प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल रविवार दोपहर अचानक खंगेसरा स्थित भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता वीरेन्द्र सिंह भाऊ के निवास स्थान पर पहुँचे। वीरेंद्र भाऊ ने मुख्यमंत्री का भव्य स्वागत किया और उन्हें पटका पहनाकर सम्मानित भी किया। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने यंहा वीरेंद्र भाऊ द्वारा लगाया गया आम के बाग का भी दौरा किया औऱ आम का स्वाद चखा। मुख्यमंत्री के साथ काफिले में आये सभी सुरक्षाकर्मियों व अन्य कर्मचारियों ने भी बाग में आम का स्वाद लिया। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल पहले भी एक बार वीरेंद्र भाऊ के बाग में आ चुके है औऱ मीठे आमों का स्वाद ले चुके है। वीरेंद्र सिंह भाऊ पंचकूला जिला परिषद के चैयरमैन भी रह चुके है। मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने वीरेंद्र भाऊ के साथ वर्तमान राजनीतिक हालातों को लेकर चर्चा की औऱ भाऊ ने क्षेत्रवासियों की समस्याओं से मुख्यमंत्री को अवगत करवाया। करीब एक घण्टे तक चली इस बातचीत औऱ आम के बाग की मस्ती के बाद मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल अपने गंतव्य की ओर रवाना हो गये।

पिंजौर/पंचकूला, 10 जुलाई- पिंजौर में आयोजित 29वें मैंगो मेला का आज बड़े ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ समापन हुआ। हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता ने पंचकूला के पिंजौर स्थित यादवेंद्र गार्डन में पर्यटन निगम और बागवानी विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में आयोजित 29वें तीन दिवसीय मैंगो मेला के समापन अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के रुप में शिरकत की। इस अवसर पर उनकी धर्मपत्नी श्रीमती बिमला गुप्ता भी उपस्थित थी।

इससे पूर्व श्री ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता ने मैंगो मेले का दौरा किया तथा मेले में लगाई गई आम की विभिन्न स्टालों पर जाकर आम उत्पादकों से बातचीत की।

Entries were invited for the “Competition for Design of Logo” for the CHASCON 2022 by the organizing team in the month of June. A total of 24 entries were received from the students of the Panjab University and affiliated colleges. On July, 8 2022, the organizing team announced that a specially-constituted jury had selected the design created by Ms. Rashmita Subba, a student at Government Home Science College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, as the winning entry in CHASCON 2022 logo design competition. The logo was designed in VIBGYOR pattern having the symbol of Chandigarh. It symbolizes various holistic approaches and amalgamation of various disciplines of science and technology towards growth and development. This logo will be used aa the official logo for the CHASCON and the winner will be awarded during the conference.

Chandigarh, July 9:- Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh and Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today visited Manimajra area to take stock of basic amenities and ongoing development works alongwith to see the problems of area residents.

The on foot visit of Commissioner was started at 7.00 am in the morning. The Mayor and Commissioner were accompanied by chief engineer, all Superintending Engineers and concerned Executive Engineers, SDEs, Junior Engineers of MCC, office bearers of Resident Welfare Associations and local residents.

During the visit the Commissioner asked the SE B&R and architect for proper planning of slip road near Sheetla Mata Mandir and culvert (near housing board light point), Manimajra. She asked the SE B&R to recarpet the road from housing board light point to fauji dhaba after scrapping.

The Commissioner asked the concerned engineers to install Sector 13 board at entry point of Shivalik Enclave and asked them to send a proposal to Chief Architect, UT for naming Shivalik Enclave as sector 13-A. The house indicators boards in Shivalik Enclave to be re-painted and numbering to be done at the earliest.

She asked to check the flow of water around the Nullah during rainy season and if possible for surfacing of small bridge with concrete/bituminous material besides refilling around the nullah with bio-soil and to develop the area as Green belt. The Commissioner asked the engineers to conduct digital survey of the vacant land near Chandigarh & Haryana boundary and the same to be submitted for further planning.

The Commissioner asked the engineers to install cat eye on speed breaker on road near Nullah in Shivalik Enclave. She asked the officers to write to SSP traffic to deploy traffic staff near entry point to Shivalik Enclave from Chandigarh Kalka Highway.

