Today on 5th September 2020 at the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies organised a programme Role of Guru & NEP 2020’ at Google Meet. Research Scholars, students of the Department and a few alumni remained associated with the programme and they explained India’s Guru-Shishya Tradition and significant role of Teacher in students life and also its relevance in context of NEP 2020.
Prof. Jaspal Kaur Kaang, Academic Incharge of Dept. welcomed alumni Dr. Kamaljit Kaur from SD College Hoshiarpur, Dr. Amardip Kaur from MCM DAV College Chandigarh, Dr. Rajpreet Kaur from A.S. College Khanna and Dr. Puneet Kaur from Khalsa College Mohali. All alumni shared their research experiences and old memories spent in the Dept. of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies. Prof. Jaspal Kaur Kaang remembered the senior Professors and Chairpersons who contributed a lot in making the high esteem of the Department and Who also played an important role to take the legacy of the Department ahead. Dr. Kaang expressed her respect and pride in remembering Prof. Gurubachan Singh Talib founder of the department, Prof. H. S. Shan, Prof. Darshan Singh and Prof. Santosh Sharma and other officiating chairmen of the department from time to time. She paid special homage to Prof. Darshan Singh and Prof. Shankar Ji Jha in her address. मंगलवार तक नई उद्योग नीति के लिए भेजें अपने सुझाव-दुष्यंत चौटाला
हरियाणा के डिप्टी सीएम दुष्यंत चौटाला ने कहा कि प्रदेश में उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार एक श्रेष्ठ औद्योगिक नीति के प्रारूप को अंतिम रूप देने में जुटी है। नई उद्योग नीति उद्योगपतियों के हितों के लिए हितकारी हो, प्रदेश में निवेश बढ़े, उद्योगपतियों को अधिक से अधिक सुविधाएं मिले, इसके लिए प्रदेश के सभी सांसदों,विधायकों, विभिन्न सरकारी विभागों, उद्योगपतियों सहित उद्योग जगत से जुड़ी संस्थाओं के सुझावों को भी शामिल किया जाएगा। उन्हें अपने सुझाव देने के लिए मंगलवार तक का समय दिया गया है। चंडीगढ़ में हरियाणा निवास पर विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारियों के साथ मेराथन बैठक के बाद डिप्टी सीएम दुष्यंत चौटाला मीडिया से रूबरू हो रहे थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि इस ‘हरियाणा इंटरप्राइजिज प्रमोशन पॉलिसी-2020Ó को अंतिम रूप देने के लिए बैठकों का दौर चल रहा है। आज हुई बैठक में भी नई उद्योग नीति को लागू करने के लिए विभिन्न विभागों के उच्च अधिकारियों से विस्तार पूर्वक चर्चा की है।
दुष्यंत चौटाला ने कहा कि प्रदेश में उद्योगों के लिए और अधिक माकुल माहौल उपलब्ध के लिए प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा 2020 से 2025 तक की नई उद्योग नीति बनाई जा रही है जिसे अगले माह तक लागू किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि सरकार की ओर से विधायकों, सांसदों और प्रदेश की सभी औद्योगिक एसोसिएशनों के साथ-साथ फिक्की, एसोचैम जैसी राष्ट्रीय स्तर की औद्योगिक एसोसिएशनों से 8 सितंबर तक अपने सुझाव देने के लिएआग्रह किया गया है।
डिप्टी सीएम ने कहा कि प्राथमिकता के तौर सरकार का उद्देश्य है कि प्रदेश में खासतौर पर थ्रस्ट सेक्टर के साथ-साथ आयात करने से जुड़ी यूनिटों को अपने राज्य में ही स्थापित किया जाए और सरकार नई उद्योग नीति मे ंइस पर पूर फोकस कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस नई पॉलिसी के जरिए हरियाणा में इसी तरह के उत्पादन को बढ़ावा दिया जाएगा ताकि आयात को कम से कम करके निर्यात को बढ़ाया जा सके। उपमुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला ने बताया कि हरियाणा देश का पहला ऐसा राज्य होगा जो ऐरो-स्पेस और एविएशन को भी थ्रस्ट सेक्टर के तौर पर फोक्स करके अपनी नई उद्योग नीति में आगे लेकर जाने का काम कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि हिसार में हवाई अड्डा प्रोजेक्ट पर बीेजेपी-जेजेपी गठबंधन सरकार तेजी से काम कर रही है।
