पंचकूला 22 जनवरी – उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि बिजली वितरण निगमों ने उपभोक्ताओं की सुविधा के लिए मिस्ड काॅल अलर्ट सर्विस शुरू की गई है। जिसके तहत उपभोक्ता को अपने रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल से मिस्ड काॅल करने पर मैसेज के माध्यम से एक लिंक प्राप्त होगा, जिस पर क्लिक करके उपभोक्ता अपना बिजली बिल डाउनलोड व भुगतान कर सकते हैं।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि बिजली निगम ने उत्तर हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम के उपभोक्ता अपने रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल नंबर से 70870-19636 नंबर पर मिस्ड काॅल देकर अपने बिजली बिल से संबंधित सूचना प्राप्त कर आॅनलाईन माध्यम से सीधे बिजली बिल का भुगतान कर सकते हैं। मिस्ड काॅल की सुविधा का लाभ लेने के लिए उपभोक्ताओं का मोबाइल नंबर बिजली मीटर एकाउंट से जुड़ा होना चाहिए। इसके अलावा उपभोक्ता अपना मोबाइल नंबर व आधार अपडेट कर सकते हैं। नंबर भी
उन्होंने आगे बताया कि बिजली निगम की ओर से दी जाने वाली सब्सिडी और मिस्ड काॅल अलर्ट सुविधा प्राप्त करने से पहले बिजली उपभोक्ता को आधार अपडेट करवाना होगा तभी उपभोक्ता को सरकार की ओर से दी जा रही सब्सिडी का लाभ मिलेगा। इस सुविधा से उपभोक्ताओं को अब बिजली बिल के लिए मीटर रीडर और बिल डिलिवरी का इंतजार नहीं करना होगा।
उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम पंचकूला शहर के स्मार्ट मीटर उपभोक्ताओं के लिए 26 नवम्बर, 2020 से प्रीपेड बिलिंग की सुविधा भी शुरू की है। प्री-पेड कनैक्शन लेने के लिए उपभोक्ता को किसी भी प्रकार की सिक्योरिटी जमा नहीं करवानी पड़ेगी। उपभोक्ताओं को महीने के मौजूदा बिजली बिल पर नियमानुसार 5 प्रतिशत की छूट मिलेगी तथा मीटर रीडिंग का झंझट भी खत्म होगा। उपभोक्ता मोबाईल ऐप के माध्यम से अपने अकाउंट बैलेंस को चैक कर सकते हैं जिसके लिए प्ले स्टोर ऐप स्टोर से UHBVN Smart Meter मोबाइल ऐप डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि बिजली वितरण निगम वैश्विक कोरोना महामारी के काल में उपभोक्ताओं को घर बैठे बिजली बिल से संबंधित सूचना उपलब्ध करवाने व सामाजिक दूरी बनाए रखने के लिए प्रदेश के बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को निर्बाध एवं सुचारू रूप से बिजली सप्लाई उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हंै।

In the unprecedented situation due to COVID-19, first ever online alumni meet was organized by the Department of Zoology, Panjab University Chandigarh today on 21st January, 2021 as part of PU Annual Global Alumni Meet being held from January 18 to 23, 2021. The meet was attended by about 150 alumni of the department.
Dr Ravneet Kaur, Co-ordinator, introduced the event and Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Chairperson, Department of Zoology and convenor of the meet welcomed the distinguished guests and alumni in this online event. Prof Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University in his address welcomed the alumni and stressed on the importance of collaborations between different alumni, who are serving in different parts of the world. He also suggested that department of zoology should keep in record the contributions and ideas from various alumni, which will help in the growth of the department as well as Panjab University. Memorial tributes were paid to renowned alumni of Zoology Department, Prof Hans Raj Pajni (Entomologist), Prof Mohinder Singh Johal (Fish Biologist) and Prof. Suraj Prakash Sharma (Insect Gerontology, Neurobiology), during the event by Prof Neelima R Kumar.
Prof RC Sobti (Padma Shri Awardee), former Vice Chancellor, Panjab University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University talked about the journey of Zoology department from past to present. Prof. Anupama Sharma, Dean Alumni Relations, Panjab University also welcomed the alumni and praised the efforts of alumni in the development and growth of society.