She further asked for cleaning of channel infront of house No. 53 at Shivalik Enclave and channel linked fencing to be done on area infront of house No. 275 after proper demarcation besides preparing expression of interest for design of Multi level parking on PPP basis for vacant land near Gobindpura, Manimajra.

The Commissioner asked the SE, Public Health, MCC to repair the leakage on road infront of house No. 110 and infront of house No. 80 in Shivalik Enclave. She asked the SE, Horticulture and Electricity to conduct survey of all the trees to identify the dangerous trees in the area. She said that UT electricity department to be written to repair/replace the inclined dangerous electricity pole infront of House No. 83, Shivalik Enclave.

She said that open air gyms be installed in all parks of Shivalik Enclave with paver blocks platforms besides providing high mast lights in all the parks. She asked the Medical Officer of Health to provide dustbins at various locations and maintain proper roaster system for sweeping of streets and malba lifting at shivalik enclave. The Commissioner also asked the concerned officers to remove temporary encroachments near Sheetla Mata Mandir, Manimajra.

In addition to that the Mayor and Commissioner planted saplings of various medicinal trees in park of NAC, Shivalik enclave, Manimajra, Sector 13 besides planting saplings in a park at sector 22, where area councilor Sh. Laxmi Bai Hall(GH2) organised an awareness drive on single use plastic cum plantation drive for the hostel residents and staff. An expert lecture by Mr.Prabhu Nath  Shahi who is Ex. Forest Officer and retired Flight Engineer of IAF  is working for saving the environment through his foundation Jai Madhusudan Jai Shri Krishna Foundation. The objective of the lecture was to make students aware about the drawbacks of single use plastic and to encourage them to imbibe new behaviours that are conducive for building a safe environment for living. The program concluded with oath taken by students to save their environment and distribution of plants among the students. A plantation drive was also conducted where in the students adopted the plants and promised to take care of them. They were also encouraged to handover the responsibility of their plant to new residents whenever they leave the hostel. Mr Shahi encouraged the students regarding active participation in plantation and stop the use of plastics.

पंचकूला, 7 जुलाई- आजादी के 75 साल पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में देशभर में मनाए जा रहे आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के अंतर्गत ’हर घर तिरंगा’ अभियान के तहत हरियाणा में हर घर पर 11 से 17 अगस्त, 2022 तक तिरंगा फहराया जाएगा। इस संबंध में आज मुख्य सचिव श्री संजीव कौशल ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से सभी जिला उपायुक्तों के साथ बैठक कर, उन्हें इस अभियान के सफल आयोजन के लिये आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि यह एक राष्ट्रीय पर्व है और अपने घरों पर तिरंगा फहराना हर देशवासी के लिये गर्व की बात है। उन्होंने कहा कि उपायुक्त अपने अपने जिलों में सुनिश्चित करें कि घरों के साथ-साथ सभी संस्थानों और प्रतिष्ठानों पर तिरंगा अवश्य फहराएं और जिन सरकारी भवनों पर झंडा नहीं फहराया जा रहा वहां पर प्राथमिकता के आधार पर झंडा फहराना सुनिश्चित करें।


बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री के अतिरिक्त प्रधान सचिव तथा सूचना, जनसंपर्क एवं भाषा विभाग के महानिदेशक डॉ. अमित कुमार अग्रवाल ने इस अभियान की रूपरेखा प्रस्तुत की। उन्होंने कहा कि तिरंगा देशभक्ति की भावना का प्रतीक है और इस अभियान को एक राष्ट्र पर्व की तरह मनाया जाये।  उन्होंने कहा कि इस अभियान को सफल बनाने के लिये सरकारी प्रयासों के साथ साथ एक जन आंदोलन बनायें। उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त की कि केंद्र सरकार की हर घर तिरंगा अभियान की इस अनूठी पहल को हरियाणा प्रदेश भव्य रूप से आयोजित करेगा और देश के समुख एक मिसाल पेश करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा में सरकारी विश्वविद्यालयों के साथ साथ निजी विश्वविद्यालयों का भी अहम योगदान रहेगा। उन्होंने सभी विश्वविद्यालयों के उप कुलपतियों से आह्वान किया कि वे अपने अपने विश्वविद्यालयों के परिसरों में स्थित आवास पर तिरंगा फहराये।