उन्होंने मेडिकल टेक्नोलॉजी से जुड़े बल्क ड्रग्स पार्क का जिक्र करते हुए कहा कि हरियाणा उन अग्रणी राज्यों में से होगा जो अपने सभी 22 जिलों को विभिन्न क्लस्टरों में बांटकर औद्योगिक इकाइयों को आगे लेकर आने का काम कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार का प्रयास है कि इसी तरह ज्यादा से ज्यादा औद्योगिक इकाइयों को जोड़ा जाएगा और प्रदेश सरकार फैक्ट्रियों को क्लस्टर एप्रोच के साथ जोडऩे पर उन्हें अतिरिक्त लाभ देगी।

पंचकूला 4 सितम्बर – जिला आयुर्वेदिक अधिकारी डा. दलीप मिश्रा ने बताया कि कोविड केयर सैन्टर में कोरोना मरीजों को आॅनलाइन योगा तथा काउन्सलिंग आयुष चिकित्सकों के माध्यम से करवाई जा रही है ताकि रोगी मानसिक रूप से सशक्त एवं मजबूत रह सके।
डा. मिश्रा ने बताया कि रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता को बढाने के लिए आयुष क्वाथ व घुडुची घनवटी का वितरण आयुष विभाग की टीमों के द्वारा केनटेंन्मैंट जोन मे किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि जिला के विभिन्न गांवों एवं सैक्टरों के 62 कंटेनमेंट जोन में गठित कमेटियों ने आयुष गोलियां बांटने का कार्य किया।
उन्होंने बताया कि कोरोना वैश्विक महामारी के चलते पंचकूला में कोरोना के बढते हुए प्रभाव को देखते हुए, आयुष विभाग द्वारा कन्टेनमेन्ट जोन में सक्रमंण्.ा को रोकने के लिए त्वरित गति से रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता बढाने वाली दवाईयों का वितरण करवा जा रहा है।
डा. मिश्रा ने बताया कि आयुष क्वाथ जिसमें दालचीनी, सोठ, कालीमीर्च तथा तुलसी हैं, लोगो को काढ़ा बनाकर पीने के लिए बताया जा रहा है। इसके अलावा गिलोय की टेबलेट भी बांटी जा रही है। इसी क्रम में कोरोना से बचाव हेतु चिकित्सकों द्वारा गरम पानी का सेवन तथा पुदीने का भाप लेने को भी बताया जा रहा है। घर से बाहर जाने पर मास्क लगाने तथा दो गज की दूरी बना, रखने हेतू जागरूक किया जा रहा है।

पंचकूला 4 सितम्बर – बिजली हादसों को पूर्णतय रोकने के लिए हर माह की पहली तारीख को तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को जागरूक किया जाता है। तकनीकी कर्मचारी बिजली दुर्घटनाओं से कैसे बचें, उसके लिए एक बुकलेट भी बनाई गई है। जिसमें बिजली दुर्घटनाओं से बचने संबंधी दिशा निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं।
बिजली निगमों के सीएमडी शत्रुजीत कपूर ने कहा कि बिजली लाइनों पर कार्य करने के लिए परमिट सिर्फ निगम के एसडीओ ऑपरेशन द्वारा अधिकृत कर्मचारी को ही दिया जाएगा। समझाया जाता है कि सुरक्षित होकर काम कीजिए, अपने परिवार का ख्याल कीजिए। सुरक्षा उपकरणों का प्रयोग एसडीओ ऑपरेशन द्वारा अधिकृत कर्मचारियों का नाम उनका रजिस्टर्ड व्हाट्सएप्प मोबाइल नंबर, उनका कार्यक्षेत्र एरिया आफिस आदेश के साथ सभी सब-स्टेशनों में तथा कर्मचारियों को उपलब्ध करवाया जाए। रूटिन के रख-रखाव कार्यों के परमिट लेने के लिए अधिकृत कर्मचारी का सब स्टेशन जाकर परमिट लेना अनिवार्य है। एमरजेंसी के दौरान अधिकृत कर्मचारी द्वारा व्हाट्सएप्प के माध्यम से सब-स्टेशन इंचार्ज को भरे हुए परमिट फार्म की फोटो भेजकर और वह सब-स्टेशन इंचार्ज को फोन भी करेगा। इस बुकलेट में यह भी बताया गया है कि एसडीओ ऑपरेशन ऐसी अवैध इमारतों की पहचान करके सूची तैयार करेगा, जहां अवैध निर्माण के कारण बिजली हादसों का खतरा अधिक है।
उन्होंने बताया कि तकनीकी कर्मचारियों की सुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता दी गई है। निगमों की तरफ से बिजली दुर्घटनाओं से बचने के लिए किसानों को भी जागरूक करने के लिए एक पुस्तिका तैयार की जा रही है, जो किसानों को जल्द उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को निर्बाध एवं सुचारू रूप से बिजली मिले उसके लिए निगम वचनबद्ध है।