Six eminent alumni of the department Mr. Shambu Dutt Sharma (Retd. IAS), Prof. Avinash Kumar Chawla (Former Vice Chancellor Kurukshetra University and working president of SCC Haryana), Prof Veena Tandon (Padma Shri Awardee and Parasitologist), Prof. Madan Lal Sareen (Histopathologist), Prof. Sudarshan Chaudhary (Cytogeneticist) and Prof. Ajit Sodhi (Biotechnologist) were conferred Distinguished Alumnus Award by the Panjab University Alumni Association and department of Zoology. Award ceremony was followed by interaction among the participants of the meet.

Renowned alumna of the department Ms. Mamta Bansal, IRS (Income Tax Commissioner, Mumbai) delivered the motivational talk during the event. पंचकूला 21 जनवरी- उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि राज्य स्तरीय गणतन्त्र दिवस समारोह में 26 जनवरी को सैक्टर 5 स्थित परेड ग्राउण्ड में हरियाणा के राज्यपाल सत्यदेव नारायण आर्य ध्वजारोहण करेंगे और मार्च पास्ट की सलामी लेंगे।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि गणतन्त्र दिवस समारोह पर राज्यपाल सैक्टर 12 ए स्थित शहीद स्मारक पर शहीदों एवं स्वतन्त्रता सेनानियों को श्रद्वासुमन अर्पित करेंगें। इसके बाद परेड ग्राउण्ड में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराएगें। इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन द्वारा तैयारियां की जा रही है। परेड ग्राउण्ड में सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों एवं परेड की रिहर्सल आयोजित की गई।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों एवं परेड की लगातार 22 व 23 जनवरी को रिहर्सल करवाई जाएगी तथा 24 जनवरी को फाईनल रिहर्सल का आयोजन किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि फाईनल रिहर्सल में सभी प्रतिभागी हुबहु फुल ड्रैस एवं निर्धारित समय पर प्रातः 9.58 बजे भाग लेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों में विभिन्न स्कूलों के लगभग 150 छात्र पीटी शो एवं डम्बल का शानदार प्रदर्शन करेंगें। इसके अलावा स्कूली विद्यार्थियों द्वारा योगा प्रस्तुति दी जाएगी। कार्यक्रम में सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग द्वारा हरियाणवी एवं राष्ट्रीय संस्कृति से ओपप्रोत हरियाणवी डांस, संस्कृति माॅडल स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा ग्रुप सांॅग, राजकीय कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सैक्टर 6 के विद्यार्थियांे द्वारा पड़ौसी राज्य का गिद्वा प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सैक्टर 7 के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा कोरोना वायरस को लेकर एक्शन प्ले प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा तथा राजकीय कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सैक्टर 15 की छात्राएं राजस्थानी नृत्य तथा राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय सैक्टर 19 के विद्यार्थी हरियाणवी गीत की प्रस्तुति देंगी।

पंचकूला, 21 जनवरी। उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि हरियाणा सरकार के आदेशानुसार नागरिकों के लिए कलेक्टर रेट पर दावें व आपत्तियां दर्ज करवाने की समय सीमा को बढ़ाया गया है। अब कोई भी नागरिक जिला के लिए निर्धारित किए गए कलेक्टर रेट पर आगामी 31 जनवरी तक अपने दावें व आपत्तियां दर्ज करवा सकते हैं। इससे पहले कलेक्टर रेट पर दावें व आपत्तियां दर्ज करवाने के लिए 15 जनवरी 2021 निर्धारित की गई थी।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि सरकार ने कलैक्टर रेट निर्धारण करने के लिए नागरिकों के सुझाव एवं आपतिंयो हेतू जनजागरण अभियान की शुरूआत की है ताकि जनता के अमूल्य सहयोग से जिला में पारदर्शिता व सुशासन को अधिक बल मिल सके। इसके लिए सरकार की जारी गाइडलाइन और हिदायतोंनुसार नई प्रणाली के तहत जिला में भूमि के कलेक्टर रेट निर्धारित किए गए है। कलेक्टर रेट के निर्धारण के बाद प्रस्तावित सूची जिला पंचकूला panchkula.nic.in के पोर्टल पर भी डाली गई। इसके अलावा तहसीलों में भी यह सूची नागरिकों के लिए रखी गई। नागरिक पंचकूला पोर्टल पर लिखित या जिला सचिवालय के कमरा न0 325 में दस्ती भिजवाना सुनिश्चित करें।