बैठक के पश्चात उपायुक्त श्री महावीर कौशिक ने लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारियों के साथ आयोजित बैठक की अध्यक्षता की और उन्हें जिला के गांवों व शहरों में घरों, सरकारी कार्यालयों, शैक्षणिक संस्थानों व ओद्यौगिक प्रतिष्ठानों पर 11 अगस्त से 17 अगस्त तक राष्ट्रीय ध्वज तिरंगा फहराने की व्यवस्था करने के निर्देश दिये।


उन्होंने बताया कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के लिए विकास एवं पंचायत विभाग को तिरंगे की उपलब्धता और वितरण के लिए नोडल विभाग बनाया गया है। पोस्ट ऑफिस, पंचायत घर, सामान्य सेवा केंद्रों, आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों इत्यादि पर तिरंगे उपलब्ध करवाए जाएंगे। तिरंगे बनाने में स्वयं सहायता समूहों के मदद ली जाएगी। इसी प्रकार, शहरी क्षेत्रों में शहरी स्थानीय निकाय विभाग तिरंगे की उपलब्धता और वितरण की जिम्मेवारी संभालेगा। इसके अलावा हरियाणा राज्य ओद्यौगिक आधारभूत संरचना विकास निगम एवं पंचकूला चेंबर्स आॅफ काॅमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्रीज के साथ बैठक कर काॅर्पोरेट सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी के तहत राष्ट्रीय ध्वज की उपलब्धता के लिये सहयोग लिया जायेगा। उपायुक्त ने कहा कि इस अभियान में जनता की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सभी राजनीतिक दलों, जनप्रतिनिधियों, जिला परिषदों इत्यादि के साथ शीघ्र ही एक बैठक आयोजित की जायेगी।

पंचकूला, 6 जुलाई- हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने आज डाॅ श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी की जयंती के अवसर पर भाजपा कार्यालय सकेतड़ी में पौधारोपण किया। इस अवसर पर उनके साथ बीजेपी के जिला प्रधान अजय शर्मा भी उपस्थित थे।


डाॅ श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी की जयंती के अवसर पर आज श्री गुप्ता ने पौधा रोपण की शुरूआत की। उन्होंने कहा कि जीवन में सभी को कम से कम पांच पौधे अवश्य लगाने चाहिये। उन्होंने कहा कि पौधो का महत्व मानव जीवन के लिये बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। उन्होंने कहा कि पौधे लगाने से पर्यावरण बचाया जा सकता है और हम शुद्ध हवा में सांस लें सकते है।


इसके पश्चात विधानसभा अध्यक्ष श्री गुप्ता ने एमडीसी के सेक्टर-6 के सामुदायिक केंद्र में भी पौधारोपण किया।


उन्होंने कहा कि पेड़ पौधे मानव जीवन का आधार हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय समाज में आदिकाल से ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण को महत्व दिया गया है। भारतीय संस्कृति में पेड़-पौधों को पूजा जाता है। भारतीय परंपरा है कि विभिन्न वृक्षों में विभिन्न देवताओं का वास होता है और घर में पेड़ होना शुभ माना जाता था।


उन्होंने कहा कि पौधे लगाने के साथ साथ उनका रख रखाव भी आवश्यक है। इस अवसर पर बीजेपी जिला प्रधान अजय शर्मा ने भी पौधारोपण किया। करनाल प्रभारी व पूर्व प्रधान दीपक शर्मा, पार्षद नरेंद्र लुबाना ने भी पौधा लगाकर पर्यावरण बचाने का संदेश दिया।

Hamirpur, July 6, 2022: A 54-year-old woman from Hamirpur was facing a challenging time as she had been suffering from acute pain in her lower back and had an unsteady gait. The pain radiated down to both her legs and affected her mobility. Simple daily activities such as walking had become cumbersome as her health condition aggravated over time.The Patienttried different modes of treatment to relieve her pain, but her symptoms continued to persist.

The Patientrecently approached Dr (Lt Col) Harmandeep Singh Brar, Associate Consultant, Neuro Surgery, Fortis Hospital Mohali, during a Neuro Surgery OPD organised by Fortis Mohali in Hamirpur.