पंचकूला 4 सितंबर – हरियाणा के बिजली वितरण निगमों-उत्तर हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम (यूएचबीवीएन) और दक्षिण हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम (डीएचबीवीएन) के तकनीकी कर्मचारियों की सुरक्षा के लिए निगम पूरी तरह से कृतसंकल्प और प्रतिबद्ध है। इसी के चलते निगम के तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानक की सुरक्षा किट उपलब्ध करवाई गई है। जिसका परिणाम है कि गत दो वर्षों में बिजली हादसों में भारी कमी आई है।
बिजली निगमों के सीएमडी शत्रुजीत कपूर ने बताया कि यूएचबीवीएन के तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को उच्च गुणवत्ता के 9000 दस्ताने, 18450 वोल्टेज सेंसर, 525 सीढियां, 14750 ब्रेकडाउन किट तथा 18450 हैलमेट उपलब्ध कराए हैं। यह उपकरण तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को लाइन पर काम करते वक्त करंट से बचाते हैं। इस किट में वोल्टेज सेंसर वाले हैलमेट भी शामिल हैं जो कि 11 केवी लाइन के करंट को 6 फिट की दूरी से बता देते हैं। बिजली के पोलों पर चढने के लिए तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को फाइबर रेनफोर्सड प्लास्टिक (एफआरपी) से बनी सीढियां भी उपलब्ध कराई गई हैं, जो तार से सटे होने पर भी टेक्रिकल कर्मचारी को करंट से बचाती हैं। तकनीकी कर्मचारी को उच्च गुणवत्ता की सेफ्टी बेल्ट भी दी गई है ताकि सुरक्षित तरीके से बिजली के कार्य की मेनटेंस कर सकें।
निगमों के प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि इसी वजह से जिला यमुनानगर में गत 4 माह में एक भी हादसा नहीं हुआ, यूएचबीवीएन की गुहला डिविजन में भी गत एक वर्ष में कोई बिजली दुर्घटना नहीं हुई। यूएचबीवीएन की 39 सब डिवीजन ऐसी हैं जहां पिछले एक वर्ष में एक भी दुर्घटना बिजली लाईन पर नहीं हुई।

पंचकूला 4 सितम्बर – उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि जिला में किसानों की सुविधा के लिए मेरी फसल मेरा ब्यौरा के तहत पंजीकरण करने की तिथि 7 सितम्बर तक बढा दी गई है। किसानों के लिए यह स्वर्णिम एवं अंतिम अवसर है, इसलिए इस योजना में अपनी फसलों का पंजीकरण अवश्य करवा लेना चाहिए।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि किसानों के लिए यह सरकार की अतिमहत्वपुर्ण एवं कारगर योजना है जिसके तहत पंजीकृत किसानों को भविष्य में कृषि से सम्बन्धित सभी योजनाओं का लाभ दिया जाएगा। इसके लिए किसान पंजीकरण के लिए अपने नजदीकी काॅमन सर्विस सैन्टर या कृषि अधिकारी से सम्पर्क कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि किसानों के लिए सरकार द्वारा चलाई जा रही सभी योजनाओ ंका लाभ प्राप्त करने के लिए पंजीकरण करवाना अनिवार्य है। इनमें फसल बिक्री, कृषि यन्त्रों पर सब्सिडी प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना इत्यादि का लाभ शामिल है। उन्होंने बताया कि भविष्य में केवल पंजीकृत किसानों को ही सरकार की इन योजनाओं का लाभ दिया जाएगा।

Dr. Ashok Kumar, Chairperson from Centre of Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, Panjab University studied the binding potential of approximately 50 phytochemicals present in multiple natural plant extracts that are capable of inhibiting virus replication. Phytochemicals are compounds that are produced by plants. They are found in fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and other parts of plants. Some of these phytochemicals are believed to protect us from pathogenic attacks. Herbal extracts are full of phytochemicals. This Research published in Journal Phytomedicine having title “Identification of phytochemicals as potential therapeutic agents that binds to Nsp15 protein target of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that is capable of inhibiting virus replication”. This Reputed international Journal has an impact factor of 4.26. Dr. Ashok Kumar did this research in collaboration with Dr. Suresh Kumar from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