उपायुक्त ने पंचकूला व कालका के एसडीएम को नम्बरदारों के ग्रुप के माध्यम से तथा संबधित तहसीलदारों को पटवारियों के माध्यम, जिला विकास एवं पंचायत अधिकारी को सरंपचों व चैकीदारों के माध्यम से सुझाव एवं आपतियां दर्ज करवाने के लिए प्रेरित करने के निर्देश दिए गए है।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि कलेक्टर रेट निर्धारित करने के लिए एक कमेटी का गठन सचिव नगर निगम, तहसीलदार व संबंधित एसडीएम द्वारा किया गया। इसके उपरांत अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त व उपायुक्त स्तर पर भी इसका मूल्यांकन कर अंतिम रूप दिया गया है। गांवों और कॉलोनियों के स्तर पर ये कलेक्टर रेट निर्धारित किए गए है। उन्होंने बताया कि कलेक्टर रेट पर प्राप्त होने वाले दावें व आपत्तियों का निपटान आगामी 15 फरवरी तक किया जाएगा। उसके उपरांत यह सूची सरकार को अंतिम रूप के लिए भेजी जाएगी ओर आगामी एक अप्रैल 2021 से नये कलेक्टर रेट क्रियांवित किए जाएंगे।

पंचकूला 21 जनवरी- उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने बताया कि जिला में किसानों के लिए मेरी फसल मेरा ब्यौरा स्कीम की भांति हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा मेरी फसल मेरा ब्यौरा पोर्टल की शुरूआत की गई है जिसके तहत किसानों को रबी 2020-21 में बोई गई फसलों का विवरण मेरी फसल मेरा ब्यौरा पोर्टल (fasal.haryana.gov.in) पर दर्ज करवाना होगा।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि सरकार की अति महत्वपुर्ण स्कीम हैं जिसके तहत किसानों द्वारा अपने कृषि उत्पादों को मण्डियों में बेचने एंव कृषि या बागवानी विभाग से सम्बन्धित योजनाओं का लाभ उठाने हेतू अपनी फसलांे का पंजीकरण मेरी फसल मेरा ब्यौरा में करवाना अनिवार्य है। उन्होंने बताया कि पंजीकरण के लिए किसान अपने नजदीकी काॅमन सर्विस सैन्टर या कृषि अधिकारी से सम्पर्क कर सकते हैं।
उपायुक्त ने बताया कि सरकार द्वारा चलाई जा रही सभी योजनाओं का लाभ प्राप्त करने के लिए जैसे कि फसल बिक्री, कृषि यन्त्रों पर सब्सिडी प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना इत्यादि का लाभ केवल इस पोर्टल पर पंजीकृत किसानों को ही दिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा रबी 2020-21 मंे बोई गई फसलों की खरीद भी इस योजना के तहत की जाएगी। इसलिए किसानों द्वारा इस पोर्टल पर अपना पंजीकरण करवाना अनिवार्य है चाहे वो अपनी फसल मण्डी में बेचना चाहते हैं या नही चाहते हो। किसानों के लिए अपनी फसलों के पंजीकरण हेतू परिवार पहचान पत्र का होना अनिवार्य है।
पंचकूला 20 जनवरी- नगर निगम पंचकूला के महापौर कुलभूषण गोयल ने सैक्टर 14 स्थित निगम कार्यालय के प्रांगण में सफाई कर्मचारियों को सफाई मित्र कार्यक्रम में कोविड -19 महामारी के मध्येनजर सुरक्षा किट वितरित किए। इस कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता निगम आयुक्त आर के सिंह ने की।
इस अवसर पर महापौर ने सफाई मित्रों का मनोबल बढाते हुए कहा कि शहर में सफाई व्यवस्था बनाए रखने में इनकी अहम भूमिका है। सफाई व्यवस्था बनाए रखने को लेकर किए जा रहे सार्थक प्रयासो से स्वच्छ भारत मिषन 2021 में पंचकूला अवश्य ही पहले स्थान पर आएगा। उन्होंने सफाई मित्र व निगम अधिकारियों को परामर्श देते हुए कहा कि स्वच्छता अभियान को जनआन्दोलन का रूप दें। क्योंकि जनता की भागीदारी के बिना किसी लक्ष्य को हासिल नहीं किया जा सकता। उन्होंने कहा कि जनता की भागीदारी आवश्यक है तभी वांछित मुकाम हासिल किया जा सकता है।
उन्होंने कहा कि जिला के गांव झुरीवाला में ठोस कचरा प्रबंधन प्लांट लगाने का कार्य किया जा रहा है। इसके टैण्डर लगाए गए हैं। इसे प्राथमिकता के आधार पर पूरा कर शीघ्र ही कचरा प्रबंधन कार्य आरम्भ किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि सैक्टर 23 के डम्पिंग ग्राउण्ड से प्रतिदिन 600 टन कूड़ा कचरा साफ किया जा रहा है। इस प्रकार कचरे को समाप्त कर शीघ्र ही इस स्थान भव्य एवं सुन्दर पार्क का निर्माण किया जाएगा। इस मौके पर निगम आयुक्त आर के सिंह ने कहा कि भारत सरकार द्वारा सफाई सुरक्षा चैलंेजर 19 योजना नवम्बर माह से लागू की गई है। इसकेे अलावा नागरिक सुरक्षा टोल फ्री नम्बर लागू करने दिशा में पंचकूला नगर निगम देश के 12 शहरों मे पहले स्थान पर है। आगामी 15 अगस्त तक इसके सार्थक परिणाम सामने आएगें। उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त की कि हम सभी के सहयोग से निगम को बेहतर बनाने का कार्य करेंगें।

The seven day online Faculty Development Program on the theme ‘Effective Communication in the Digital Era’ organized by HRDC, Panjab University concluded today. The course was attended by 36 participants representing 22 disciplines including sciences, social sciences, humanities and eight states including Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Assam, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chandigarh. Prof. Nandita Singh, from Dept of Education, PU was the key note speaker and Prof. S.K. Tomar, honorary Director, HRDC, PU was the chief guest for the occasion.
