्याणकारी योजनाओं के बारे में विस्तार से अवगत करवाया । वाइस चेयरमैन ने अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त श्रीमति वर्षा खांगवाल का सबकी तरफ से स्वागत व धन्यवाद किया।


इस अवसर पर राजकीय मिडल स्कूल की मुख्य अध्यापिका सुनीता कुमारी, गांव के लाला नारायण दास, संदीप सिंह व दर्शन सहित अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति मौजूद थे।