A Webinar on New Education Policy: A roadmap for Engineering Education was organized by UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh ,today. The event commenced with an introductory message by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor who has been associated with NEP since the beginning and also gave inputs in the framing of NEP. PU VC also gave some optimistic insight into the fact that although pandemic is a curse, it has certainly given the opportunity of development to domains like engineering and medicine.
Subsequently Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi,Director PEC spoke about the aspects of New Education Policy related to higher education. He cited the chapters from New Education Policy that are related to higher education. He talked about the aspect of multidisciplinary education. In the curriculum, there should be interdisciplinary courses. There should be more flexibility in the courses chosen by the students i.e. more elective courses should be offered to the students.
Prof.Sanghi pointed out that it is very natural that the minds of students, as well as faculties, will resist these changes that this policy demands but we need to overcome this resistance. The NEP caters to the major problem that the college students face about not knowing exactly what they want to study in college or what are their interests. The provision of Dual Major will be provided i.e. one person having computer science engineering shall be allowed to opt for psychology also. It was also discussed as to how important it is to make a robust lateral entry system if we want to implement the NEP in a good way.
Prof.Sanghi also pointed to the fact that the policy gives the flexibility to the universities to implement the changes recommended at a time they find appropriate i.e. either from this batch or from the next session. He also talked about Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) which will be established to digitally store the academic credits earned from various recognised higher educational institutes so that the credits earned in the previous years can be awarded after entering into the programme again. With this ABC, the fear of wastage of years is avoided.
Continuous evaluation will be there rather than having one major exam at the end of the semester which has almost 70 % of credit or marks. He also added that tenure track recruitment should be there for faculties in which the teaching ability of the teacher will be evaluated after every 5-6 years. He then talked about the use of technology through online and digital courses. He talked about a big caveat of NEP which states that the quality of the online courses should be as good as the best on-campus programme of the higher educational institution. He said that such a scenario is not possible in the present situation and can only be made possible after approximately 10 years from now. More than 40% of courses shall be offered online to reduce the teaching load that will also provide an ample amount of time to the faculty for research work. He also discussed Faculty development programmes that should be conducted more frequently. Employability will automatically improve if a good batch of students graduate as industry will be interested to recruit them.