The Neuro Surgery OPD is held at Aastha Multi-speciality Hospital in collaboration with Fortis Mohali on the first Saturday of every month at Hamirpur.

Upon examination, the Patient exhibited symptoms such as difficulty in standing, walking, bending down etc.After thorough examination and investigation, Dr Braradvised the Patient to undergo a Lumbar Spine Fixation and Decompression Surgery.

Lumbar Spine Fixationcan offer relief from lower back pain.The procedureinvolves insertion of bone graft material and other devices such as screws, spinal wires, artificial ligaments, vertebral cages, and artificial discs to provide support to the backbone.Decompression Surgeryalso relieves pain as compressed nerves in the lower (lumbar) spine are treated.

The team of doctors led by Dr Brar operated on the Patientthrough the latest technology of Neuro-navigationon 12th May this year.Neuro-navigation is a computer-assisted surgery that allows a surgeon to ‘navigate’ within the spinal column with precision.

Following good rehabilitation at Fortis Mohali, the Patient had a smooth recovery and was discharged on the 4th day of the surgery.She has fully recovered and isleading a normal life today.

A 52-year-old woman from Hamirpur had acute pain in the nape of her neckwhich caused numbness in her left arm.She approached Dr Brar at Neuro Surgery OPD, where shewas diagnosed withCervicalDisc Problem orCervical Spondylosis, which is caused due to wear and tear of the cervical disc.The Patientunderwent a Cervical Spine Surgeryon 30th May this year,wherein her damaged disc was removed and an artificial disc (PEEK cage)was placed in the space between the vertebrae.An artificial discis used to replace a damaged spinal disc and helps two vertebrae to fuse together. She was discharged four days after the surgery.

Post-surgery, the Patient has recovered completely and has resumed her normal routine.

Stressing on early diagnosis of spine-related problems, Dr Brar, said, “Lumbar Spine surgeries are safe and provide relief from symptoms. With neuro-navigation, a patient has shorter stay in the hospital and is able to walk 24 hours after the procedure.A patient is not necessarily bed-ridden and discharged from the hospital early. Spinal trauma and spinal cord tumours can be successfully treated through neuro-navigation.”

Panjab University in its Senate Meeting held today deliberated on all the agenda items and approved the following.

            The agenda for the change in nomenclature from MBA (Executive) to Master of Business Administration (MBA) along with Regulation and rules was unanimously approved.

            In another agenda item, the roster for the post of Associate Professors was unanimously approved which was highly appreciated by most of the fellows.

            In another agenda item regarding restarting B.Com Course at Panjab University Regional Centre, Kauni and introduction of new subjects i.e. Music Vocal Fine Arts, Comparative studies of Religion in BA Course for the Academic Session 2022-23 was also approved.

            In another agenda item, B.Voc. (Software Development), B.Voc. (Hardware and Networking) and B.Voc. Multimedia (Graphics and Animations) with at least 50%, be added in the eligibility criteria for Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications (being run in USOL) from the academic session 2022-23 was also approved.

            The Senate also approved the eligibility conditions for M.Sc. Home Science (Clothing & Textiles), M.Sc. Home Science (Human Development), M.Sc. Home Science (Foods & Nutrition), Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics and change in the nomenclature of course B.Sc. Home Science (Human Development and Family Relations) to B.Sc. Home Science (Human Development).

            In another major decision, the number of seats in the course of M.A. Sanskrit were decreased from 68 to 40 was approved. This was debated at length.

            In another decision, University Institute of Applied Management Sciences and University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism to independently run the Ph.D. Course in Applied Management and Sectoral domains from the session 2022-23 was approved.

            The Senate also approved the increase of 7.5% (Maximum to Rs. 7500) fee structure for the partially Self Financing Courses while a maximum of Rs. 500/- for the traditional courses in University Teaching Departments, and its Regional Centres/Constituent Colleges of the Panjab University for the session 2022- 2023 except students belonging to SC/ST and EWS category.

            The Senate also approved the proposed fee hike for the session 2022- 2023 in respect of all affiliated colleges of Panjab University to a maximum of 10% (Upto Rs.1000/-) except students belonging to SC/ST and EWS category..

            The Senate also approved the examination fees to a maximum of Rs. 1000/- and minimum of Rs. 200/-.