Prof. Tomar spoke about the significance of effective communication as he compared communication to the respiratory system essential for human survival. He also pointed out the importance of precision and logic in making communication effective. Prof. Singh brought in the component of consciousness in making communication effective in the digital era. Recipient of the Heartfulness Educator Award 2020, Prof. Singh explained how mind and heart play a significant role in making communication effective in this digital era. Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti, Course Coordinator and Assistant Professor, School of Communication Studies, presented the report of the FDP and informed that 20 resource persons from various parts of the country and abroad conducted sessions on diverse aspects of effective digital communications. These included sessions on digital communication skills, fact checking in the digital content, online tools for digital classrooms, Digital storytelling, Media and Empathy, Digital Era and Mental Health to name a few. Prof. Jayanti Dutta, Deputy Director, HRDC, PU spoke to the participants about the challenges and advantages of online training programs.
The valedictory session of the program also saw participants presenting their feedback for the program.

Nearly 70 Alumni of the University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development (UIFT & VD), Panjab University participated in the first of its kind Virtual “Reconnect 2021” Meet hosted by the institute.
Two former students, Surbhi Singla, a leading model who has walked the ramp for leading brands and fashion designers, and Anupreet Sidhu, who runs her fashion label ‘Sidhuji’, were awarded at the virtual Meet.
“It is due to all teachers’ support that I reached this position. Sometimes I had to miss classes to walk the ramp or to receive an award; it was because the UIFT family understood me that I could do something,” said Surbhi.
Manisha Dhiman, a budding entrepreneur who has launched her own handicrafts’ brand, ‘Kalakari,’ was also a part of the Reconnect, where she shared her success story. “I wanted to make crafts merchandise that was durable. Other handicrafts that I used to see had this aspect missing. I began taking feedback of my first products from hostel friends and department faculty,” she said. Margee Sharma, an upcoming blogger who has worked with leading brands, was also a part of the Meet and shared her journey.
Dr. Anu H. Gupta, Chairperson UIFT & VD warmly welcomed the former students and was reminiscent of the old days. “We had a humble beginning of U.I.F.T. with just five rooms in the old building. Gradually with the support of university administration, the alumni, faculty, and students, we have progressed leaps and bounds. We have hosted national and international events, and we aim to set higher benchmarks,” she said.
‘Reconnect’ Convenor Dr. Rita Kant took friendly feedback from the alumni on their current pursuits and plans. “It is a great feeling to see the former students’ back-all on one platform. I am sure this Reconnect will benefit the institute in many ways,” she added.
A novel initiative was announced at the ‘Reconnect 2021’ by the Chairperson- to commence a special lecture series-cum-regular interaction of ‘Alumni’ with the department’s current students.

Stroke is one of the most common causes of mortality and handicap in the elderly population but miracles do happen: Dr. Amit Shankar Singh
A 73-year elderly male patient Mr. Gian Chand from Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh (HP) reached Fortis Hospital Mohali with a history of headache for the last 4 days and inability to speak since morning. The patient was evaluated in detail by Associate Consultant Neurology, Fortis Hospital, Mohali Dr. Amit Shankar Singh. On diagnosis, it was found that the patient had Aphasia (inability to speak), right facial weakness, and right-sided Hemiparesis (Paralysis).
Dr. Amit immediately ordered a CT Scan of the Head, which showed a large haemorrhagic infarction (both bleeding and clotting) in the left front parietal region of the brain. Swelling around the affected area was causing the mid-line to shift into another side of the brain. This was an unusual type of stroke, as it was showing both clots and bleeding in the brain. Because of the large size of this lesion, the condition of the patient worsened very fast and he became unconscious and started having fits. The patient was immediately put on a ventilator, shifted to Neuro-ICU, and put on medications to decrease swelling.
To find out the exact cause and nature of the disease, a brain MRI with MR Venography was done. According to Dr. Amit, such large infarctions with haemorrhage are not that common in most patients and patients can be saved even without surgery also, if the cause is diagnosed. In this patient, Brain MRI showed venous infarction along with thrombosis (blockage) in the left transverse and sigmoid sinus, and hence there was an obstruction in veins (vessels taking blood from the brain back to the heart), rather than arteries (which bring blood from heart to brain).
Arterial clots are common and very dangerous, whether it’s brain or heart. In the heart, they cause heart attacks and in the brain, they commonly cause brain attack or brain stroke. But venous infarctions are also now recognized commonly and they can be managed if rightly diagnosed and treated timely with appropriate medications.
Based on these findings, the patient was immediately put on anti-coagulants (the drugs which dissolve clots in veins of the brain very effectively), along with medications to control fits besides medications to decrease swelling in the brain. With this treatment, the patient responded well. Slowly, his fits were brought under control, he became conscious and movements of his right side of the body also started. Repeat brain imaging showed a decrease in the mid-line shift, decrease in swelling of the brain. The patient was tracheotomised and finally taken off the ventilator. चंडीगढ़, 20 जनवरी। दक्षिणी हरियाणा में विकास व रोजगार के नए द्वार खोलने की दिशा में राज्य सरकार ने तेजी से कार्य करना शुरू कर दिया है। इसी कड़ी में बुधवार को प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला ने महेंद्रगढ़ जिला के नांगल चौधरी में प्रस्तावित उत्तर भारत के बड़े मल्टी मॉडल लॉजिस्टिक हब के निर्माण कार्य शुरू करने बारे अधिकारियों के साथ मंथन किया और आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए।
डिप्टी सीएम (जिनके पास उद्योग एवं वाणिज्य विभाग का प्रभार भी है) ने इस लॉजिस्टिक हब के निर्माण कार्यों से संबंधित बिजली विभाग, जनस्वास्थ्य एवं अभियांत्रिकी विभाग, सिंचाई एवं जल संसाधन विभाग, लोक निर्माण (भवन एवं सड़के) विभाग के अलावा हरियाणा राज्य औद्योगिक एवं बुनियादी ढांचा विकास निगम के आला अधिकारियों के साथ हब की तैयारियों की समीक्षा बैठक की। उन्होंने उक्त सभी विभागों के प्रस्तावित निर्माण कार्य का नक्शे के माध्यम से अवलोकन किया तथा बारीकी से अध्ययन करने के बाद अधिकारियों को टाइम-लाइन देते हुए उस अवधि में सभी औपचारिकताएं पूरी कर कार्य शुरू करने के निर्देश दिए।
दुष्यंत चौटाला ने समीक्षा बैठक के बाद बताया कि नांगल चौधरी में इस लॉजिस्टिक हब के खुलने से दक्षिणी हरियाणा में पहली बार मल्टीनेशनल कंपनियों का आगमन होगा और महेंद्रगढ़ जिला के लिए राजस्व का हिस्सा भी बढ़ेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह हब क्षेत्र के चहुंमुखी विकास एवं रोजगार के लिए मील का पत्थर सिद्ध होगा।
उपमुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि इस लॉजिस्टिक हब को दिल्ली-मुंबई डेडिकेटेड रेल फ्रेट कॉरिडोर का भी लाभ मिलेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि कंपनियों के लिए कच्चा माल लाने और तैयार माल ले जाने में कॉरिडोर अहम भूमिका निभाएगा। दुष्यंत चौटाला ने बताया कि दिल्ली-मुंबई के बीच कंटेनर के माध्यम से लाने या ले जाने वाले सामान को यहां पर उतारा या चढ़ाया जा सकेगा।
